Trigun official Twitter/X account's statement regarding Ms Tarako (voice of Zazie the Beast from TRIGUN Stampede and TRIGUN Stargaze) who passed away in March 2024
Sorry to hear about her death! I fondly remember her as Chill from the early 80s mecha anime Blue Gale Xabungle.

Specifically, Tarako was able to voice Zazie in the first episode, as that was before she died. Minami will take over the role afterwards.

This is the same TARAKO who did Monokuma from the Danganronpa franchise, starting in 2016!
RIP.

To be fair, the initial Monokuma was Nobuyo Oyama - Tarako was the replacement for only V3 (and Danganronpa 3) anime, since Oyama couldn't reprise the role because of dementia, and then remasters have two voiceovers.
The most funky case why they chose Tarako was her voicing the other murder mascot in the other Spike Chunsoft game - and it was Zero III in Virtue's Last Reward.

Nobuyo Oyama indeed was the initial Monokuma before 2016.
