I’ve never really watched anime but I want to! Give me some recommendations!
My husband is a fan of One Piece (which I admit I enjoy watching too) and Dragonball. I watched the OG Pokémon growing up in the 90’s, and of course some studio ghibli films but I want to dip my toes into the anime pool. Give me your favorite suggestions and where to watch them! ありがとう!🩷

complete the big 3 and watch Naruto & Bleach
(the "Big Three" refers to the three most popular and influential long-running Shonen Jump manga/anime from the 2000s: Naruto, Bleach, and One Piece)
You can get deep in to rom coms or funny adventures type its up to your style my wife is not in to anime like me but I have started her on fragrant flowers its short and is kinda but not Romeo and Juliette type drama but I dont know what your into so best to just see short clips on YouTube to see what anime catches your attention 🤔

Otherwise you're just going to be recommended the generic good stuff which won't really help you more than a 2 second Google.

Nichijou is another good pick, really funny and the animation gets crazy at times. A lot of jokes are gonna fly over your head because of cultural context and world play, but it doesn't take away from the ones that are easier to understand. To this end its sister series CITY is very similar.
And a new favorite of mine is Dungeon Meshi. The manga is great and the anime is no different. Very well made world, comedy is great, the pacing feels really good, character relations are Great, I genuinely have nothing but praise for this series. And on top of that anything by Trigger is a treat on the eyes.
Zeref also actually took advantage of his misunderstood character concept, since some villains in media had similar kind of misunderstood backstories and build-up, but they end up just being the same kind of thing as others, so it makes viewers wish they were either more straightforward with the character or they actually tried something new to avoid any missed opportunities; Zeref, on the other hand, remained a consistently tragic and misunderstood soul whose truth behind his actions only kept him the most sacrificial character in the series, and there's a reason the series wanted us to see him as his kindhearted, loving self even after all the things he did in the Alvarez Empire Arc, since his true plan was never an extremist goal to kill Acnologia while committing genocide in Ishgar, because what motivated Zeref was never his disillusion towards humanity's sins, but his concern for human life after failing every attempt to die (including Mavis' insufficient love and Natsu being a failed experiment), because even if Acnologia managed to be killed in the current timeline, Zeref became afraid of what will happen if he keeps isolating himself, since his power is connected to his feelings and mental state, and he was experienced what it's like losing his sanity (shown from how he developed a split personality after 300+ years of trauma). He became afraid of what will happen if he's too far gone and if he wipes out all life on Earthland.
Moriarty the Patriot is a good mystery one!!
Jujutsu Kaisen - Not a huge fight person, but this one of my favorite for fight scenes
Spy Family (we watch with the kids) cute little family action anime! Gives the kids fights to watch but a character their age who has powers!
Apothecary Diaries (one of my favorites!!) I LOVE MaoMao, she's totally relatable to me and watching Jinshi get rage-baited over her by the head women is HILARIOUS.
Solo Leveling - Very cool concept. I cried. Haven't completed it yet.
Lord of Mysteries - PHENOMENAL artwork, great storyline! Both make it stand out to me, but the artwork is TOP TIER.
I was Reincarnated as a Slime (the first longer anime I finished and I LOVE it - not for the fights but for the sense of family and love I get from the anime)
Attack of Titan - still haven't finished, can't watch often because of the kids and it's super gore, but I'm liking it!
Delicious in Dungeon - we watched SUPER quick because we LOVED it and it was kid friendly! It also helped our kids want to eat at home more, so that's a bonus!!
