Anime that is not that ... "Anime"?

Hi folks.
Im already preparing myself for probably the biggest disslike wave imaginable, but if I wanna look for something, I probably need to ask here.

I watched a lot of Anime in my lifetime, and some of my favs are:
- Cowboy Bebop
- One Piece
- Delicious in Dungeon
- Baki
- Black Lagoon
- Afro Samurai

Havent watched that many Shows in the last few years. Most modern Anime fell quite off for me in the last years, and I think I figured what my problem is. I think I developed a distaste for... most "Anime stuff". Hope you can understand what I am talking about.
- overly sexualiced characters
- Sexual Harassment = Funny
- Most characters look the same
- IQ of characters on roomtemperature Level for the lols
- Every 2nd show playing in a school
- a few more common Anime Stereotypes

I really wanna watch more Anime again, but I really dont wanna be bombarded by stuff like these. I dont wanna insult anyone enjoying those tropes, its just that they are not for me anymore.

If you could reccomend me a a great Show without these tropes, regardless of serious stuff or light hearted. Would really apreciate, thanks ❤️

I feel like Rakugo Shinjuu is often ignored for how good it is. The story telling and drama aspects of it are really unmatched.

honestly there's quite a lot of anime that don't really fall into that list of negatives anymore; these are some personal favorites of mine that have also been quite well received by the community.

All those things you have an issue with aren’t new, and in fact, in general, they are way less suggestive these days (some exceptions aside) than even just ten years ago. Anime used to be way more ecchi than it is now.

Going to offer two anime that aren't very much alike.

1) 86

This one might be okay for you...there's gonna be a bit of the 'anime' stuff you dislike but it's a show about warfare, classism, racism, and a lot of other topics anime doesn't typically cover.

2) Oddtaxi

This one is going to throw you from the beginning with its art style, but it's a solid film noir drama/mystery with so many moving parts that all slowly come together.

Looking at your list I don’t think you’re a slice of life/shoujo type of person; but have you considered looking into shounen written by women (Fullmetal Alchemist/Blue Exorcist)?

In general, look for "Seinen" anime and avoid (most) "Shounen", that should cover most of your pain points.

You might like lord of the mysteries. Just be prepared for bad pacing in the first few episodes(fast pace) and confusion until the end of the season

Bunny Girl Senpai, now now now..... You will probably see the thumbnail on the anime right now and say this — these are the total opposite to the things you've been saying here and the title too... This is clearly not what I wanted.

But this is just a trick of what modern media use to garner an audience quickly. But in all actuality it's about "The puberty syndrome" in which a character gets disease relating to their past trauma. Somewhat it's also connected to quantum physics you'll get to learn too while watching it. Even sometimes in the movie you'll get soo... confused because you'll basically have to get a YouTuber to analyze the ending. To not spoil a bunch basically just watch the 1st three episodes and give it a try and drop it if you don't like it.

Try the apothecary diaries it's a mystery anime set in fictional imperial china it has a pretty clever main character and the animation is very pretty.

If you liked Dungeon Meshi, there's "Frieren". Lots of overlap, practically clones (worldbuilding is shallower though).
