Favourites are Horimiya, My Dressup Darling (haven’t watched s2 due to reviews), blue box and pet girl sakurakaso, i’ve watched a lot and i know most the mainstream ones

Watch season 2
Sea_Minute98402026-01-08 10:47
haha fuc you
Hug_all_the_Krabbys2026-01-08 11:37
The real trick is to watch season two, Google where the anime leaves off, then finish the manga from that point on. That's what I did and was very satisfied.
Sea_Minute98402026-01-08 11:55
okay thank you i’ll have to do that
Hug_all_the_Krabbys2026-01-08 11:56
Happy to help. :)
Sea_Minute98402026-01-09 10:36
season 2 was fantastic, i really have to stop listening to others, the manga ending was great too, thank you, now i have another romance hole in my heart
Hug_all_the_Krabbys2026-01-10 15:20
I'm glad you liked it. Such is the sweet suffering we romance anime viewers must endure for our passion.
Throwaway9193192026-01-08 10:44
Clannad + After Story will forever be my #1 series.
These are all great though:
Toradora - Absolute classic. A must watch for any anime fan frankly
Steins;Gate - There's no question it's one of the greatest series of all time. Romance isn't the primary selling point of the series, but it's prevalent through the series
Golden Time - One of the few based on older characters (college+). Special show that I'll always hold in high regard
Dangers in my Heart - Highly regarded series for good reason. Does many things very well, and is an enjoyable watch throughout
Rascal Does Not Dream series - S1, and the first film in particular, are phenomenal.
I Want to Eat your Pancreas - Probably my second favourite romance film.
Don't Toy With Me, Miss Nagatoro - Rough initial couple of episodes, and I dropped it initially before giving it another go, but it develops into one of the sweetest romcoms I've seen.

Just gonna piggyback real quick with my harebrained opinion. Dangers in My Heart sub good. Dangers in My Heart dub bad. When someone says they dropped it, I assume they either didn't get past the first 2 episodes (which is rough to be fair) or they watched the dub. Or both.

Banger suggestions, I’ll throw in: school rumble, full metal panic (it counts), fruits basket, Kimi ni todoke, and grand blue!
LordxGrim862026-01-08 10:47
Il'l try to list some less common ones...
Fuuka
Golden TIme
Sounds of Life

Sea_Minute98402026-01-08 11:24
i actually never watched the last season, was it worth watching
Fennezu2026-01-08 11:31
If you liked the first two, then absolutely. The third season is the best of them all.
Also can I ask what makes you turn away from Dress-Up Darling s2? I thought it was great, even better than s1. Or is it the relationship progression?
Sea_Minute98402026-01-08 11:57
i’ve heard a lot about the progression, b it somebody recommended watch it then read the end of manga so i’ll do that to satisfy me
ActualRound76992026-01-08 12:37
I mean, watch season two. who gives a shit what reviewers say. It was a great season.
_BMS2026-01-08 12:51
Maison Ikkoku
IStealSwords2026-01-08 13:47
Still one of my favorites. IMHO the best Takahashi did
_BMS2026-01-08 14:35
I really hope that, if Takahashi somehow has the energy to do another series after Mao, she does another grounded romance-drama seinen like Maison Ikkoku.
