This-is_CMGRI2026-01-08 17:22

KaiHavertzhatewatch2026-01-08 17:22
Yes I know Ushio has always been popular because of Devilman but im glad he's getting his flowers after this track went viral
WWTFSD2026-01-08 17:45
I would argue it’s been since Ping-Pong tbh.
(Please watch Ping-Pong)
StanleyBaccano2026-01-08 18:03
Furthermore, please watch Heike Monogatari
RPO7772026-01-08 18:59
Heike Monogatari is one of the most criminally underwatched anime of the past five years. Alongside Dandadan, it's probably my favorite from Science Saru.
The music in this scene (Ushio's "Purple Clouds") is haunting and beautiful.
That OST is something else. Compiled with visuals it hits different.
Tim_Rocket2026-01-08 18:26
and also A silent voice! (Tho that’s because that’s when I found him out and started watching other works that involve his music, it’s so beautiful bro)
snowflakess_2026-01-08 19:17
I absolutely fell in love with his muted piano in A silent voice
Tim_Rocket2026-01-08 19:38
Same! Also there’s just something so intimate about hearing the pressing of the piano keys and the pedals. I love it when he includes that occasionally.
Hero_Kenzan2026-01-08 21:18
Best music he has done imo.
WWTFSD2026-01-08 21:32
What a completely reasonable, fair, and unbiased response /u/Hero_Kenzan
(I agree)
NeptuneOW2026-01-08 19:11
Also, he did Dandadan and did a unbelievable job
Alepex2026-01-08 19:53
His ost for Liz and the blue bird is recorded at least partly by having the microphone inside the piano. And then there are the ambient sounds of footsteps, wind etc. Absolutely insane to listen to with proper headphones. He's a genius
Deruta2026-01-08 22:09
About 30 seconds into _Liz and the Blue Bird_ I had to get headphones and crank the volume just for the ambient sound, then it hit me with the best recorded live instruments I’ve ever heard in film.
The last clarinet solo gave me goosebumps not just because of the _incredible_ performance, but from the almost-imperceptible hisses of extra air through the open keys, the buzz of the instrument’s material vibrating so subtly that it’s felt more than heard, the way the performer’s each breath carries through to make the song into a living thing. To anyone that doesn’t play an instrument, hearing those scenes through quality headphones (with good bass) is the closest you can come to how it feels irl.
But none of those are the sound that made me have to pause the movie to collect myself. That one tiny _gasp_ (you know the one) literally made me do the same thing in response lol
AscendedViking72026-01-08 17:36
It's sounds so magestic ;'b

TarkanV2026-01-08 18:51
Am I the only one who feels like it sounds eerily similar to Westworld's opening credits? I genuinely thought for a moment it was a remix of that track...
This-is_CMGRI2026-01-08 19:18
Kind of, yeah, I see the vision.
AAAAAND now I want to see Ramin Djawadi score an anime. Expensive as fuck but honestly if he loves the material he'd be up for it. Sunrise or TRIGGER can gun for him on a mecha project.
> Westworld
Another idea: *Shonenworld* as a satirical take on everything Weekly Shonen Jump. Every title is its own artificial world, and the audience have an immersive experience. Some titles some play it straight but know they're merely a program, some aren't.
Its opposite, *Super Robot World* has everybody know each other and you really are just playing an RPG LARP thing, but stay long enough and they confide to you about their hangups once the cameras stop rolling.
Mexican-Midget2026-01-08 20:21

This scene is my favorite from the whole movie, Denji for the first time isnt worried about boobs or sex, he is just Innocent in this moment.
Also apparentlly the sybolism from the spider and the monarch, the monarch butterfly acually has posion that will kill the spider, so its a tragedy in that both die
fubozo2026-01-08 17:21
yet if theres a scene where she gets her tits out 1000% you will see it posted here

