*The fact that this is based on a kpop band is wild to me.*

moichispa2026-01-09 18:00

Random harem of hot vampire buys who are secretly Kpop bands. To be fair I'm glad they tried to be original at least?

PeaceAlien2026-01-09 18:04

Which one

hydranoid19962026-01-09 18:45

Enhypen

mksmith952026-01-10 00:16

Damn that's crazy it's based on them! They're really good tho.

hydranoid19962026-01-10 00:17

It’s an anime adaptation of the webtoon that was based on them. HYBE has a whole slew of them. BTS and TXT both have webtoons surrounding their lore

mksmith952026-01-10 00:18

Damn, I had no idea. Thank you!!

mr_beanoz2026-01-10 04:20

And the werewolves are supposed to be based on &TEAM members

Frontier2462026-01-09 19:09

*K-Pop Vampire Harem*

Panikkrazy2026-01-10 03:58

Wait is ENHYPEN the SOURCE for this!?

Friendly_Cell_2962026-01-11 15:07

YESS

WoodpeckerBest5232026-01-11 23:55

Yupppp

NoHead17152026-01-10 04:17

ah... no wonder the Korean vibes I'm getting. Interesting...

Friendly_Cell_2962026-01-11 15:06

yea haha

WoodpeckerBest5232026-01-11 23:55

This is so cool as an Enhypen fan. The fun they can have with this is endless

moichispa2026-01-09 17:59

The 2010's called, they said they want their Vampire shows back.

It is interesting how much this show feels like the shows from that era, I wonder if it will fit the new teen generation.

I don't think I will watch more episodes but it was interesting to see the old troupes.

mekerpan2026-01-09 18:28

I only watched this because it was essentially the only show airing today of even remote interest. I actually found it a lot more engaging than I expected. I'll watch again next week.

And next week we get werewolves going after the vampires? (based on that preview)

moichispa2026-01-09 18:45

Yeah you cannot have vampires without werewolves (damn 2010's)

Atharaphelun2026-01-09 18:56

This is a far cry from the likes of Trinity Blood and Seraph of the End, though.

Reefer4life2026-01-12 01:05

Seraph of the End was so freaking good. I’d kill for more season.

Eminence_Fr0nt2026-01-10 03:53

yeah i aint seen one of these type things (that seemed good or atleast fun, cause i remember that vampire cafe thing awhile ago but i also remember it was kind of ass) since vampire knight

WoodpeckerBest5232026-01-11 23:56

I’m getting heavy nostalgia from it for sure

Frontier2462026-01-09 18:09

Vampire Reverse Harem's are back on the menu!

Shmappii2026-01-09 18:12

Socially awkward girl who is ostracized for being different transfers to a live-in night school built into a giant cathedral who then immediately gets surrounded by various hot men that all appreciate what makes her different. Next week: Punch a Werewolf

Hell yeah, take me back to the self-insert middle school notebook livejournal days. Excellent cringe throwback stuff

mekerpan2026-01-09 18:29

I wonder if our heroine IS actually at least half-vampire -- or something of that sort? She seems to fit right into with that batch of vampire boys.

Western-Internal-7512026-01-09 21:21

Man, I can’t remember the tv series title, but there the protagonist was actually a fairy or half fairy or something and her fairy blood made vampires attracted to her.

I wonder if they do something along those lines.

naiim2026-01-09 22:13

True Blood on HBO

silask932026-01-09 23:05

Eric and Alcide can take me anytime.

NoHead17152026-01-10 04:18

I think her red eyes gave it away.

Bad_Doto_Playa2026-01-11 00:44

> who then immediately gets surrounded by various hot men that all appreciate what makes her different.

You know what, I've seen a lot of this crap but at least this TRIES to justify why it's happening and seems to be linking it back to the main story lol. Can't say the same for 99% of them.

Shmappii2026-01-11 01:42

It would be difficult to have 7 guys in a row all look at her and say "...interesting," so I'm glad they put some effort in, lol

Admirable_Attorney402026-01-09 18:28

I dont know this feels like a anime from 15y ago.

