And now, April 2026. The girl who became a ray of light illuminating upon this chaotic internet of the Reiwa Era... OMGkawaiiAngel, affectionately known as "KAngel", finally makes her TV anime debut.
The animation production is handled by Yostar Pictures, known for titles such as Arknights and Blue Archive. Director Masaoki Nakashima (affiliated with Yostar Pictures), who has worked on storyboarding and episode direction for Blue Archive and New PANTY & STOCKING with GARTERBELT, as well as the NEEDY GIRL OVERDOSE short anime, will helm the project depicting a unique story and characters for the anime.

Played the game but an adaptation doesn’t seem like it’ll fit it at all, it’ll most likely be a mess of a story or just won’t be similar to the game.

How do you make an anime about a game where drugs are a not small aspect with Japan’s draconian laws about showing drugs on TV?
I know the switch version replaced it with “candy”, but it’s still so obviously drugs that it feels more like raver candy than a sugar high.
