What are good animes for new anime watchers

So far I watched chainsaw man (I liked art style its very all over the place and chaotic so I watched it) and LOVED IT, just searching for something that gives me that feeling again, idk how to explain the feeling but yea, also idc abt sexual content as long as its not to the point where its weird if that makes sense. Also pochita :)

Uhh what genre do you like atm?

Professional_Duty5842026-01-08 19:27

I've said so far I've only watched chainsaw man so I guess like action

Nola1412026-01-08 19:30

I guess My Hero Academia fits this narrative, its action filled with friendship adventure so yeah try it from there give it a go.

Professional_Duty5842026-01-08 19:36

I've heard its good but fandom is weird.. I also heard it finished so I'll prolly start with that

Nola1412026-01-08 19:37

Haha fandom is only 20% of the anime but yeah it should be fine, good first three episodes too shouldve got you hooked

Professional_Duty5842026-01-08 19:48

Thx :)

If on the roll site then dandadan is similar. Most newbies I recommend the norm of attack on titan and demon slayer. If you want some less cliche answers and some less recommend stuff then madoka magica, asobi asobase, natsume book of friends, bungo stray dogs and Monster. Edit: I forgot about the Fate series my all time favorite.

Professional_Duty5842026-01-08 19:26

Thanks, will be checking em out when I have freetime :)

Touko_Sumi2026-01-08 19:18

Keijo

Mr-Dumbest2026-01-08 19:21

Mob Psycho 100 might have similar vibes in regards of chaotic action.

KeepCalm_BingeAnime2026-01-08 19:22

Have you tried Dandadan? It's a wild ride. Lots of humor mixed in with serious moments. Then when you have time for it, AOT.

If you need to cool down but still get that hype, Frieren, and Delicious in Dungeon are nice getaways. More fantasy and slice of life but still has amazing, if not entertaining, action.

Professional_Duty5842026-01-08 19:28

Thanks, I've heard a bit about dandadan and frieren, never heard about delicious in dungein before so i'll see when i have time

KeepCalm_BingeAnime2026-01-08 19:42

Delicious is on Netflix, not sure if Attack on Titan is, but that one should be on Crunchyroll at least.

Playest_42472026-01-09 00:46

The first episode is a little sketchy but it's one of my all-time favorites

Blaze_Hunk2026-01-08 19:23

Naruto, naruto Shippuden, solo leveling, demon slayer, demon school

Professional_Duty5842026-01-08 19:29

Thx <3

Sword Art Online and darling of the franxx.

WarD_ddy_082026-01-08 19:34

If u liked Chainsaw man, then u should definetely go for Jujutsu kaisen, it more or less has the same art style and the same splashy fights and things. The character developments are also good. The similarity they have is that they will just kill your favourite side characters just like that.

**Solo Leveling**

gosh i hate myself for recommending this, but as someone who generally doesn’t watch a lot of the “mainstream” actions shows, this one really had me binging the entire thing real fast. this might be my new go-to recommendation for people who are new and want something with action, good world building, and just an incredibly fun watch.

Professional_Duty5842026-01-08 19:57

Don't hate yourself just by telling some guy on the internet to watch something, that'd be pretty pretentious (big word woowww :O). Anyway I heard good things about it and doesn't look TOOOO long so might binge watch tonight

hydroxideeee2026-01-08 21:01

haha, i’m just mildly salty that Frieren lost to it for the Crunchyroll AOTY (before i watched Solo Leveling).

I just finished watching solo leveling, after putting it off for a while, and very much understand why it won over frieren. I might not quite agree, but it’s definitely much more approachable and appealing to more people. I really wanted to hate it, but find myself actually amazed by it in some ways.

Embarrassed-Bend66342026-01-08 19:54

Cyberpunk Edgerunners is amazing, it has 10 episodes and tells the complete story. Highly recommend.

RobinLeaves282026-01-08 23:04

Highly recommend Demon Slayer for anime beginners. The story is pretty straightforward, and the animation rocks
