Tbh, I think you give it a little too little credit. Imo, it has a reasonably fresh feel (except the very beginning where he gets kicked), and it doesn't do anything super wrong which clears soooo many shows. It's not like the most original or mind-bending thing out there, but the characters are pretty likable and the plot is actually reasonably sound on first glance.

Uhh, depends on if you like Isekai/fantasy type of thing. It has a typical banished from party element just because he's a healer. Nice guy type of figure, ect.
Story is generic that he wants to open up shop or something but few things happen around him. Girls are funny and protective of him. It's not that serious of an anime, just a laid back fun series to watch. Nothing much really, try couple of episodes and see if you like it.

How exactly was it bad? Yeah certainly some aspects of it wasn't great but it wasn't bad either. The story was damn good for a season 1. The first episode was the only bad thing about the show. You have an annoying brat that actually becomes a decent person later in the story.
