Help me to get anime based on tactics intelligence or detective type.
Im watching anime after a long time. Among the anime I have watched, I liked code geass, one outs, death note etc. Please help me to find out more like these.
Hi Maleficent-Card5781, it seems like you might be looking for new anime to watch!

*Alderamin on the Sky* is specifically on military tactics and strategy.
For political strategy and maneuvering with some military components, *How a Realist Hero Rebuilt the Kingdom* or *The Genius Prince's Guide to Raising a Nation Out of Debt.*
Ashteron2026-01-07 08:04
* Kaiji,
* Legend of the Galactic Heroes,
* In/Spectre,
* Shadows House,
* The upcoming adaptation of Liar Game,
* Arslan Senki,
* Sakurada Reset,
* Akagi if you are willing to learn about mahjong.

If you want a detective type,
“ID invaded” is a good one.
For an Intelligence/ suspense kind of vibe like death note I’d say
“Tomodachi game”
BigBish99912026-01-07 08:06
Ghost in the shell stand alone complex
olo_maedos2026-01-07 08:08
_Tomodachi Game_ (2022) was well done and tactical, I think you should appreciate it!
Maleficent-Card57812026-01-07 08:15
Thanks for the recommendation. Where can i watch this
olo_maedos2026-01-07 08:30
On Crunchyroll I think, but tbh, I’m more of a pirate when it comes to watching anime 🏴☠️
madaract2026-01-07 09:00
some of the pirate fansub even more thorough in translation than the legal ones.
most of them include OP/ED lyrics, things that written on paper/board/signs, and sometimes elaborate Japanese local puns/jokes.

True that!

Erased (2016) it's not a tactical intelligence anime in particular but a really good anime with a great plot and thrill . If you like anime like code geass and death note I can guarantee you would love it

[Terror in Resonance](https://www.crunchyroll.com/series/G675W00MR/terror-in-resonance?utm_medium=android&utm_source=share) is such an amazing anime! The music and atmosphere were so exhilarating. I loved the first half so much. The 2nd half stepped away from detective thriller sadly. On Netflix, CR, Viki, and Plex.

Dr Stone has a little bit of everything

A lot of good recommendations so I'm just going to add a couple that haven't been mentioned:
- World Trigger! The first season animation is not great but it's getting a reboot this year so it may be worth it to wait for that. One of the best examples of battle tactics in anime with a well-thought power system.
- Moriarty the Patriot - Moriarty trying to outsmart Sherlock Holmes.
- Eminence in the Shadows is a comedy but has a decent amount of strategy involved
- Raven of the Inner Palace - well executed mystery anime with some supernatural stuff
Brunonin2026-01-07 14:20
You'll definitely like Talentless Nana. It's an hidden gem and It has similarities to Death Note
abandoned_idol2026-01-07 16:37
World Trigger is the "tactics and intelligence" anime. Like a lobby paintball anime of sorts.
Wait for the release of the re-adaptation of season 1 before watching it though.