TopConcept5702026-01-08 17:35
I didnt get it at first until I watched a video on it, its not easy to see that the spider dies as well
Cautionzombie2026-01-08 17:42
Unless you know it’s a monarch and that monarchs are poisonous no. That’s half the context missing
Icapica2026-01-08 17:45
Most viewers didn't seem to notice that the spider also died. They only saw it as a spider catching a butterfly, which obviously would be symbolic too but in a different way.
If you happen to know monarchs are poisonous. And ivd even heard they arent poisonus enough to kill that kindof spider just make it sick. But thats just something I heard.
ImN0tAsian2026-01-08 17:53
Yea that's what the last frame depicts. CSM is such a neat story. So glad they are keeping it animated. Been wanting to talk about the manga for years
Aelyph2026-01-08 19:57
Initially Reze is the spider capturing the butterfly, but Denji ends up flipping their roles near the end of the movie.
Kryse-7772026-01-09 02:07
someone said denji is the spider here capturing the butterfly, wrapping it with web, alluding that reze was the one that fell for him instead. now lets recall what denji does at the end of their final fight.
TMNAW2026-01-08 21:02
The spider symbolism is also just that, as we learn throughout the movie, there really was no such trap or web being set by Reze in the first place, or at least not in the sense we first believe. \[Chainsaw Man Reze Movie\] >!Reze is tasked with taking the Chainsaw heart and returning to the USSR, which she could have easily done at any point, like when they first meet. The pool scene, and many such other romantic scenes between Denji and Reze, is the latter indulging in her fantasy of being a normal high-school girl and enjoying her first love. If Reze has an underlying agenda at all during this scene, it would be as set up for her later proposition to Denji to run away from their respective countries and try to live a normal, country mouse life together. But in the end, they both remain as children and pawns being used and exploited by their respective governments for their own ends with both Denji and Reze trapped in those webs !<

Such an uncanny valley trigger. It looks so weird, like if they didn't draw eyes on a face.
Jauretche2026-01-08 22:54
It's the same way in the manga. I think it looked fine in CSM, kinda went well with the style and it was subtle.
Hated how they done it in Ranma 1/2 though.
youravgindian2026-01-09 10:31
I don't understand how nipples look good in one art style and not in the other. I am not an artist, though, so don't judge me. Personally, I don't like censoring even a little bit. Just draw the nipples, what are you hiding? That boobs have nipples on them? Just like a guy's chest have nipples? My only gripe with csm manga and the anime. It's just so random and uncanny.
NeutralBoss2026-01-09 13:01
Japanese censorship is very weird bro. Look at Attack on titan S1-3 the men have no ripples in the anime.
MakimaGOAT2026-01-09 06:51
i find it so weird how boobs are fine but nipples is where they draw the line
rooster_butt2026-01-09 08:00
The problem is they aren't drawing the lines!
MumrikDK2026-01-09 18:39
It's the difference between unlimited cleavage and admitting its a breast.
Prize_Cheetah8952026-01-08 20:05
That censorship was dumb. It they didn't want to show nudity then they should have given her bikini. But removing part of human body is really weird. She looked like she didn't have any boobs at all, just flat chest with no nipples.
Araragi2026-01-08 20:48
Unsurprised, as the [manga had no nipples](https://www.reddit.com/r/Chainsawfolk/comments/1lrfoyn/do_you_think_the_movie_will_be_censored_or/). We did get [this](https://www.reddit.com/r/animeplot/comments/1pko1bg/nipples_chainsaw_man_the_movie_reze_arc/) scene, though in the movie (nsfw obviously)
Commercial-Map2242026-01-08 23:21
‘Just give her a bikini’ dawg you can not be serious. obviously it would be more realistic and maybe better if she had nipples in the scene but who really cares, it’s just censorship, you aren’t allowed to do that. And since both of them being naked is important to the scene and film as a whole, what we got is the best it could’ve been and it was spectacular, don’t complain over such semantical factors, especially when your solution is to give her a bikini, thus tarnishing the scene.
inf3ct3dn0n4m32026-01-09 01:24

