Hi ema_dalpeloponneso, it seems like you might be looking for new anime to watch!

The users of this subreddit came up with [a chart of anime recommendations for newcomers and veterans](https://i.redd.it/0w1v880jtq661.png) and [an awesome longer flowchart](https://i.redd.it/vdzlkodz19c71.png). Maybe you can find something there that you'll like \^.\^

You could try Ergo Proxy, Parasyte, or Devilman Crybaby.

Taku_Ou2026-01-04 23:20

Oh definitely Devilman crybaby it’s such a sweet slice of life and is like a mix of evangelion and jjk . You should in fact watch with your family ❤️

Also psycho pass, odd taxi, the promise neverland and stains gate

lavaine2026-01-04 22:54

Knights of Sidonia, perhaps. (rough mix of vague Eva + Titan vibes)

Qualidea Code. Hang in through the first couple episodes it gets really good.

Ore no Imouto ga Konnani Kawaii Wake ga Nai

Try "Dungeon Meshi".

Mr_Rock-haley2026-01-05 03:05

Maybe Bungou Stray Dogs, but it's quite long
Little Witch Academia is a good choice because it has a good amount of action

My little sister and I watched Komi Can't Communicate and loved it ( ´-ω-)

I could be mean and say "Koi Kaze" LOL... but seriously it seems like you guys have a pretty wide variety when it comes to taste, although you tend to like the more 'artsy' shows whereas she likes the more straight up action oriented ones.

Give Kill La Kill, Erased, Psycho Pass or Lycoris Recoil a try. They're still action oriented but have enough "artistic quality" for those with more discerning tastes as well.

i'd say dr.stone probably? its not that long (i'd say) i'd also consider girls last tour

You might like Claymore, just note that there’s nonsexual nudity in one of the later episodes. I haven’t seen it in a few years but iirc most of the violence is censored or very tame. 25 episodes
I didn’t finish jjk, but Claymore gives similar vibes.

Your sister might enjoy Sentenced to be a hero, but it’s incredibly violent and completely uncensored as far as I know, not suitable for children. It’s kinda like attack on titan but replace titans with demons infecting wildlife using this fungus-like thing? Then attacking humanity. 1 episode so far, not sure how many there will be.

If these are no good, could always try some slice of life classics
Clannad
Toradora
Angel beats

As with all recommendations, give it a watch first to see if it’s age appropriate
