For stuff like Death Note:
Psycho-Pass
Monster
Pluto
Code Geass
Boku dake ga Inai Machi
Bakuman (same creators, different genre but quite good)
Love Tyrant is a romcom with a death note like premise - the book is called Kiss Note note, and makes couples fall in love.

Code Geass is pretty fun in a similar way

Monster.

I suggest giving Psycho-Pass a try

The obvious comparison to *Death Note* is *Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion*. It is by far the most similar of any comparable show, with an unbelievably intelligent protagonist who does feel akin to Light in many ways, as well as similar aims, at least in scope and scale. I personally liked it quite a bit more than *Death Note* and found Lelouch a more compelling main character, although that's personal taste.
In terms of fantasy, *Secrets of the Silent Witch* is a newer series that is incredibly similar to *Frieren*. Both feature OP MCs and instead focus more on personal/emotional growth than powerscaling with compelling world-building. The magic system in both is also quite similar, striking a balance between hard and soft magic systems while presenting them as borderline scientific arts. Of those streaming right now, *Sentenced to be a Hero* had an excellent first episode—no certainty on whether the rest will be good.
Although it's nothing like any of the shows you provided, I'll also recommend *Baccano!* as always—just a top-notch show with incredible worldbuilding, character development, humor, and animation all in a single package. It is hard to stream though unfortunately.

For Death Note - either code geass or Moriarty the Patriot.
For a more character focused one like Frieren, Sword of the Demon hunter. The first episode is action heavy but the rest of the plot is far more character focused. It's a supernatural action show where the MC a demon hunter become a demon himself and the rest of series follow his journey afterwards jumping a bit in time but primarily focusing on 1800 Japan.

Sagrada Reset (just a little similar, but a hidden gem)
If you are a fan of Death Note, then Bakuman is also a must-watch. It's actually meta as it shows the story of the two mangaka of Death Note (with changed names).
Several-Pangolin31192026-01-08 21:11
Attack on Titan is also a disappointing, genocidal male power fantasy that completely falls apart towards the end.

sounds like you like really intellectualized combat. World Trigger is pretty good for that, but has a lot of filler that's skippable as well (that's why its being rebooted). Definitely 2nd psychopass as well.

Erased
Investigative, emotional, elite OST, MC has internal monologue like Light does

Do you want death Note with Giant robots try Code Geass
Do you want death Note but it's a rom-com kaguya-sama sama Love is War

Monster

The most obvious reccomnedarion to anyone who liked Death Note is Terror in Resonance, since it's basically the same concept.
Then, there's also Psycho-Pass and Code Geass, which lean more into action, but share a similar vibe to Death Note. If you enjiyed JJK, you'll like these shows.
Since you also enjoyed Frieren, I'd recommend Shoshimin: How to become Ordinary. Might be the closest thing to combining Death Note and Frieren into a single show.

Monster is a good one, it is a bit long if you can jive with that.
Demolitions752026-01-09 04:38
Tomodachi Game

Code Geass and pretty much nothing else. But if it doesn't have to be all that similar you can also try anime like Boku dake ga Inai Machi.

Like Frieren:
Seirei no Moribito
Dragon Quest: Dai no Daibouken 2020
Majo no Tabitabi
Fumetsu no Anata e
Ookami to Koushinryou
Kamisama no Inai Nichiyoubi
