Anime newbie looking for some classics!
Hey guys, I’m really into classic anime like Sailor Moon, Saint Seiya and Dragon Ball. I don’t know if you know it, but Tenchi Muyo was awesome too. I kinda feel lost in the anime world now because everything seems so different from the ones I love. Can you recommend some anime with the same vibe?

Koutetsujou no Kabaneri

Outlaw Star
Uchuu Senkan Yamato 2199
JoJo's Bizarre Adventure
1. It has very high production values in between the music, art quality, and fluidity of animation.
2. The writing is good. There's character development. There's maturity. But most importantly, very tasteful and hilarious comic relief.
3. It is understandably popular, with the harshest critics being people who wanted to see more expressive faces (characters are particularly deadpan during non-comical scenes) and action density (lots of conversations with village elders).
That said, I don't care much for words like "classics" and "vibe". I encourage you to be open minded to more recent adaptations (even if most are cheap and immature).
By the way, the first 4 episodes of Frieren are a prologue largely absent of comic relief, so if you consider dropping it, make sure to watch episodes 5, 6, and 13 before dropping (no need to skip if you feel comfortable, of course). The punchlines do not disappoint.
I'd also recommend "Apothecary Diaries", another very low hanging fruit. Mystery/Thriller.
I hope that the high production values are enough to entice you to watch (it's a fairly good heuristic!), but best of luck in finding what you desire.
Edit: Many (but not all) Frieren fans are very pretentious and defensive (very "greater than though" if you catch my drift). They seem to think it is the deepest thing ever. It's a great jack of all trades. Action, drama, comedy, etc. I love Frieren (and "Dungeon Meshi" for similar reasons).

Dominion Tank Police and New Dominion Tank Police
Dirty Pair

Kamigure Orange Road
Urusei Yatsura
That’s just a few.
Sumari Champloo, Cowboy BeBop, Trigun, FLCL, Neon Genesis Evangelion (+ End of Evangelion movie after) & Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood are must watch classics. Akira, Ninja Scroll, Hayao Miyazaki & Satoshi Kon movies, too.
Berserk (1997) is a must watch - it's pretty heavy, just a warning.
New(er) classics: Attack on Titan, Vinland Saga, Golden Kamuy, Kill la Kill, Dungeon Meshi, Dandadan.
Edited for spelling
As for stuff you haven't mentioned...
Hana-Kimi is new this season, but is an adaptation of a classic manga so it still has that feel to it. In a similar vein, there's Ouran High School Host Club which is an older anime but very very classic. They're of a genre that's pretty well-tread these days but always delightful.
Macross Plus, Cowboy Bebop, and Vision of Escaflowne are all around the same age, all classics, and all with soundtracks by Yoko Kanno.
Urusei Yatsura, Ranma 1/2, and Inuyasha are three very different shows but one thing they have in common is they were created by the same woman, Rumiko Takahashi.
You'll probably be recommended a fantasy series or ten, and if you wonder why all Japanese elves (and dark elves) look the way they do you should check out the anime that codified all the tropes: Record of Lodoss War.
.hack/Sign is the first really big anime about virtual reality games (and being trapped therein). Noir is a classic girls with guns series. Both have music that will stick with you for the rest of your life thanks to Yuki Kajiura and SeeSaw.
Code Geass has one of the best magnificent bastards in Lelouch. The character designs were done by Clamp, who are behind Cardcaptor Sakura, Magic Knight Rayearth, Chobits, Angelic Layer, xxxHolic, etc etc etc.
For any of these you can find a lot of connection points to other classic anime. Hope this helps you find your next favorites.
it's a classic anime about boxing
Witch Hunter Robin
Hellsing
Elfen LIed
Gantz
(Space Opera, Romance, Sci-Fi).
Very OG Star Wars esque with the epic space battles and melodramatic character drama.
2. Great Teacher Onizuka
(School slice of life, comedy, drama)
This one is abit rough around the edges for newbies. Its raunchy and has classic "anime" comedy.
Power Stone also had a really fun anime. It was a Dreamcast 4-player fighting game with power ups. Viewtiful Joe's anime was pretty rough, but that's another option.

Monster is amazing
Shinsekai Yori
Also, anything directed by Kazuhiro Furuhashi are worth watching.
Dragonball: One Punch Man Season 1. Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood. Toriyama did some Jump specials as well you can look up like Savings Warrior Cashman. Trigun.
Sailor Moon: Cardcaptor Sakura. Maybe Madoka if you can get to episode 3.
Tenchi Muyo: Ranma 1/2, Inuyasha, Outlaw Star
It seems you like comedy and shonen action genres as well as ensemble comedies is my logic. Try these out.

Black Lagoon is amazing, twisted, and charming.
Code Geass is obviously one of the goats for a reason.
Claymore has a bit of a pacing problem but quickly became a favorite of mine.
Samurai champloo and also Afro samurai. Both are awesome fighting anime’s.

There was also Tenchi universe and Tenchi in Tokyo.
