And this is not limited to this particular story only, it has been a long question in the human history, too. There is supposedly a heaven where all the people will be happy, so why not immediately cause it? Nokkers are kind-of angels, in this sense, as they are trying to create the ideal world for everyone, disregarding the human existence part. It's a top-down and bottom-up approach to global happiness, with Fushi building it from bottom-up... and slowly realising it's impossible anyway without taking morally questionable actions.
Pluribus is a great recent series that has the same theme and does roughly the same - if you've seen as many works as I have you immediately start drawing parallels, but it's still an enjoyable watch and thought-provoking, to an extent.
The left hand nokker is like fushi’s narrative foil. It’s gone through a similar existence as fushi but has only had hayase’s descendants to bond too and guide it.
Even crunchyroll had it for 15 minutes before they were odd to pull the episode so some people have managed to catch it before the episodes delay.
I can see why Fushi thought everyone would just live happily ever after together in the modern world. However, modern life comes with modern struggles. Still, everyone’s moving forward one step at a time. Fushi must feel so helpless because he can’t fix everything and it seems like everyone’s leaving him behind.
I mean, TBF, having someone like Fushi around, who can essentially act as a money printer (even if they won't let him actually print money, he can create value in other ways to compensate), would eliminate a considerable number of those modern struggles. Also, like, if they were really committed they could skimp on medical problems by just, uh, killing themselves whenever they get a serious illness or injury and having Fushi replace their body.
And that these hardships they are overcoming are part of that process of growing, of getting ahead of him, of adapting to a new world that he himself helped to make but doesn't understands, is something he is struggling to accept, to the point that he is now on his knees crying about it
The idea alone that March could have a whole life without him, and then be gone, is probably a bigger crisis that the knockers, that's his mommy after all, and in a way, Fushi is still a kid, at least mentally and emotionally, he is still dependent on the Black One giving him guidance, and now that he is gone he doesn't knows how to deal with things
I wonder after having that talk with Tonari in the library, and seeing March's face on different people as she "grows" up. If he'll decide to take a step back and let them live their lives on their own? Let them experience a full life's worth of trials and tribulations?
Next week's preview has Bon telling Fushi how everyone died before being brought back. I'm interested in hearing their stories and seeing if that weighs an impact on what's to come for everyone.
which i guess is one answer if you rly cannot balance just enjoying their company and not trying to fully control their lives lmao
Edit: oh wait, what I watched was episode 13 and 14 ws not up yet in bilibili. Seems like there's a 1 week delay due to last week, but Crunchy messed up?
Made a post about it when it happened that day 2 weeks ago
https://www.reddit.com/r/anime/s/jpmpn3ZBnw
I liked that Gugu became a folk hero in his country. He seemed to really enjoy it. But his face really looks quite normal ? I was expecting worse with the mask.
As an aside, where is Episode 13 ?
Not sure what you mean, did you not watch last episode a fortnight ago? There was even a discussion thread for it up above:
[https://www.reddit.com/r/anime/comments/1px0ye7/fumetsu\_no\_anata\_e\_season\_3\_to\_your\_eternity/](https://www.reddit.com/r/anime/comments/1px0ye7/fumetsu_no_anata_e_season_3_to_your_eternity/)
If you meant why there was a break, it was due to New Year/Earthquake interrupting the broadcast.
So of course he thought it would be a simple as "create a perfectly peaceful world where all of my friends can live together forever and ever," and because he's essentially a god, he can just make any of their wishes come true himself without them needing to suffer.
The important part is I think he's getting there, and that eventual understanding will lead to the answer to the Nokker situation as well.
Humans are really mature it seems, orb just can't keep up.
I really needed a sad episode this week.
I Heart Fushi.
Would living a few rich lives make humans fear the eventual end less, or not at all? This story here makes a very compelling argument for simple humans, but who knows how people will think in 25, 50 or 100 years when something like an eternal life could be possible at least technically.
Buddhism and I think, Hinduism (not sure) are the real exceptions I know of where the goal is annihilation (assuming I got what Nirvana is right and it isn't just eternal calmness instead) which is actually one interpretation of the bad end in Abrahamic religions.
Her current social circle is mostly my uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, and some church association members, everyone clearly several years younger than her, even the oldest church granny would be some good 30 to 40 years younger than her, you could say that statistically speaking the people around her are relatively new to her life, well except my grandpa who is on his mid 80s
On the other hand all together, i have meet people on their mid 50s with terminal illnesses, and a lot of pain and medical debt, who constantly express that they would rather die, a failure of a lack of palliative care and poor living standards
So if your life is not a satisfying one, and your prospects for the future look quite grim, the idea of living forever would look quite appalling, but similarly on the other hand, if you manage to get an stable environment for yourself there are not a lot of incentives for you to decide to die, people who manage to age happy make peace with death mostly because your body eventually can't keep going, but not out of growing tired from living
Grandma March is cute, perhaps even cuter than OG March
I think we're going to see real growth when his transformations are no longer of their restored bodies right after they died.
Anyways, kind of didn't even expect those delinquents to be anything close to an issue for the bodies that effectively fought nokker monsters.
