Suggestions for the new guy (me)

Hi everyone. I've recently started watching anime (at least to the point of being committed enough to try learning Japanese from YouTube).
I'll mention a few anime I like and those I plan to watch, and I'd appreciate your suggestions.

Anime I've watched: Naruto, Jujutsu Kaisen, Baki, Kengan Ashura, 7 deadly sins, Ragnarok (I didn't like it very much). There are probably some that I watched and forgot to write about.

Anime I'll definitely watch: HxH, Solo Leveling, and Bleach. (I probably won't have time for Dragon Ball; One Piece and hajime no ippo isn't for me).

Hi Kind-Plastic-6939, it seems like you might be looking for new anime to watch!

The users of this subreddit came up with [a chart of anime recommendations for newcomers and veterans](https://i.redd.it/0w1v880jtq661.png) and [an awesome longer flowchart](https://i.redd.it/vdzlkodz19c71.png). Maybe you can find something there that you'll like \^.\^

So are you looking for Action animes mainly or are you willing to dabble into other genres like romance ‘wink wink’ because if not I can’t list you much action then

Kind-Plastic-69392026-01-10 01:53

Yeah mainly. I just added 7 deadly sins to which i've watched (i just watched to see escanor) I like how animes help my gym schedule 😁

Caydos282026-01-10 01:58

I can’t help that much man, because I just looked through my list of everything I’ve watched and 99% of it is romance and drama. But these are some Action ones I’ve watched “Black Summoner, Guilty Crown, Ragna Crimson, Solo Leveling, Demon Slayer and The Asterisk War”

Gym?!

Hmmm?!!

You must at minimum watch the Opening Song of "How many Dumbbells can you lift?"

The anime itself is an enjoyable comedy, but watch the OP song! Please!

If you want another battle anime to try watching, they announced a reboot for "World Trigger". So that's one anime to look forward to (competitive videogame / battle shounen / first person shooter / hero arena).

Welcome aboard newbie 🫴🏻 I wish you the best of luck on your one piece journey because there’s over 1100 episodes and counting. I had stopped at episode 1035 for one piece lol

Kind-Plastic-69392026-01-10 02:02

As i said One piece is not for me idk why but i cant like it 😭

No_Rhubarb_19362026-01-10 02:04

That’s what I said, after the first episode but then I told myself, let me see what’s this about and next thing I knew I was at episode 1035 and lost interest because the story is long winded and it’s boring. I kept losing interest after every 50th episode. Until I completely stopped. I couldn’t do it anymore.

I would highly recommend Heavenly Delusion and Gachiakuta. I was not sold on Solo Leveling, but you can give it a try, some people love it.