TheBatemanFlex2026-01-08 17:19
Is there a reason why they don't draw nipples? Like a audience-rating or censorship reason? I honestly can't remember how it was drawn in the manga.
ProgrammerUnlucky5662026-01-08 17:21
There was no nipples in the manga
TheBatemanFlex2026-01-08 17:42
Yeah I ended up just looking at my copy. Thanks! Really I just find it interesting to be intent on portraying them fully nude in panel but have reservations about anatomy. To me a mangaka's principles around the subject would be more all or nothing. You either don't consider your work sexualization or you do.
connectedToo2026-01-08 17:58
They didn't show her nips in the Manga cause you can't have nudity in the shonen jump magazine (not anymore). They could have uncensored it for the movie but I guess they chose not to
TheBatemanFlex2026-01-08 18:04
thank you, I didn't know that.
IbizenThoth2026-01-08 18:10
I'm pretty sure it's just a choice to distract less from the innocence of the scene and focus on them being kids together.
Could be bc it's a Jump series, but I don't know how it shakes out with this being a Jump+ series which is supposed to have more freedom.
I remember there was no compunction about nipples in the monthly Shonen Jump mag since I was so taken aback by it when they popped out in Rosario + Vampire back in the day.
connectedToo2026-01-08 18:17
These chapters were published in weekly shonen jump. Chainsaw man wasn't switched to jump+ until well after the reze arc.
IbizenThoth2026-01-08 18:19
oh, TIL! was it after part 1 finished?
connectedToo2026-01-08 18:33
yep, part 2 marked the switch to jump+
for those interested, the issue containing this scene is [shonen jump 2019 no. 46](https://comicvine.gamespot.com/weekly-shonen-jump-2527-no-46-2019/4000-722612/)
TheLantean2026-01-08 19:22
For an in-universe excuse, consider that this takes place at night with only the moon and indirect city glow to light the scene, so the characters wouldn't see any bits anyway. *We*'re seeing clear line art because that's how anime and manga works, so deliberately not drawing some details actually adds to the realism. *Art!*

