Anime Featuring Female Characters with Scythes

Hey! I’m looking to do a matching cosplay with a friend and we wanted to do characters with scythes. Any recommendations for anime (or video games) with female characters who wield scythes? (Please also tell me the same of the character :D)

Hi DismalBranch667, it seems like you might be looking for new anime to watch!

The users of this subreddit came up with [a chart of anime recommendations for newcomers and veterans](https://i.redd.it/0w1v880jtq661.png) and [an awesome longer flowchart](https://i.redd.it/vdzlkodz19c71.png). Maybe you can find something there that you'll like \^.\^

The girl from Soul Eater is the most obvious example I can think of (never watched it so I don't actually know her name).

I know it’s not anime but if you’re going to a convention there’s a lot of Mihoyo characters. Castorice and Seele from Honkai Star Rail use scythes.

Arknights has three but I don't know if they have appeared in the anime yet: La Pluma, Highmore, and Entelechia.

Honestly probably going to be a lot more female scythe users in video games than in anime, because even in anime with multiple scythe users they're often somehow all male.

So from games... Looking through the other answers, I see nobody's mentioned Rim (scythe) and Shaydi (chain sickle) from the game Trickcal, who might work if you're doing a duo cosplay, or Gretel from Mary Skelter.

There's a female shinigami called Ageha in the Rumiko Takahashi anime "Rin-ne" who carries a scythe with a bow on it. The male MC Rin-ne's extremely young-looking grandmother Tamako is also a shinigami, but I don't think she's actually shown with a scythe that often. (These are both basically supporting characters, so they don't appear in every episode.)

>(or video games)

Since they are hardly any video games mentions, I'll throw one out there: Sciel from Clair Obscur Expedition 33.