I have seen both trope before, the never got over it, and the got remarried have many grandchildren/moved on. There isn't anything particular about one or the other it's more in how it fit with the storyline/the personality of the person. In this case it wouldn't fit since Gugu was such an important person to Rean
And I get the impression that while they have a bunch of scriptural religions, they don't have any with the zeal for conversion and metaphysical and political consequences for not converting that Christianity and Islam has. So maybe their religious landscape looks like the various branches of hinduism before colonization.
I think the fact that all his friends rejected paradise for this world means there's things they want that cannot be substituted for with just more good things. Gugu enjoying a welcoming home in his homeland and Hiro wanting to explore cannot be replaced by any paradise fushi creates or the nokker take people to.
While, sure. He may not be advanced enough to sense them anywhere, all it takes is a phone call, coordinates and some tugging at the roots. The later two could be replaced with a landmark if Fushi's been there before.
I guess its a mental barrier he has to overcome but he should remember them scattering around the world isn't the same as them leaving forever.
Edit:- Also, Fushi could use this as a secret cheat to keep them around longer. Just teleport them through the roots every 1 - 10 years and they may not even noticed how everytime they get reformed, they're back to an earlier age, keeping them with Fushi for longer. I mean, they have outlived loved ones two times already so they shouldn't be super torn up about it but you know, it may still lead to some heated conversion down the road.
Where's the old lady who's dying wish was to help Fushi in her next life?
When did the anime (or the manga) confirm this? I had no idea
* Same hair colour
* Nose hair
* Black Hood warns Pioran that if her form changes, her mind will too, implying she might not become a human
* Pioran tells Fushi she used to "work like a horse" (unsure if this was the same idiom in Japanese)
* First thing the horse does is bite Fushi's leg, which is also what Pioran did soon after meeting him when she was hungry
* Black Hood says he created the horse "some time ago"
* The horse is good at fishing, which makes Fushi almost remember Pioran
* The horse doesn't want to eat the fruit Fushi creates, which Pioran also didn't want to do
* The cover of volume 9 has Fushi riding a young Pioran like a horse
After that I mightve completely made up but i feel like we saw the silhouette of a horse?
and before anyone says, pirate sites get their content from the official sources so...
Episode 13 at least was apparently released for a short window of time (for the pirates to feast on), before it got pulled back.
CR wants to support pirates. Well, either that or they are hilariously incompetent (but that's not possible, CR is flawless).
Not sure about episode 14, but it's up on all the sites I watch anime at.
And we will soon have to go through the same character arc as Fuu-chan. The anime will likely end pretty soon now (I'm guessing that we have 1 cour left).
[Looks curse enough](https://cdn.imgchest.com/files/20054f4c0906.jpg)....This show never failed to surprise me
Not enough Mizuha!! Never thought Mizuha has no screen time at all this week
This seem unlikely as Rean would have passed on thinking that Gugu have already passed on as well, and not that he was just hanging around Fushi as a ghost.
Fushi is realizing that everyone will move on with their lives and leave him behind, when he clearly thought that they would all stay together like before. Maybe in the old days that outcome was possible, but in the modern world they all have different lives to live and that will take them to different places.
I´m really happy we got an episode like this.
That doesn't mean I want Fushi to try to go after the Nokkers since that plot started getting tiring around episode 9 and even in universe he seems nowhere closer to that goal and is just mentally tiring himself out. But I'd want Fushi and his friends to enjoy the modern world and the things they worry about be mundane like the jerks at school, unrequited crushes, or maybe later on the daily commute to work as opposed to "we have to save humanity from extinction" kind of thing. If Fushi can't get rid of the Nokkers, maybe he can convince the Knokker in Mizuha to at least stop bugging him.
I don't think his friends should feel obligated to stay with him for the rest of their lives, but living close by for the first few years is something I feel they ought to do. This time can also be spent acclimating. March learnt how to use chopsticks at last. Now you just need to know some basic math since you need to know that for almost every job.
So Gugu gets in trouble for fighting back after someone else started the fight? Yup sounds like how school bullying works as far as I know.
Tonari talking like an old lady sounds strange to me even though I know she's in her 50s and just looks young. It wasn't obvious when she complained about Fushi playing with her friends' bodies but it is apparent in less emotional conversations. Also being young means she can put off "ouch my back" for 4 decades from now instead of 1, so that's a huge plus.
I may not be able to express my impressions perfectly, but I’ll try.
This episode brought back old memories and served as a follow-up to Gugu’s influence on the people.
The good memories and meaningful moments shared by Rean, Gugu’s brother, and the elders continue to give them strength. Even though they know Gugu is gone, they choose to live on and look up to him.
Those memories are what turn Gugu’s hardships in the past into smiles in the present, giving everyone hope
and the will to keep living.
The episode beautifully connects the past with the present. Each person carries their own struggles and regrets, but in the end, they must cope with them and find their own answers in order to achieve true happiness.
Fushi tried to solve everyone’s problems for them, but that isn’t always the right solution.
This is the most human aspect of the anime—and it’s what I love most about it.
Fushi imagined what kinda hell it would be for him when Machi grow up and leaves him.. 💔💔
Each of these people who Fushi brought back must leave Fushi someday 'cause that's what being human is all about. You grow up.
I guess the deliberate choice of keeping Fushi not returning home for so long really worked because the contrast is night and day.
I hope Fushi internalizes that comment about how similar he is to nokkers trying to control everyone, bro actually has separation anxiety to the max. I hope he realizes that his control is what contributes to making life harder, not easier

So that was a fucking lie