Dont really like vampire storylines [except Call of the Night] - also is that a love pentagon???

maybe I wait how next episodes turn out.

moichispa2026-01-09 18:46

I think you're supposed to call it a harem at this point

Niwaka_Samurai2026-01-09 19:49

Reverse Harem to be precise

moichispa2026-01-09 20:55

I like my sexy boys

Disastrous-Concept992026-01-10 04:04

Kind of made me think of a cutesier verison of vampire night and outran high school host club mixed vibes lol

nenhirii2026-01-10 22:10

its going to be darker later.. so stay tuned

Niwaka_Samurai2026-01-09 19:48

I love the premise. The Twilight saga got an anime, haha. Reverse Harem would be good when it's done right.

Enhypen doing the op and ed is a blessing and since it adapted from manhwa that's to be expected.

Just what is Sooha, if not vampire maybe a werewolf but that might not be the case since the vampire guys are drawn to her. A night school that doesn't let vampires get into school.. yeah, not raising suspicions at all lol

ObvsThrowaway51202026-01-09 20:38

Female MC surrounded by a group of Ikemenpires eh? Classic. They never got vampires lookin like regular ass dudes do they? lol. And they’re all drawn to her too. She’s really building that harem lol.

So is this one based off a WEBTOON or manhwa or something? Sooha sounds kinda Korean so figured it might be.

moichispa2026-01-09 21:28

Yeah it is from an anime about areal kpop band (they do the op/ed)

ObvsThrowaway51202026-01-10 02:39

Ah, gotcha gotcha

WoodpeckerBest5232026-01-11 23:56

Enhypen! 🥰

SYZekrom2026-01-09 20:38

"There's no way any of our faculty or students are vampires"

Couldn't stop myself from snickering at that lol

"We can still use the room as a hangout if we make friends with her"

Yea of course lemme as a girl just casually let a group of boys use my bedroom as a hangout b/c that's what the room was for before I moved in and they're friendly lmao

Hm so even they believe vampires can't enter. So how did they get here?

So they all have special powers that don't tip her off that they're vampires? So people just have special powers in this world unrelated to being a vampire, like how she has super-strength? But of course, she was discriminated against b/c people suspected she was a vampire for that super strength. Sure.

Oh so it *isn't* something she knew about, she just assumed it was a thing when they suddenly all went 'we have powers like you'?

...Starting to suspect she's a vampire and somehow doesn't realize. Maybe she's even the vampire that killed her friend from the flashback she had and she doesn't know. Idfk how.

NoHead17152026-01-10 04:22

\> Maybe she's even the vampire that killed her friend from the flashback she had and she doesn't know

I like this theory.. Would be pretty heart-wrenching if they went this way

NanDemoKnaives2026-01-09 21:29

The pacing in this is a little fast, everyone's just completely drawn to her just from one appearance lol. Showing their secret powers with no hesitation. Jakah and Solon are the smart ones for being cautious.

It seems like we got werewolves infiltrating next episode and we'll be seeing Sooha use her strength to protect the school lol.

tripleaamin2026-01-09 22:11

Yeah, I can tell this is not my type of show at all. Hope those who do like it have fun with it. 🫡

charismelia2026-01-09 22:20

I know nothing of the source material, but I was hoping for something like Dance with Devils and some in-show performances, so this was a tad disappointing... The idol staff fooled me!

gem2niki2026-01-09 22:55

If not for Troyca, I would have been less excited. I like how they draw expressions. Not familiar with the kpop group, but interesting to know it’s a webtoon based on the members. For a school that bars vampires, there sure are a lot that got in lol.

AceSoldia2026-01-09 23:12

Lol how they just assume she has powers unrelated to being a vampire because they don't let vampires into the school .when they are all vampires .is ridiculous to me 🤣.

Western-Internal-7512026-01-09 23:22

Totally no vampires in this school that has all classes at a convenient night time

Galinhooo2026-01-10 11:49

Finally a school for gamers?!

Lodju2026-01-10 13:23

But it's more fun to game at night?

Galinhooo2026-01-10 13:30

just game at school and you wont need to worry about having to be alive during the day

CuriousBroccolli2026-01-09 23:49

I....kinda enjoyed this actually, for some reason.

