Hell's Paradise, to your eternity

Sorry, I didn't see the comedy party of your post. Neither choice is the slightest bit funny.

This 100% I love the dark humor in it, as well as the perspective of the lives of these children show actors

Grand Blue Dreaming is my favorite comedy anime. It doesn’t focus on romance really at all. Mainly focuses on the comedy.
Party_Python2026-01-10 01:19
Actually, it mainly focuses on oolong tea.
Gold_Honey97532026-01-10 01:19
True. Lots of oolong tea.

I second Saiki K, mc is ace as hell and immune to women

Gintama is a very high bar dude. I would try those:
\-Handyman Saitou in Another World. Isekai fantasy, there's a romantic interest but the plot is not focus on it. Very funny if you appreciate dick jokes, which I know you do cause gintama ;)
\-Konosuba. Isekai fantasy, the mc is a pervert and there's many boobs, but not romantic.
\-Daily Lives of High School Boys. highschool slice of life, don't remember having romance.
\-Genshiken. Slice of life in college, there's romantic relationship but don't remember being centered on it, it's just a bunch of nerds and geeks.
\-Great Teacher Onizuka. Has some romantic and erotic interests, but no romance plot I'd say. Young wannabe teacher doing crazy stuff. The theme is reaching maturity I'd say,
\-No Longer Allowed in Another World. Isekai fantasy, the female characters like the mc and he is kinda in a search for love interest, but not really about romance.
If you don't mind something erotic, not hentai, I would also add:
\-Interspecies Reviewers. Fantasy adventurers reviewing brothels that are served by different kinds of fantsay creatures
\-Prison School. Male students are allowed in an only female school and end up being somewhat arrested and abuse because they are viewed as pervert. It has a romance plotline but it's still pretty funny.

Can’t believe no one has recommended Barakamon yet!

Yeah it's also a good slice of life and I also recommend watching handa kun after watching barakamon

**Nichijou**. Totally off the wall comedy revolving around school life. High school whose antics make ***I Love Lucy*** look like a documentary about everyday life.
**Anamanga Daoh** another off the wall schoolgirl comedy. Child prodigy 10-year-old girl starts high school. Like 16 episodes, but they cover all three years of high school.
**Lucky Star**. More high school girl comedy. Not as off the wall as the above, but it covers their senior year in high school, even though they all look like middle-school age. One is an Otaku whose dad is a mangaka.
**Aho Girl**. It could be a romantic comedy, but the object of her attention doesn't want anything to do with her. The girl is studying to be a moron to upgrade her intelligence. The MC is a airhead high school girl. I know you don't want a romantic comedy, but this one is one that is geared to comedy.
**Hinamatsuri**. Psychokinetic tween girl drops in on a yakuza and forces him to take care of her. No romance between her and the yakuza, although they do form a father daughter bond. I loved it so much I bought all 19 volumes of the manga. Great character development.
**A Salad Bowl of Eccentrics** similar to Hinamatsuri. The tween girl is a princess who can use magic. The guy she has as a father figure is a private investigator.

Sket Dance, it was done by one of the previous assistants to Gintama's author. There are literally two crossovers between Gintama and Sket Dance

The Disastrous Life of Saiki K.
Kotaro Lives Alone (sadness through humor)
JJBA is hilarious, but the first arc (and 99% of peoples least favorite arc) is romance heavy

There are plenty of moe comedy shows like this. Classic examples include Azumanga Daioh, Strawberry Marshmallow, or Invasion Squid Girl.

\- Konosuba (there are hints of romance but tbh I wouldn't classify it as romance)
