anime where mc is genius?

I’m looking for anime recommendations like *Death Note*, mainly where the main character is extremely intelligent or genius-level. I enjoy watching characters who solve problems using logic, planning, and sharp thinking, and whose intelligence is shown clearly throughout the story. Any suggestions like that would be appreciated.
I already seen COTE, Tomodachi game

Hi No-Connection-241, it seems like you might be looking for new anime to watch!

Specific-Word-59512026-01-06 14:58

Dr. Stone and Code Geass fits the bill.

No-Connection-2412026-01-06 15:12

already seen co geass

caspian3242026-01-06 15:32

Loved Dr. Stone, if fits the bill

Sadly, there is no season 2

Lower_Refrigerator_22026-01-06 15:02

The only correct answer after death note is Code Geass.

Pretty much exactly what you’re looking for.

Aldnoah Zero is also very similar but not to the level of Code Geass. Mc is very smart thou.

Somebody spoiled Aldnoah Zero and it made me drop. Now that I have forgotten what the spoiler is, might finish it again lol.

I remember going bonkers for its OST though.

Lower_Refrigerator_22026-01-06 18:18

Damn man it’s been so long I don’t even know what the spoiler could be but I do remember the fights being hella fun and outside of the box 😂😂😂

a_sliceoflife2026-01-06 19:28

Ah man, I fucked up and got the animes mixed up as both has Hiroyuki Sawano's OSTs. The one I had in mind was actually "Guilty Crown" lol.

Lower_Refrigerator_22026-01-06 19:37

Oh yeah I can see how that could be Spoiled. Show was pretty much a rip of Code Geass but gd was that sound track dope 😂😂😂

I still got Theishter’s piano cover of My Dearest on my play list 🤣😂🤣

Lower_Refrigerator_22026-01-06 19:42

But yeah man give Aldnoah a Shot pretty good. Like I said fights are dope.

Like how do you stop what is basically a light saber well let’s just reactive armor this shit and strap own mech with explosives so the force knocks the blade away and disrupts the beam some real clever shit like that

And the fact that my dude takes out all these fkers in a school training mech is just icing on the cake 😂😂😂

shadowmdJoestar2026-01-06 15:27

Monster easily (even tho the mc isn't the smartest guy, but based on what u said it suits very well. Its little to no action and mostly just mystery and thriller)

Ratt_Bastardd2026-01-06 16:18

Urasawa is one of the best Mangaka of our time

Psychological-Task262026-01-06 15:27

Bro thinks he’s Yagami lol. Also, in the second half of Death Note, Yagami’s plans become incredibly stupid, and his arrogance and ego stop him from being the super logical thinker people think he is. If you want an anime with an actually well written logical thinker, check out apothecary diaries.

Maybe Apothecary Diaries?

Sav1at0R12026-01-06 16:10

I've started it just recently, and I'd definitely recommend giving it a shot

Ipuncholdpeople2026-01-06 16:17

I just started that this week and have liked it a lot so far. It thankfully has less romance than I expected and the MC is a fun weirdo

Funny-Fox-63392026-01-06 18:13

So, this is not an anime but a Chinese novel called Reverend Insanity. I know this is the anime sub but what you want is exactly this novel. If you start reading this, you will truly understand what a smart, cunning and wise mc is. You would feel like every other mc you have known up to this point are incomparable to Fang Yuan. Hopefully you give it a try
