On the plus side, at least HIDIVE notifies people of when show licenses are expiring so people know to watch the shows before they disappear.
On the other hand, it still really sucks that shows get removed in the first place. Licensing is hell.

It's so weird because they'll let shows lapse and then bring them back later anyway. One of the previous announcements included the early seasons of Food Wars returning, this announcement includes Princess Principal.
I doubt they *want* shows to be leaving and rejoining the service like that, so it makes me wonder if it's a pricing or negotiation tactic.

It actually got way better very recently, watch history/up next actually remembers what episodes you watched and puts the next episode right on your homepage, on mobile you don't have to click full screen 4 times anymore to get it to go full screen, and in general it looks a little bit cleaner than before. My only complaint is I still don't see a way to switch the subtitle colors so that main conversations are white and sidebars are yellow. The yellow is just so ugly to have all the time.
