How do you guys watch anime?
This is not a question on where you watch it, I know enough about that.
I used to watch a lot of anime but ever since I started reading the LN/Manga after I finished the 12 episodes, I now keep wondering. Why ever bother watching it if I can just read the source material which is usually praised better.
I dont have this issue with animes that are either 24 eps a season or just have already way more content. But watching 12 ep seasons is just really difficult for me now.
Anyone else has this?

For 12 episode shows I just treat them as chill bonus content, if the music, voices and direction feel good I watch it for vibes and let the manga or LN be the serious version.
It helps that I have the corner desk in an office, so I can watch on my monitor without people bothering me about it. I skip past or avoid fan-service anyway 'cause it's cringe.
Sometimes I'll read a horror manga instead, but I've never been much of a fiction reader so I don't really go for LNs.
Seasonal anime doesn't bother me even if it's never fully adapted. Plus I like the voices which adds a lot.
I watch anime. I don't really read manga. I've read a few light novels - though I used to love reading.
I consume media I enjoy in the formats I enjoy them.
I just watch it. For stories I wanted to know more I never really got into the reading part. I save reading for work.
I might watch an anime and then pick up where I left off with the manga if I find the story particularly interesting and it's never going to get more than 12 episodes anyway because the people who decide what gets made are philistines. I won't triple dip with anime and manga and LN; that seems insufferable.
When I read, it's books.
I almost mentally checked out of anime at age 13 after Naruto's cannon part one ended and then almost 100 episodes of filler started. Just for part two to never air in my country.
I read a lot of manga but it's an in tandem kind of hobby for certain series. Some manga don't and never will get an anime.
