I need an anime that will make me cry
The only sad anime I watched are a silent voice, your name, I want to eat your pancreas and plastic memories, none made me sad.
The last time I almost cried for an anime character it wasn't even a romance, it was a shonen anime.
So do you guys know any anime that can actually make me feel sad?

after that you could watch angel beats and grave of the fireflies
I would also put "Angel Beats" on that list of emotional animes, but it feels like OP is kinda missing the point that these anime and others are only as sad as you are willing to emotionally invest yourself into, so if you go into them with "im never gonna cry to them" you might not cause you are just turning on your emotional barriers.
I was gonna say that its like saying Naruto has the best fights but then i noticed your username and wasnt surprised.
Violet evergarden was a great anime but compared to some of the big ones that are truly meant to hit you emotionally in a way that only works once it wasnt at all the same ballpark.
If none of those made you sad or cry, I think you are asking the wrong question.
Just go watch any other shonen.
I don't think a movie is gonna do it for you. Probably too short of a format.
I feel like you need hundreds of episodes getting invested in a character, and then having them die might be your only option.

And if it was the Hunter x Hunter 2011 arc with the Ant King & the Komugi**,** I get it, that arc was a roller-coaster in the best of ways.
"Dr. Stone"
The premise is that all of humanity is petrified and then all of civilization collapses setting earth back to the stone age.
The characters have to rebuild civilization from scratch using science. Starting with stone tools then working their way up they use real world science and even explains it in an easier to understand way.
"Dr. Stone" is mostly comedy with some action/adventure.
Without spoilers; there are a lot of sad parts in this anime.
Most notably, the relationship between two of the characters.
It has 4 seasons.
1st season: 24 episodes
2nd season: 11 episodes
3rd season: 22 episodes
4th season: 24 episodes+ part 3 coming in april2026
There are many parts that the fandom admits to crying at in each season including myself(and I hardly ever cry at anything)
Season 1 defiantly has some, but I think season 4 is the one that broke the fandom almost completely.
Season 4 episode 9 is really emotional, but the last 2 episodes of part 2 (season 4 episodes 22/23) really crushed all of us.
If you do decide to watch it, I hope you enjoy it 10 billion percent.
Girls' Last Tour
