Why was Letters from Hibakusha removed on youtube?
I added these videos to a playlist a long time ago and finally remembered the playlist. All the videos are unavailable. I remember the episodes were published by NHK or something like that.
The series revolved around stories taking place around WW2. For example, one episode was about a mom birthing her child in wartime. She was surrounded by a few women.
The child was thought to be stillborn at first, but one of the ladies held the child upside down and lightly hit it. It cried.
Two other episodes I remember:
One had some kid in a uniform search for someone i think. There was a lot of rubble.
Might’ve had something to do with the missing persons clothing being in rubble.
2. There were two girls who were part of some sort of drafting thing (engineering) for the military? One of the girls had some eye strain at one point. She couldn’t get leave until some nicer guy approved it.
At one point, there was a bright light and I think the second girl had a hankerchief. She ended up dying, but the other girl lived

We don't know what happens on the back end of things. The logical thing I could think of, is maybe NHK's license/permissions has run out and they weren't able renew it or chose not to continue to keep it.
Sorry you can't watch it anymore, it really sucks if you really enjoy that series. Hopefully it'll pop up somewhere else later.
I only ever had a region issue with one thing, and that was some To Be Hero X playlist. From the official studio channel thingy. Some playlist for episodes free every Sunday? or something like that, was restricted to SEA i think
