The concept of love being mixed with the shocker organization and converting them is great lol

Imagine just casually *walking home late at night and all of a sudden a half naked woman wearing a tiger mask, comes crashing down off a rooftop screaming shocker exists lmao.

So the sis finds out the truth about Shocker, does this mean she's going to be the sixth member of the Super Kamen Rider Sentai?

It's Futaba vs Kumota! Futaba is tough, tougher than most, and she puts up a good fight...but she's not just dealing with your average assassin. She's dealing with a Shocker Kaijin!

I love how the moment he mentions Shocker, Futaba just thinks he's another delusional fanboy like her brother and thus must die...until he transforms into Spider Man and Futaba realizes she's dealing with a genuine, bonafide, Kaijin and nothing she throws at him will do any damage. But points for trying.

Honestly if I was in Shocker and saw Futaba, I would want to make her a Kaijin too. I mean, can you imagine her in the Wasp Woman outfit? But even if it means running away in her underwear (which is quite a visual unto itself), Futaba HAS to get away! And then declare to the Heavens the truth that she knows now as much as her brothers do...SHOCKER EXISTS!

Meeting of the Shocker Kaijin! Turns out Bat Man and Spider Man, while both working towards Shockers' goal of world conquest, have totally different methods for doing so. Spider Man is slowly turning select individuals into Combatants/Kaijins, while Bat Man is trying to take over the world...with a Female Combatant idol boom (so does that mean the Combat Girls are also Shocker Combatants already?). But Spider Man can't help but be fascinated by humans, especially after his tussle with Tojima.

Yukarsiu and Mitsuba are so lovey-dovey! And always have time for a smooch...except for when an underwear-clad sister in a tiger mask is standing outside their door.

Yes Futaba, Shocker is real. Yes, your sister-in-law is a Shocker Combatant. Yes, they killed your grandparents. And yes, Ichiyo is a certifiable nutjob but he wasn't lying about Shocker. But you're also still justified in wanting to beat him up.

I love how Yukarisu might no longer be brainwashed by Shocker, but she still feels the burning desire of all Combatants to become a Kaijin. Though she's just as happy being Mitsuba's Shocker Wife.

It's rough being an idol! You have a hankering for ramen it's liable to turn you into a chubby sea lioness idol like Sena, you're an idol about to hit 30 meaning you can't risk your career for anything like Junko, or you're liable to get attacked (by Bat Man?) and get turned into combatant zombies!

Seems like Kumota was THIS close to taking care of loose ends in the thugs who hired him to take on Tiger Mask, but Sena who immediately became enamored with him (even while running from her zombie co-workers) yells to ward the thugs off to help him and even lets said thugs step on her as they walk away! That's taking one for the team, Sena!

And now we've got Kumota princess carrying her, wondering if she saw his Kaijin mouth, and Sena is head over heels in love. I'm sure this will end well.

Okay, I'm beginning to hope that spider man will turn tojima and the gang into monsters, basically turning them into real kamen riders, riderman, tackle. This will be a dream come true for them, and be able to become a real superhero.

On a side note, I feel like that spider man and bat man are not on the same page.

How I missed those facial expressions.

Futaba is having the biggest mental breakdown after getting her ass kicked and learning Shocker is real.

Yukarisu suffering from professional jealously, not only does she get her ass kicked by humans, the new girl gets offered a promotion straight to monster.

There is actually a plus sized idol group, so the sea lioness doesn't need to give up her 2 bowls of ramen or her dreams of being an idol.

The ramen shack owner is thinking Junko is a total bitch to taking away his best customer.

Futaba’s going to need to swallow her pride when she meets Ichiyou and admits that Shockers are real. Can’t wait to see his reaction.

Batman seemed to aim for quantity over quality. Unlike Spiderman’s, his shocker convertees all acted like zombies and had lost all human intellect.

My headcanon about how Tojima's "transformation" works is it's essentially a trance like a Norse Bserker's or a pcp user. You also see it with people in high adrenaline situations like lifting cars to save kids. The issue is it's very damaging to the body. There is a reason our pain response stops us from doing it.

Why are the combatants made from the bat monster mindless? They are like zombies.

Also We knew Bat-Man likes his combatant recruitment to be idols now. (I remembered many people pointed out: the combat girls idol's symbol in previous eps is look like shocker symbol, seem like shockers in idol groups is an availability now).

...By the way, seem like some rom-com between fat idol and Spider-Man next week.

Futaba was truly incredible to have managed to escape from Spider-man. Her split-second decision to flee was likely the result of the wild instinct working within her. From her agile movements to her sprinting at full throttle—even while stripped down to her underwear—the results of Tiger Master’s life-or-death hell training are clearly showing. To be able to fight while fleeing against a monster like that... the three Shimamura siblings really are all strong.