Yeah, probably the fact that the characters are 16 year olds and this is how they were illustrated in the manga
KingOfCuteAndFunny2026-01-08 17:48
Bro has never seen end of evangelion if he thinks age is a factor in that decision lmao.
Massive_Weiner2026-01-08 17:49
I’m almost certain that Reze is in her 20s, if not even older than that. Hybrids don’t age normally.
chum-guzzling-shark2026-01-08 18:01
she's technically 1000 years old so its ok!
Massive_Weiner2026-01-08 18:02
If anyone would agree to being groomed, it would be Denji.
chum-guzzling-shark2026-01-08 18:04
Not really. If grooming means being used then he clearly passed on that with Himeno. My boy is starving for love
Massive_Weiner2026-01-08 18:07
He passed on Himeno because of Makima, a woman who started grooming him first, lmao!
chum-guzzling-shark2026-01-08 18:09
but he didnt know he was being groomed!
captainAwesomePants2026-01-08 17:39
Probably artistic choice. For Denji, thinking about boobs is practically a defining character trait. Not emphasising then, having him not even glance at them, makes this scene notably nonsexual, like the nonsexyness of it is part of the point. They flirt with the idea with her line, "I'm gonna teach you how to do all the things," which we hear as sexual, but it was about swimming because the scene is innocent.
chum-guzzling-shark2026-01-08 17:58
I agree and I'm jealous of your ability to express your thoughts. I wrote the same opinion and it sounded like a caveman trying to explain shakespeare. I deleted it and read yours and was like "yeah thats what i meant"
PikaBooSquirrel2026-01-08 23:07
That's interesting. I never interpreted "I'll teach you all the things you don't know. I'll teach you everything" as sexual. Before we learn that she's just as inexperienced at life (probably in different facets to Denji, as she was taught how to swim), I thought it was a general statement.
Bored_Amalgamation2026-01-09 04:54
from an artistic standpoint, nipples would draw away from the main message which is "these characters are making themselves vulnerable to eachother". Nipples also add a sexual aspect, which isn't really the theme here. It's sensuality.
SkaterDC2026-01-08 17:19
Anime only. 5 times I went to see this on the big screen and listen to it on that sound system.
5 times it broke me.
Just for a moment, these two were normal teenagers living a normal life. No powers, no manipulation, no fighting, no killing. Just a snapshot of what could have been. It still hurts
_Pyxyty2026-01-08 17:32
Huh. Interesting, cause I always figured while that noment of innocence was the case for Denji, I thought Reze was still well within her manipulative tactics here. Especially because [CSM Movie] >!I thought the way that the whole school sequence was arranged (showing this scene, then the scene where she flips her switch and kills the mercenary, then flips her switch again and goes back to being regular cute Reze when she comes back to the classroom) was done with the intent of showing that she was just doing her job perfectly to seduce and/or befriend her target!<.
the_elder_troll2026-01-08 17:44
maybe she was, but at the same time she was also letting herself be vulnerable to denji in a way since she would not be able to use her powers in the pool
Massive_Weiner2026-01-08 18:05
Why wouldn’t she be? Denji isn’t going to suddenly start fighting her, so what vulnerability is she expressing? She’s in complete control of the situation.
Also, she would be able to create a depth charge underwater. So you can still create explosions in that setting, especially if you are the fuse.
cyberjet2026-01-08 18:33
The way it’s implied, Reze can’t make explosions underwater but that’s an implication not a concrete thing.
That said considering her job is to kill her target she’s doing an awful job of it in the school. Has her target isolated in an environment where no one is around and then later on acquires the tornado devil who further confirms they are isolating their target. This should be the place to kill her target and yet she decides to postpone it for a second date in a crowded and widely used area.
I’d say she’s vulnerable, I mean really this is all very extra otherwise.
ytsejamajesty2026-01-08 18:34
[Chainsaw Man Movie]>!In the final battle, Denji drags her down into the ocean with her, and implies that she won't be able to use her power while in the water!<
I feel like the vulnerability is more apparent in hindsight. At the time, Reze is perhaps just manipulating Denji, but she later implies [Chainsaw Man Movie]>!she would rather Denji join her willingly, and not fight him. And, at the end she is actually in love with him.!< If none of that happened, then I think it would be fair to read this scene as pure manipulation.
Massive_Weiner2026-01-08 17:47
Exactly. Reze is manipulating Denji the entire movie, which makes it odd when it suddenly turns out that she *did* develop feelings for him.
The one genuine thing that they bonded over was never going to school, so I read it as Reze not really loving Denji, but idealizing what he represents in her mind (the potential for normality). The same way that Denji doesn’t really love Reze—as he doesn’t even know the real her—but what she represents (transition into adulthood).
It’s basically two people dancing in the dark, unable to see each other.
SkaterDC2026-01-08 17:48
I think that’s a fine interpretation honestly.
The way I saw it, [CSM movie spoilers] >!it was the moment she fell for him. Similar to how Denji said that if he jumped in, so would his heart. It was a dream, an escape, a little piece of the normal life she never got to have. Then when the serial killer showed up, she got snapped back to reality-to her mission, the state of the world, and what she was sent here to do. The fact that she can’t have a normal life. It’s a wake up call. At least I think of it that way!<
LaverniusTucker2026-01-08 18:10
[CSM Movie] >!She was never meant to befriend him or seduce him. Near the end of the movie we hear her internal monologue and she doesn't know why she didn't just attack when she first met him, implying that was her original mission. That doesn't mean everything she did was genuine, she was still using manipulation tactics she was trained to use, but it was entirely by her own choice. And at that point I would argue it's as genuine as any interaction. Everybody puts on a front and tries to be liked by a person they like, she's just been trained on how to do it very effectively.!<.
CraftedLove2026-01-08 19:08
Agreed. Also, I'd understand if this was from reading the manga but hoooly, this is already the movie. The cinematography, editing, soundtrack etc is spoonfeeding the details of the story and people will still misinterpret it lol.
tyrann132026-01-08 20:30
In her first meeting, she has one hand on her activator and the other in her back pocket where we know she keeps her knife. She was going to kill then and there in the phone booth, but hesitated seeing his face.
sombrerosunshine2026-01-09 01:26
I keep seeing people say her hand was at her back pocket but really we never see that. Her hand WAS on her neck though
theBarnDawg2026-01-08 18:19
Dead spider shows metaphorically that she thinks she’s in control, full web, trap, prey in her power, then she succumbs as well.
kosanovskiy2026-01-08 19:54
She definitely was, that's what was the whole transition to the butterfly being captured in the spiders web is saying.
joystick3552026-01-08 18:24
Absolutley wrong interpretation. She manipulizes him here too. No innocence here on her side

> Just for a moment, these two were normal teenagers living a normal life. No powers, no manipulation, no fighting, no killing. Just a snapshot of what could have been. It still hurts
And most interstingly to me: No sexual tension. Denji, who spends most of the story chasing boobs, is finally in the pool with a nude girl who likes him and yet the more the scene goes on and the less it's about sex.

