It's studio Kai. Based on the few things I've seen from them, I have high hopes.
The two MVs they did for Houshou Marine, Shinkiro and Dead Ma'am's Chest, both look amazing. And the first episode of Sentenced to be a Hero, which aired recently, looks great too.
3HaDeS32026-01-10 17:48

I feel like the comedy is at least partially the point. None of these characters are serious people, they're all different flavors of idiot.

*7 girls*
This calls for a best girl ranking prediction!
1. Miltie (looks like an absolute pest, AND is voiced by my girl Izumi Fuuka!)
2. Kanan. (Well, MC has to be good! AND voiced by my girl Koga Aoi! Damn, this show only needed Ai Fairouz and Hanakana to complete the list!)
3. Ami. Tan-skinned, well endowed maid. That is all.
4. Lillum. Mom? Older sister? Either way's good!
5. Jeanne. "Antagonist" but mostly in a comedic fashion, I assume? She looks fun!
6. Masurao. I have no idea who that could be (normal girl, Male MC's crush maybe?)
7. Miel. She looks shy, and well, if you know me/my rankings, shy girls don't cut it for me. (Can a shy demon/succubus break that pattern? We'll see!)
(And if I had to slot in the dude somewhere for a 'best character' list, I'd put him around... 5th?)

I'm going to preserve your order rather than doing my own. These are general vibes, no major spoilers here:
[1. Miltie] >!Pretty accurate, her personality makes her a bit of a fan favorite because while the series is pretty crazy over-all, Miltie takes it to another level.!<
[2. Kanan] >!Kanan *is* good. She's also mostly the protagonist, unlike a lot of these series where the guy is the clear protagonist. Expect most episodes and inner monologues to be from her point of view, not Kyougi's.!<
[3. Ami] >!She's alright. I'm not the biggest fan of her because the others tend to be more entertaining.!<
[4. Lillum] >!One of your guesses is accurate.!< [Additional info] >!She's Kanan's mom.!<
[5. Jeanne] >!Jeanne is great and another fan favorite. She might be near the top of my list, next to Kanan.!<
[6. Masurao] >!Normal girl yes, as far as anyone can be normal in this series. Crush no.!< [Episode 1/Chapter 1] >!Kyougi and Kanan become an official couple at the very start of the series.!< [Additional info on Masurao] >!Her family name *Nadeshiko* might give away that she's more of the stereotypical prim and proper type, making her a foil for Kanan and Kyougi's antics.!<
[7. Miel] >!I actually like Miel a lot. Unfortunately, she gets the least page time out of all the cast in this visual collection. She *might* surprise you, at least a little.!<
[Unranked Kyougi] >!Solid character for the male lead in a sort-of harem series. He's got a consistent personality and characterization, and he's a fun play on the "dense" archetype because he is very much *not* oblivious to romance, he is *very* into Kanan and is not afraid to express that, but then he's completely and utterly blind to her being a demon. He handwaves away all the demonic stuff, believing it to be nothing more than fetish roleplay, which sometimes frustrates the hell out of Kanan.!<
Emi_Ibarazakiii2026-01-10 22:09
Hah, seems interesting (the bit in Kyougi especially!)
But I'm still curious about your best girl ranking!
[Note on Masurao:] >!I'd actually confused her with a different character later in the series. What I said about her in the previous comment still stands, but her role is *extremely* minor, to the point where I'm surprised she was included in this visual set.!<
Emi_Ibarazakiii2026-01-11 01:31
(spoiler) Hah, I see!
Well, can't wait to see it, see if I "predicted" right (for my own ranking)! (And can't wait to just watch it in general, because I'm sure I'm gonna love it!)
Verzwei2026-01-11 02:45
I like it a lot. It's *extremely* silly and dumb fun with a decent bit of *rom* in its romcom blend. And, despite the character designs, it's *not* super degenerate trash most of the time, with only the occasional dash of lewd humor to go alongside its goofy shenanigans.

7. Masurao
[Note on Masurao:] >!I'd actually confused her with a different character later in the series. What I said about her in the previous comment still stands, but her role is *extremely* minor, to the point where I'm surprised she was included in this visual set.!<
Well, can't wait to see it, see if I "predicted" right (for my own ranking)! (And can't wait to just watch it in general, because I'm sure I'm gonna love it!)
Would you believe me if I told you that my best girl isn't even one of these seven? Sadly we might not even see her until season 2 :'(
