I’m gonna be nice because I love MHA, but this song sucks. Nothing compared to OP 1. Just sounds like every generic shonen show.
The visuals are pretty good.

I like the song, but I’m very disappointed with the visuals
VideoGamesForU2026-01-05 14:53
this! OP1 was not only catchy but had great visuals too. This one is okay, but really nothing to see here. Could have been ending visuals too. Song is okay, but doesn't have the "oompf" at that part where it should have it.
MonsterKiller1122026-01-05 14:46
A bit of a downgrade from the first one but it's okay.
PiFlavoredPie2026-01-05 17:49
Honestly OP1 wasn't even that strong from a purely animation perspective, but the presentation of the song combined with special effects made it larger than the sum of its parts. This one is just... eh.
Nachtwandler_FS2026-01-05 18:08
The artstyle is nice but it is way moee... generic (in all aspects). I did not even watch the show but I really liked the first OP.
Severe_Working_59342026-01-05 14:48
The song sucks, visuals are decent. I really liked S1 OP but this one dosent even come close.
Clobberin2026-01-05 16:29
For the it's the opposite. The song is catchy and fun af, but the visuals are meh.
Florac2026-01-05 14:49
Um..hello, animation? How do you go from something as great as the first OP to this
Ponczo1232026-01-05 15:00
Song sucks and visuals are meh at best
huehuehuehuehuuuu2026-01-05 15:03
Super generic all around
Darkwarz2026-01-05 15:16
The completely still images of the characters sliding across the screen during the chorus is really something
A1D3M2026-01-05 15:24
Did they forget to animate it? I haven’t seen an op with this little movement since Elfen Lied.
IbizenThoth2026-01-05 15:44
At least Elfen Lied had the Gustav Klimt painting motifs through it.
This one is, sadly, merely uninteresting.
dagreenman182026-01-05 15:45
It even feels like one of the weaker MHA Ops. But it’s hard to follow up OP1

Threee is the member of Aooo, which you might be familiar with them performing the first ending song of Witch Watch. Also made the song for 2nd OP of 2022's Urusei Yatsura S1.

so does the pink girl ever gets her ass shown or something? i will watch if so
Outlulz2026-01-05 19:08
I'm sorry but the 15 year old's butt is not a focus of this anime.
Spirited-Brat_Tamer2026-01-05 19:10
So no fan service? Lame
Horaji122026-01-05 22:28
Cannot compare with first one, but it's perfectly servicable and I like it moderatelly.
Ausollet2026-01-06 01:56
I may be coping hard, but I wonder if this is one of those openings they'll update as the series progresses. There's tons of progression and reveals that can't be added for spoiler reasons, so maybe some still frames are place holders for now.
Lex47092026-01-06 02:58
Downgrade from first op but the song itself is pretty solid. The visuals tho, are a bit lacking. I don't actually think it's because of the animation. If you rewatch the first OP, you will notice that at least two-thirds of that opening are also still shots, and characters sliding across the screen and looped animation. The first one is just edited way better. Still, shots don't linger, colours of still shots constantly changing, and they reused animation from the show itself to insert more animation into background of some cheaper animation, so it looks more dynamic.
This one lingers on the same still shots a bit too long, so the lack of animation becomes more noticeable.
duo99dusk2026-01-06 05:42
I don't watch the anime, but the OP was recommended in YT and I kinda like it but I see why people aren't very happy, they really needed some big animation moment to happen after 0:53 to coincide with the 1:04 part, visually I liked the comic book like aesthetics but needed some action shots.