Improve your bait game mate it's the one time in CSM where nudity has narrative significance beyond reminding the audience of how broken the main character is.

this movie was amazing i just love the symbolism with the spider and butterfly
Meme_Master_Dude2026-01-08 17:28
Wait is this the actual scene? Fucking finally, I had to watch the censored version
RelativeMundane90452026-01-08 17:34
Really? What is there to censor? They're already barbie dolls.
TMNAW2026-01-08 20:50
In certain countries, they skipped the scene entirely.
RelativeMundane90452026-01-08 22:44
No... those poor viewers :(
Meme_Master_Dude2026-01-08 23:28
The entire scene was reduced to like 30 seconds, didn't even get to hear the song laying in the background
gamebond892026-01-08 17:32
Incredible scene. Favourite part of the movie. Will forever be a memorable one thanks to the music, direction and of course Reze!
shoony432026-01-08 17:36
I remember thinking wtf where are my action scenes?!?
Then this scene happened and I realized I was being ambushed with a classic. My dumb Shonen brain couldn't comprehend it initially.
Award worthy stuff here. 👏
Thelegend222026-01-08 18:05
First half of the movie is peak romance and damn does it hit
onedestiny2026-01-08 17:45
Wish they gave her more of a backstory .. literally the main character besides chainsaw homie and we only find out a tiny tiny bit about her at the end 😭😭 otherwise movie was amazing
ForlornMemory2026-01-08 17:47
I hate that modern women don't have nipples anymore.
Mage_of_Shadows2026-01-08 17:49
A lot of talk about the barbie doll anatomy here and I find it ironic that Denji straight up says “It’s my first time seeing nipples” right before this scene
xkuclone22026-01-08 17:50
This scene wasn’t that impactful in the manga and was only 2 pages. I didn’t think much of it, but MAPPA cooked this scene and it made me sad knowing what happens later as a manga reader. It also shows that Reze truly liked Denji because she can’t use her powers in the water, but still chose to go in the pool with him.
patap0nacct2026-01-09 05:40
> This scene wasn’t that impactful in the manga and was only 2 pages.
To me it was the opposite, it's just so jarringly romantic and "vanilla" ecchi and in-between the batshit insanity that it sticks out.
DaRootbear2026-01-09 14:26
Honestly it is one of the best examples of how anime should expand scenes to increase run time compared to a manga and why a 1-to-1 translation is not usually the way to go.
I barely remembered the scene from when i read, but was blown away by it in the movie
Shadow_Ass2026-01-08 17:53
Watching this for the first time in the theater was an amazing experience. The second time it was just mesmerizing and it felt like I didn't breathe throughout the whole scene. I liked it in the manga but they did an absolutely amazing job with the movie
MonsterKiller1122026-01-08 17:57
One of the best scenes in recent anime. The direction, the music, the atmosphere were all perfect. The director understood the intent of this scene and portrayed it perfectly. I hope Yoshihara continues for the next season as well. His adaptation of the Reze arc was perfect.
Lara_Rsl2026-01-08 18:01
Normally nudity is seen as something erotic or sexual. Especially in the internet age where eroticism is now commonplace. Here nudity takes the more traditional meaning of innocence and purity. They're not some teenagers who are madly in love and want to devour each other. No, they are pure. Because for a fleeting moment in this pool, they are free from the shackles holding them hostage. They both experience genuine human connection in a way that none of them have felt before. They are just dogs following their master's orders but in this moment where they sneaked off into a school at night might just be the most fun they ever had.

As an older guy, this really evoked a feeling of melancholy? Nostalgia? sadness remembering similar moments in my life that will never be replicated. Happiness the characters get to experience it. It really got me fucked up. I cant think of a scene that better represents young innocent love
ethanlan2026-01-08 20:34
Yeah im 37 and this really got me, such a sweet scene.

I don't know why but this was reminiscent of that music video Fantasy by DyE. Beatiful music to a cute pool scene that would soon devolve into craziness.
Parzival02_2026-01-08 18:13
New season came out??
BadBehaviour6132026-01-08 18:27
It boggles my mind how easy Chainsaw Man makes romance writings look. Watched a bunch of videos on Naruto's female characters last year, but here stands Chainsaw Man, making a girl a central character in its movie and romance its core plot. It's just one of the things Chainsaw Man does so well it looks ordinary
Shot-Maximum-2026-01-08 18:42
We will never get proper looking boobs anime like we saw in Plastic Little.
bladepa_2026-01-08 18:56
this scene will be marked forever in me

