Seems like IQIYI got the rights to this, huh? Why so late?

6thEspada502026-01-10 05:09

Where can I watch it? Is it Hidive?

mr_beanoz2026-01-10 05:49

ADN or IQIYI if they're available on your region

SmileProfessional9742026-01-10 07:20

It's on Prime too

A remake? Yes please. I didn't know about it until I saw this post.

The show is a remake of the original comic/anime in the 80s, in a modern setting, with some tweaks to fit in the 21st century. But then, it somewhat also does cater to an audience that watched the anime in the 80s.

One of the most important gags of this work is that all the names of the characters are puns and the name often explains the characters.

- Ichiro Rei - “All Bow”
- Reietsu Go - “Let’s Go”
- Shusse Kiyoshi - “Good attendance”
- Daima Jin - [Damajin](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daimajin)
- Monohoshi Dai - Drying Rack
- Kawa Yui - Kawaii (cute)
- Uru Chie - “loud” (she’s a chatty character)
- Ikari Masuyo - “(I’m) gonna get angry”
- Undou Kai - “sports festival”
- Nihiruda You - “(I’m) nihilistic”
- Amano Jako - “contrarian”

The list goes on and on.