Then there’s the new character, Sena. Her attitude of devouring her favorite ramen while ignoring the opinions of her fellow idol members and fans is consistent, and in a way, it’s amazing. Everyone in this series is crazy somewhere lol.

At the idol agency, everyone had become Shocker. This must be the first stage of world conquest that Bat-man spoke of—increasing the number of Shocker. It's somehow understandable why Spider-man isn't into that plan.

And the future of the relationship between Spider-man and Sena... Could a romance between a monster and a human really be starting? With the way Sena is now, I feel like she would happily become a Shocker just to devote herself to Spider-man.

Romance subplot between Spider Man and a Plus-size Idol? I'm down for it

So Bat Man is brainwashing all idols and their affiliates and abusing his position to have a harem of idols whereas Spider Man is looking for the best of the best.

I don't know if an idol that gets called Sea Lioness and sneaks out two eat two bowls of ramen every night is the best person for him to learn about humans, but it looks like that's who he'll learn it from.

Futaba finally learns the truth and what a *shocking* way too, I like how she still admits even if he was saying the truth he's still acts like a freak show so she'll still beat him up when she feels like it.

And so the anime about the group of unhinged superhero obsessed man-children is back!! Sadly we did not end up seeing them much in this episode though...

Kumota wants to learn more about humans eh? I wonder if he was never a human to begin with or if the shocker brainwashing is that much stronger on the kaijin?

Man, this is the most random plot. I deadass had no idea what was gonna happen next. I can't wait to see what the author has cooked up for us next episode.

Also, anime is going kinda slow, so I might save up the rest

My Sea Lioness.

She's cute, sure, but what cements her in our hearts is the typical Toujima trope of the character being a moron with a theme. The theme today is "Slurp, UMAI!"

So will our Lioness join the Shocker faction alongside our Yakuza? I look forward to seeing her join either side of this epic tale.

Random Thoughts

Yay...one of my favorite shows last season is back. So like...Futaba is doing at least as good as "I beat up bears" Toujima. I mean its still not enough, since she is by herself. but damn this family must have some high grade genetics (or insanity)

I am pretty sure she is more angry about her brother being correct than knowing that monsters actually killed her grandparents

So we have an actual Shocker plot. Interesting that there doesn't seem much of a overall organization, since the monsters seemingly each do there own thing. It's clear that Batman is the worst of the two we have met so far and I can see this episode slowly setting up Spiderman as at least a reluctant ally.

Batman seems to be setting himself up as a harem protagonist. The 100 idols who you really really brainwashed into your minions. Now the question is if the army themed idols are already in thrall of Batman, or if Nakao is going to have to kick some monster butt (Or I suppose they are already some idol magical group because I feel like this show would do that)

Okay...now it's an idol anime. That Shocker recruitment is pretty horrifying, or at least the way Batman does it.

And now it's a romantic comedy? Although I can't blame her...Spiderdude is pretty hot.

I did not know Futaba was hiding all that, she was even was rocking the heather calvin Klein undies 😮‍💨 the mangaka knows ball.

Sis now knows Shockers are real and her bros weren’t *just* chuuni goofballs lol. Especially Ichiyo. ‘Course he still needs to get his ass kicked by her. I mean it’s a sibling’s duty haha.

Sena eating ramen after declaring she wants to be an idol was pretty funny. I can see why she’s called the Sea Lioness lol. I hope she doesn’t get turned into a monster by Spider Man.

I admire how this show takes characters you would typically feel to be one-note, like Nakao, and fleshes them out. And it seems they're doing just that with both Sena, whom I expected to die in that (awesome) horror movie-esque shocker scene, and Spider Man. That preview has me hyyyyped.

This show keeps going in unexpected directions and it's pretty exciting. Happy they kept the OD/ED.

I guess Futaba's power level is still below the main folks after all; very skilled but still low on strength to take Shocker monsters down.

That moment when Futaba realized that her brother wasn't completely crazy and Shocker is real was priceless.

Damn, this was one eventful night for everyone.

From what I know about Kamen Rider, the Riders and Combatants (and monsters?) are supposed to be cyborgs. Junko seems to have vampire-like bite marks (prob from Bat Man). I wager the cyberization has been modernized to use nanomachines, son!

Now I wanna know how the yakuza guy wasn't brainwashed. Probably from the whims or as an experiment of Spider Man like we can see in this episode.

EDIT: Seeing some of the comments, apparently the bite marks are a reference to Bat Man and some virus when he bites them?

"What? This dude is not normal" She says as she jumps from wall to wall to reach the rooftop of a building and then proceeds to jump off said building, coming crashing down the street after falling from at least 50ft and just walks it off without a single bruise.

Such a normal woman.

This is the part where it gets serious and awesome. Finally awesome characters. Yukarisu is one of a kind 🤣🤣🤣

Sena/Sea Lioness having some porn-tastic background music is quite the vibe for this show. Especially towards delicious Tonkotsu Ramen, and or when seeing Mr. Spoder.
