Any good dark anime - trauma, make you rethink life
Hi,
This maybe asked before but I'm looking for some good dark anime - something maybe like berserk: makes you rethink things leave a trauma.
And for f*** sake don't recommend
AOT, parasyte they are not dark
I've already watched:
Berserk, Devil man crybaby, death note, steins gate, Monster, redo of healer, darker than black !
Thanks !

Anyways popoff over, don't take it personal about me defending one of my fav shows. I get you in the sense that it's not really that dark past the middle part anyway, it's more just a commentary on nature and killer instinct. Onto my actual recs. Goblin Slayer deals heavily in trauma and the struggle of living beyond it in its themes and is filled with Berserk influences in equal parts to all its D&D and LotR allusions. Even if you don't like the anime [(a feat in itself)](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1_VBzONOP2U), the manga is amazing and the art HEAVILY evokes Miura's style. The prequel manga in particular is awesome esp since there's no anime adaptation.
Madomagi and Takopii are 10/10 trauma overload with incredible depth, insight, and vision. Madomagi is more of an allegory while Takopii is direct and in-your-face but hyperbolic to drive its point home even further. Two different styles of storytelling, both masterfully executed.
I also just finished Gakkou Gurashi earlier today and man that one hurt. That show was just peak levels of "damn they got me" over and over, absolutely savage, so mean and so beautiful. Highly recommended, absolutely coasting into a supremely easy 9/10.
I'll check out the rest. Thanks!
Made in Abyss might suit your tastes.
