Do anime moviegoers watch the dub in theaters ?
Anime films shown in theaters are always screened in both subtitled and dubbed versions (if available or decided by the distributor such as CR, GKIDS), but I'm curious about people's reactions or opinions about the dubbed version and the number of viewers who watch the dubbed version of anime movies from sequels, hit shounen like MHA, Demon Slayer, Chainsaw Man and original like Ghibli, Hosoda, Shinkai etc.
I made this after i saw the reaction of the dubbed Zombieland Saga movie, I've never seeing so many complains of the upcoming Zombieland Saga Movie in english dub and wanting the sub version, i mean the dub its good, its like how people react on Jujutsu Kaisen 0 Movie.
So do any of you watching anime movies in theaters in sub or dub ?

Sometimes I'll even go back and watch it both dubbed and subbed if I like it enough (and it runs for more than 2 days on a weekday)
I feel like it wouldn’t be very hard to just hire someone that can actually act.
Though I don’t actually need subtitles in either case so I always try to sit at the perfect distance where they stay at the very bottom of my field of vision and are easier to ignore, because it can be a little distracting at times
That being said these movie subtitlers need to step up their game. I just came back from the Lupin film and it and the last film I saw had enough lines wrong that it's no different from a weekly anime episode translated under a crunch.
I don't see why people would suddenly switch their preferences for movies.
Sub watchers are just very loud.
Honestly if a movie I've been waiting for only released a dubbed screening in the US, I would 100% wait until the subbed version reached streaming services instead.
If it's a standalone original movie, then I'll usually just default to the dub for the convenience.
Made especially more egregious when the Australian cinema run is offering both options and is running for more than a single day.
I prefer dub if possible, but those usually show on Monday nights and I have work, so sub it is.