Production is rather solid and I love school centered anime.

Can't really tell if I'll continue it or not, but it was a solid first episode, especially if you are into this kind of stories.

LazulineDaydream2026-01-10 00:26

Ah, who could ever forget the story of [An Ancient Legend](https://imgur.com/a/x52eWrC)? I'm guessing they were just lazy about grabbing some English, but that makes it look like they animated filler text or something.

Especially on the nose with him saying "I'm interested in ancient legends."

harrellj2026-01-12 20:15

There was also a ton of books there and yet the one that she knew was his was that book.

SLE-62026-01-10 01:13

I love the accents in the English dub!

queenie_vxxii2026-01-10 13:56

I didn’t, they sound Australian and I’m not use to it yet hopefully I will in the next few episodes.

allisonwh2026-01-11 04:46

The narrator was definitely Scottish, not sure about the rest of the VAs as I don't typically watch dubbed versions and switched it to original Japanese the moment I heard the English.

queenie_vxxii2026-01-11 09:26

I never heard a Scottish person speak before so this can be true

Reefer4life2026-01-12 01:07

Oh I hated them cuz I could hear the VA slipping in between and American accent and an English/scottish/aussie accent. I usually love dubs and am hard to displease but it was all I could focus on so I switched it to Japanese.

Williukea2026-01-10 02:10

I wonder if Japanese is original or if they have a Korean dub too. Surprised they kept the Korean names, but if it's based on real band it makes sense

thehaxorman2026-01-10 03:50

well, I somehow didn't hate that. this is definitely not my type of show. but some of the characters have almost a little personality to them which I didn't expect.

will probably keep watching for now since this is the only thing I'm watching today until netflix drops all of Prism Rondo.

NoHead17152026-01-10 04:26

I'm here for the mystery of Sooha's background. She's either a dhampir or one from the ancient bloodline.

_Ridley2026-01-10 04:36

This is dumb as shit, and I can't wait for next week.

It's like Vampire Dormitory, but KPop.

Ordinary_Ostrich_1952026-01-10 05:00

I love it but I read the webtoon!

minnieboss2026-01-10 06:34

This is so 2013-type awesome I'm going to go so far as to call it awesomesauce

Williukea2026-01-10 17:12

Calling it now, MC is half vampire half werewolf (or maybe half human half one of them)

JamesSomdet2026-01-10 19:49

This is great! Sooha actually has a great personality for a romance and the vampire boys seem sweet.

pynxem2026-01-10 20:17

who's the japanese narrator at the start? Her voice really reminds me of another anime, but I can't place her, and google is failing me atm.

Amazing_Pen43712026-01-11 02:07

It's giving that old anime, Diabolic Lovers 😑

melindypants2026-01-15 21:50

I thought of Vampire Knight lol

Amazing_Pen43712026-01-15 22:42

Yes that too, thinking about those old anime’s just makes me feel so nostalgic.

melindypants2026-01-15 22:43

Same - those were special times :)

arjuna932026-01-11 14:34

Finally the pattern is reversed

WoodpeckerBest5232026-01-11 23:54

The episode was already good but simply because it’s based off of the Enhypen lore, I am giving it a 100/10.

Like seriously, this is so cool! Congratulations Enhypen ✨

OkFormal89152026-01-12 09:16

POV: ENHYPEN fans watching this while already knowing the story, including the prequel and sequel >>>>

Worldly_Present_86852026-01-13 02:32

I really enjoyed the first ep surprisingly! The opening seems very dark for the premise of the show so it’s piqued my interest 😭

Ok_Employ_94482026-01-13 17:06

Where can I watch it??? Leaving crunchyroll any other site global sites

YlfaTheForsaken2026-01-14 00:46

This is too ridiculous, yet I enjoyed how shamelessly self-indulgent it it. It makes me feel silly, but that's the point isn't it, the funsies of it all

TheMythofKoalas2026-01-15 07:00

This is my kind of cringe. I'm here for it.

anvicper2026-01-15 15:59

I’m a big Shoujo fan and this episode was okay! Probably will get people all giddy and excited for the boys. Select your favourite one! Boys over Flowers but with vampires and some bs storyline lol
