Recommendations for someone relatively new to anime!

I just started watching anime this year and would love some suggestions according to my taste. Here is everything I have watched so far.

Love: Attack on Titan, Haikyuu
Really enjoyed (action): Demon Slayer, Bungou Stray Dogs, Link Click
Really enjoyed (not action): Bloom Into You, Given, Yuri on Ice, The Summer Hikaru Died
Fine but had some issues with: Kaiju No. 8, Psycho-Pass, Death Note, Horimiya, A Place Further Than the Universe, Trigun (2023)
Didn’t like: JJK, Chainsaw Man, Kuroko’s Basketball

I really like action/adventure, slice-of-life, and LGBTQ+ stories. Bonus points if there’s good art (mostly the reason why I’ve stuck to newer shows so far).

Hi R45tx, it seems like you might be looking for new anime to watch!

The users of this subreddit came up with [a chart of anime recommendations for newcomers and veterans](https://i.redd.it/0w1v880jtq661.png) and [an awesome longer flowchart](https://i.redd.it/vdzlkodz19c71.png). Maybe you can find something there that you'll like \^.\^

I mean the most obvious choice is Frieren, another good one is Violet Evergarden!

In my opinion I would recommend you to read (or watch if you don’t like mangas) bleach and Tokyo ghoul. I love both of these anime’s and I hope you can just take a peak at them to see if you like them too.

hmmmm I know my hero academia is for some reason devisive to talk about but it really seems like you would like it.
Made by the studio that did bungou stray dogs and has a very colorful cast some I would say would imply lgbtq but doesn't outright say so or anything. Art and Animation is GORGEOUS. give that a try.

If you like queer coded stuff Ranma 1/2 is fun and I really like K / K Project which is also pretty gay. I haven’t watched it but I’ve heard Carole and Tuesday is a good lesbian anime and Nana is one of the more well known lesbianish animes. Again haven’t watched it but I’ve heard Banana Fish is another more well known lgbtish anime. Action wise Gachiakuta is great and has a cool story line/art style. Mob psycho 100 is also great, it’s a bit slower the first 4 or so episodes but picks up a lot and has great animation.

There's no freaking way I'll be Your Lover, unless...

Watch it before the creators take it off YouTube.

I suggest browsing a database site such as [MyAnimeList](https://myanimelist.net/) (MAL).
Peruse the [top anime list](https://myanimelist.net/topanime.php), see if any stand out.
If you like a series, such as attack on titan, go over to its MAL page and you will find similar [user recommended shows](https://myanimelist.net/anime/16498/Shingeki_no_Kyojin/userrecs). For instance the first 2 recommendations are "The promised neverland" and "Seraph of the end".

Cherry magic, Sasaki and Miyano, Twilight out of focus, Banana fish, Tadaima Okairi (no action at all tho), Given and Sk8 to the infinity; they are all BL stories.