One of the Most Romantic scenes in Anime that put even Rom Coms to shame.
ethanlan2026-01-08 20:29
Im not the biggest anime fan (I enjoy a few but yeah) but this movie is one of my favorites
Any-Computer-40532026-01-08 21:18
Just an amazing detail here
The spider is supposed to represent Reze, how she is hunting Denji and the Chansaw Devil, when Denji jumps into the water, the spider catches the butterfly
But what not many people know is that the butterfly is poisonous, so after they finish playing, they show the spider dying to the butterfly's poison
In the end, they both fell in love with the other
Shantotto112026-01-09 04:32
Another detail: Fuse bombs can’t explode when wet or underwater. Water was Reze’s weakness, and Denji only figured that out much later. Yet, here she is enjoying a skinny-dipping session with Denji. She was completely open and vulnerable to him right near the start, even if it was for one night.
EvasionSnakeRequiem2026-01-08 21:22
It's crazy to think this scene hits different with added context, not once, but *two different times*.
First there's experiencing this blind for those who were only watching the anime. Witnessing this rare moment of joy but feeling something is off.
Second is experiencing this knowing how this whole arc plays out, knowing what is off.
*Third* is experiencing this after being caught up on CSM Part 2 and understanding what feels like the thematic layers below the subtext of the story. In spite of the undertones and potential ulterior motives we see in this scene...this is the first time in the story that we as the audience witness Denji *experience a happiness he himself chose.* For the moment, there is a pure, innocent ecstasy of a life changing, memorable blip in his life. And despite all that has happened, despite what might come...
...for just this one moment, happiness can be held tight and embraced. And that is, in itself, something beautiful yet so hard to describe about life.
Suffice to say, having this realization while watching this scene in the theater made me tear up. Saw a lot of movies last year but this will probably stick out as my favorite scene from a 2025 movie.

"Fuck You Tatsuki Fujimoto " Said so by Tatsuki Fujimoto.

This scene made me a bit depressed because i know i will never experience something like this =S
outsidebtw2026-01-09 06:49
man i can't watch this again
first time i did, i was on a reze trance all month i wanted to watch it again
then it came out on streaming and the trance got reduced to like 2-3 weeks but i keep spamming jane doe like 10x a day. i space them so i don't get tired but who knows when will that be
oh and im listening to it now lol, i know its not better cause listening to it increases the trance debuff (or buff?) and i lose focus on work for like 3-5mins (??? idk how to estimate that)

(Please watch Ping-Pong)
The music in this scene (Ushio's "Purple Clouds") is haunting and beautiful.

(I agree)
The last clarinet solo gave me goosebumps not just because of the _incredible_ performance, but from the almost-imperceptible hisses of extra air through the open keys, the buzz of the instrument’s material vibrating so subtly that it’s felt more than heard, the way the performer’s each breath carries through to make the song into a living thing. To anyone that doesn’t play an instrument, hearing those scenes through quality headphones (with good bass) is the closest you can come to how it feels irl.
But none of those are the sound that made me have to pause the movie to collect myself. That one tiny _gasp_ (you know the one) literally made me do the same thing in response lol
does he think he's Sawano or something?
Also apparentlly the sybolism from the spider and the monarch, the monarch butterfly acually has posion that will kill the spider, so its a tragedy in that both die
Glad someone mentioned this one. Really encapsulates the last moment of bliss before shit hits the fan.
This track is called "In the Pool"
Iris Out (OP) is not on the track list, but it has the rest of the soundtrack AFAIK.
Hated how they done it in Ranma 1/2 though.
Me: WHERE?!
Could be bc it's a Jump series, but I don't know how it shakes out with this being a Jump+ series which is supposed to have more freedom.
I remember there was no compunction about nipples in the monthly Shonen Jump mag since I was so taken aback by it when they popped out in Rosario + Vampire back in the day.
for those interested, the issue containing this scene is [shonen jump 2019 no. 46](https://comicvine.gamespot.com/weekly-shonen-jump-2527-no-46-2019/4000-722612/)
* It should be noted that unadapted material can still be considered a spoiler.

5 times it broke me.
Just for a moment, these two were normal teenagers living a normal life. No powers, no manipulation, no fighting, no killing. Just a snapshot of what could have been. It still hurts
Also, she would be able to create a depth charge underwater. So you can still create explosions in that setting, especially if you are the fuse.
At least I think of it that way!<
And most interstingly to me: No sexual tension. Denji, who spends most of the story chasing boobs, is finally in the pool with a nude girl who likes him and yet the more the scene goes on and the less it's about sex.
Then this scene happened and I realized I was being ambushed with a classic. My dumb Shonen brain couldn't comprehend it initially.
