code geass (lelouch one)
ranking of the kings
vinland saga

Have you read the Hunter X Hunter manga? The succession war arc is super cool, highly recommend it.

Just based on stuff that came to mind right now, focusing on more shounen-oriented shows with action and fast pacing:

* Dandadan
* Madoka Magika
* Eighty Six
* Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood
* Mob Psycho 100
* Heroic Legend of Arslaan
* Legend of Galactic Heroes

Stuff that's not as action-oriented (sports, music, setc) but nonetheless are worth really watching:

* Frieren
* Medalist
* Bocchi the Rock
* Pluto
* Chi

Hard choice tbh

Watched many awesome anime

1. Full Metal Panic

2. Sword Art Online

3. Spy x Family

4. Yona of the Dawn

5. Astra Lost In Space

Not my personal top 5 but based on what you watched

Fire Force (no filler)
Chainsaw Man (no filler)
Gintama (Skip ep1&2 trust they not important u can watch it later) (very little filler)
Frieren (no filler)
Gurren Lagann (no filler)

My top 5 favourite anime are in this YouTube video: [my top 5 favourite anime ](https://youtu.be/-yUe1U6pTcY)

The anime i mentioned in the video are:

5. Code Geass

4. Clannad after story

3. Attack on titan

2. Steins Gate

1. Mushoku tensei

Made in Abyss, Goblin Slayer, Code Geass, Detective Conan, Konosuba

1. Cowboy Bebop
2. Samurai Champloo
3. Cyberpunk Edgerunners
4. FLCL
5. Bakemonogatari

Drifters, same Dude as Hellsing.

Sadly both without a S2

1. Steins;Gate

3. Orb: On the Movements of the Earth
4. Gurren Lagann
5. Attack on Titan

Yuru Camp

Bunny Girl Senpai

In no particular order:

- Mushoku Tensei
- Sword Art Online
- Frieren
- Eighty-Six
- Violet Evergarden

Attack on Titan as well, but you already mentioned that. I'd also put Spice and Wolf, Re:ZERO, and Dandadan on that list, because there's no way I can just have five favorites.

[deleted]

Legend of the galactic heroes

Vinland Saga

Ashita no Joe

Monster

and then it's a hard choice for the 5th one. There are a bunch of things I rate similar to be honest: Kengan Ashura, Kingdom, Berserk, Death Note, Gintama, Hajime no Ippo, Pluto, Inuyashiki, Ping Pong, Perfect Blue. Those are the ones coming to mind immediately.

If JoJo part 7 will get a good adaptation this year, it has a strong chance of making it into my top 5 (yes, I do read manga as well)

Top 5 are

Solo leveling
Naruto
Angel next door spoils me rotten
Demon Slayer
AOT

Go?

I usually only watch romance and slice of life animes so:-

Golden time

The quintessential quintuplets

Nisekoi

Bocchi the rock

Saiki k

I picked these based on how much impact they had on me, how much I think of them still, and how formative some of them were: (in no particular order aside from Frieren being #1)

Frieren - Probably marks a second era of anime for me. It had been long since I've love-loved anime as much when Frieren came out.

Gintama - easily the funniest anime I've watched, yet it really does action and emotional beats superbly well.

FMA:B - A classic. Textbook of what a perfect anime is, imo.

Orb - I cried a lot. One of the few anime to break out from expected themes and plots-- and done very very well too. I don't know if it will remain in my top 5 for long, but easily top 10, for sure.

Bleach - Formative childhood anime. I could've counted Naruto too, but I like Bleach better. Huge plus that we're seeing a generational adaptation of TYBW too.

(K-On) - The Phantom Sixth ~~man~~ anime of the list. This to me was peak slice of life. Even with an abundance of anime in the genre that came out since, nothing has been able to top K-On, in my eyes.

(Fate) - The unexpected seventh ~~servant~~ anime has been summoned. I just really love the IP lmfao. Objectively, I wouldn't call them GOAT, but they're my GOATs damnit.

