Need some short anime recommendations that I can finish under 4-5 hours

I'd like more action anime suggestions like the season 1 of a greater series which is yet to be animated example hell's paradise or lord of the mysteries OR maybe just a 1 season anime like undead unluck but shorter ofc.

Hi StoicRat04, it seems like you might be looking for new anime to watch!

The users of this subreddit came up with [a chart of anime recommendations for newcomers and veterans](https://i.redd.it/0w1v880jtq661.png) and [an awesome longer flowchart](https://i.redd.it/vdzlkodz19c71.png). Maybe you can find something there that you'll like \^.\^

Phantom Thief Reinya is one season and you could easily finish it in under 5 hours.

Akudama Drive, it's easily not the best honestly, but it's definitely worth a shot if you like action anime

What about OVAs?

StoicRat042026-01-09 20:16

I haven't really watched any OVAs so maybe no but I can try them out

Pristine_Writer_67812026-01-09 21:43

TBH, I have never heard of any of hte animes you've listed, but if you want anime with action that totals up to 5 hours, I'd say just watch several OVAs. They have better animations and higher production budget than typical serialised anime. If you've never watched any OVAs, maybe try some of the OG greatest ones like

Ninja Scroll (1993)

Akira (1988)

Ghost In The Shell (1995)

Vampire Hunter D Bloodlust (2000)

So normal length anime, then?
