Do you ever stop an anime halfway, then come back months later and love it?
I’ve noticed there are some anime I drop early not because they’re bad, but because I wasn’t in the right mood at the time. Then months (or even years) later, I randomly pick them back up and suddenly it just works.
Do you have any shows like that? What made you give it another chance, and did your opinion change the second time around?

dropped it the first time after like two episodes, and then a few months later I was convinced to try it again and it's one of my favorite comedies now
You will binge it when you have important work to do
I've stopped fist time I think just before meeting Usopp and then I've started reading the manga went back to the anime and I've seen it so far like 5-6 times in Japanese and 3 times English dub
I was watching it weekly till around episode 6. I guess I wasn't just feeling it especially when Frieren was airing and i found it to be the more engaging fantasy anime.
Months later I completed and I indeed loved it, it definetely stands on its own ground as an unique fantasy show seprate from others.
This is also usually the anime, depending on episode count and following airing seasons, that then may get paused for a while
I've "paused" watching very long shows purposefully and then picked them back up a few months later.
But if i actually dropped a show, i never went back to it. If i check my list of "dropped" anime on MAL/Anilist...i ain't watching none of that ever again.
Undead unluck. I thought it was crap from the first episode.... Forgot about it and later came back.
Holy shit I've never been so wrong in my life.
It's not a "drop it because I don't like it" situation, but I've been doing it with Gintama over the past 2~ years. Because of the format of the show, if anything else comes up that I want to watch I can easily put it on pause for however long and then come back to continue.
I watched a few episodes as it was airing, stopped watching, and then randomly saved the remaining episodes on my tablet to watch while I was in Japan.
Excellent show.
* K-On - Loved the show loved the music
* Gakkou Gurashi - Only thing I hate is how hard it is to recommend it
* Flying Witch - A great comfort anime
* Psycho-Pass S1 - Great first season torn on whether I should watch past that point
* Fresh Precure - My favorite Precure Season
* Steins Gate - Came back for the rewatch and I enjoyed every bit of it (SG0 was weaker but still mostly enjoyable barring one particular episode)
Monster is another one that I dropped at around 30 eps. Went back and finished it and loved it too.
This definitely happens more so with TV shows for me. Plenty of good shows where I've loved the first or multiple seasons, but can't start the latest due to needing to be in the mood.
