Does this trailer allude to any future events or is it only limited to episode 1?

Seems to have stuff from future episodes on top of some scenes from episode 1.

Ohk I'll avoid it then

This seems to be off to a fantastic start.

Huh from the title I wouldn't have expected such a melachonic vibe, is the whole source material like that?

Expected a cheesy death game show, got Nier directed by the guy who did Days With My Stepsister. Phenomenal first episode.

>the guy who did Days With My Stepsister
Ohhh, that's why it was so slow.

I rarely watch a show purely because of the director. But I enjoyed the direction, vibe and art style of Days with my Stepsister so much that I'm willing to give this a shot

I haven't yet watched the anime, but I briefly skimmed through episode 1. It looks like a really interesting anime, if nothing else. I'm considering watching the show if I hear it being really good.
Either way, I'm just glad that directors are still willing to take risks and make something unconventional. The alternative way to adapt this, a very gory (or should I say fluffy) B-movie-esque edgy anime, would have relegated this to the pile of every seasonal edgy anime ever, and removed all of the appeal.

Is it even death games anymore when the gamers are playing it as a 9-5 job? Expecting some lame ass survival games I guess.
Apprehensive_Bus33012026-01-09 06:26
The story is not just about death game itself, but the society... the survival rates is about 70% stated by yuuki, that because if the game too hard for survivor, they will run out of people quickly... there is chance if people in that world manipulating something in order for game like this can happen.
And the game itself if you think critically, is good if you imagine yourself in their situation

We'll see how they go about doing the premise when the whole thing's out.