I'll give a shout to Bocchi, Shinsekai Yori, CSM:Reze, Hyouka, Chihayafuru, NGNL, Kusuriya, Re:Zero, Black Lagoon, Hellsing, Durarara, Noragami, and many more, but they're titles I really love but not to the level of all-timers.

Fate,
Ghost in the Shell,
Eminence in the shadow,
Overlord,
YuGiOh

It’s hard to choose. Here is my top 5, in no particular order
1. Attack on titan
2. Evangelion
3. K-ON!
4. Sword art online
5. Lupin the 3rd

GATE

Pseudo Harem

Spice and Wolf

Let This Grieving Soul Retire

Crush at Work

Hunter x Hunter

Monster

Great Teacher Onizuka

Perfect Blue

Ergo Proxy

Probably those 5, and then to round out the top 10 would be Baccano!, the Tatami Galaxy, Evangelion, Oddtaxi, and one of Ping Pong, Kaiba, Ghost in the Shell, Golden Boy, or Serial Experiments Lain

1. Legend of the Galactic Heroes
2. HunterXHunter
3. Baccano!
4. Cowboy Bebop
5. Code Geass

Kimagure Orange Road
Campfire Cooking in Another World with My Absurd Skill
Food Wars
AirGear
The Apothecary Diaries

Clannad

Evangelion

Hibike! Euphonium

K-on

My Dress up Darling

Going purely by the score I gave them right after watching:

Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood

Re:Zero

Akudama Drive

Snow White With the Red Hair

The Ancient Magus' Bride

With time between me and them, **FMA:B, Akudama Drive, and Re:Zero** keep their spots, while I'd replace Ancient Magus and Snow White with something else (though they'd remain high in my overall list).

Incidentally, you'd probably like the first three; the latter two are a lot softer than any of the shows you listed, but you might still enjoy them. Alternatively, **Golden Kamuy and Beastars** are a couple of my runners-up you might prefer.

1. Liz and the Blue Bird
2. Revue Starlight + its movie sequel
3. Perfect Blue
4. Indigo Road
5. Yoru no Kuni

- Re:ZERO,
- Ranma ½ (2024),
- Attack on Titan,
- Nichojou,
- Frieren: Beyond Journey's End

Honorable mentions because it's really difficult to pick five. Any of these can replace Frieren in my top 5.

- Dororo,
- Made in Abyss,
- Kaguya-sama: Love is War,
- Ancient Magus' Bride

- Hunter x Hunter
- Monster
- Steins; Gate
- FMA: Brotherhood
- Kuroshituji

Honorable mentions are:

- Jujutsu Kaisen
- Ouran Koukou Host Club
- Naruto
- Barakamon
- GTO
- Fate stay night Unlimited Blade Works
- Attack on Titan

I was making the list and I realized how hard a top 5 is, many favorites of mine would be left off and the list has changed multiply times. Why was this so hard but I did it somehow and I'm not sure about the top 5.

My top 5 favorite anime are.

1. Little Busters

2. Made In Abyss

3. Assassination Classroom

4. Mysterious Girlfriend X

5. Violet Evergarden

Code Geass

A Silent Voice

A Place Further Than the Universe

Shinsekai Yori

Monster

Just for the record, nowdays you can check which is a filler episode and bypass it.

For example Naruto without fillers is one of the best shows, with fillers is .. meh

86

1- Neon genesis evangelion
2- Steins Gate
3- FLCL
4- Monster
5- Ergo Proxy/Serial Experiments Lain/Berserk 1997
I love "psychological" animes

- 1.) Inuyasha
- 2.) Koi Kaze
- 3.) Haibane Renmei
- 4.) Higurashi no Naku Koro ni & Kai
- 5.) Kenpuu Denki Berserk

If you actually consistently and constantly watch new anime.... I don't think you will even manage to have a top 5. It'd more be like best of the year, best of the season and you'd just struggle to name the "top of everything" because there's just too goddamn many. Not to mention your tastes change as you age.

I've been watching anime for over two decades. There's no best anime of all time.
