Sports anime recommendations please

I am a sucker for sports anime and have already watched a ton of them. I would like it if its more realistic and not full on kamehameha bullshit like blue lock or knb where some guy is shooting 3s like every second. Something more like baby steps or haikyuu

Run with the wind, it’s a show about track but it’s great.

If you wanna go old, Ashita no Joe is the only anime with legend of the galactic heroes pre 2000 on the mal top 50 (Beebop is 48 on mal at least)and anilist top 20. It’s old and joe 1 is a bit of a culture shock but immaculate writing when it hits its peak and 2 hasn’t aged a day

I'd lean towards "Medalist" if you're a fan of Baby Steps and Haikyuu.

Hilarious and emotionally cathartic "coming of age" story.

Failed athlete (and the audience are) rescued by a guardian angel (another failed athlete, life coach, blazing sun).

Episode 1 hook is so strong, it's a black hole.

The premise itself is technically a girl that figure skates. The story itself is aimed at any viewer that is familiar with failure/struggle
