Spice and wolf help
Yo. I just finished the first season of the new reboot of the new spice and wolf series. It was goddamn peak.
Now I'm sad. No season 2 yet. And I'm not about to read the novels. Just cuz there's a confirmed season 2 already. So to stay happy. I need to know something.
If I watch the old 2000's anime with the ova's and (I think there might be a movie. Not too sure, just saw some stuff that wasn't connected to a TV series.) Movies.
I want to know of I will be spoiled. I'm not going to rewatch sceans that uve already watched in the reboot. But I also want to know if I'm missing out on stuff the reboot hasn't added yet.
Finally. If I am missing out on stuff. What is your opinion? Should I wait for season 2 of reboot. Or should I watch the old show with stuff that isn't yet in the reboot.
Please help.✌️

Just go read the novels bro. They’re fucking peak. Nothing else is going to satisfy you; we’re in for a wait until Season2 comes along and that’s still not going to cover the entire series.
In short, you won't miss anything by skipping the older adaptation.
The latter half of the second season does covers material not covered in the new anime yet, but also skips an entire arc that was covered, merging important elements of it into what they covered. It's only about one arc ahead of the reboot. It's likely to be covered slightly differently if do you want to watch it.
They brought back the main voice actors for the remake so voice performances for both are amazing especially for the English dub.
I have heard people are abit harder on the 24 Japanese version. It is the og actress for holo in that but her voice has drastically changed over the years.
The English va sound just as good as they did back in 2008.
Also if you’re getting into the Light Novels I highly recommend the audio book version on audible.
It’s narrated by the English va’s of Lawrence and Holo
