Neat, I guess. Watched first season and generally couldn’t get into it. Nice for its fans though I suppose.
Xx420EdgeLord69xX2026-01-11 07:33
The fact that such a mild and inoffensive opinion where you just said you didn't personally like something but hope fans like it got downvoted isn't an indictment of you, it's an indictment of this insufferable sub.
LoveMeSomeBerserk2026-01-11 12:27
Upvoted now. I didn’t really like season 1 either.
LoveMeSomeBerserk2026-01-11 12:32
I think my biggest issue is Chinatsu kind of sucks compared to Hina. Like she is incredibly boring. Couldn’t get into it.
DismalKnob2026-01-11 15:29
ive read most the manga and now skim the daily chapters - agree , although its probably because I like hina more,
Nayko2142026-01-11 16:06
For me it’s more like the MC is pathetic. Like dude. You’re hot, sporty, young, and extroverted. You have EVERYTHING a guy wants to get the girl and he’s just “Wah I’m too shy!” about it. Like sorry that whole dynamic just annoys me.
CBJfan032026-01-11 05:04
Peak is coming
Valuable-Clothes99042026-01-11 09:39
Hihihihi
thisisdropd2026-01-11 05:06
There’s a reason why the visuals have all been winter themed as well why the show’s set to start airing in autumn. Prepare for absolute cinema.
SupperTime2026-01-11 05:11
Loved season one... so so much... can't wait for Season two!
SakuraEve2026-01-11 05:11
Can’t wait I loved the way this story is progressing
Weak_Season_Of_Anime2026-01-11 05:16
Blue color scheme and somewhat box shaped. Visual checks out.
catarxcts2026-01-11 06:49
Box on the shoe rack isn't blue though SMH season might be a flop
3rdLastStand2026-01-12 00:17
Reminds me of the [blue shoebox](https://www.reddit.com/r/BlueBox/comments/1ja7ht3/jump_stores_in_tokyo_are_selling_a_blue_box/) that they sell as official merch
MusubiKazesaru2026-01-11 05:24
Is there any chance of S2 being good?
MillyMan1052026-01-11 05:31
Trust me S2 will blow S1 out of the water!
MusubiKazesaru2026-01-11 05:42
I think even a 4/10 would blow s1 out of the water, hopefully it's better than that.
MillyMan1052026-01-11 05:51
S1 is the build to the pay off in S2 to the point where you'll appreciate S1 a lot more after watching S2.
Lanky-Cod21592026-01-11 05:24
Season 1 was great
FrierenKingSimp2026-01-11 05:28
I really enjoyed season 1, a whole lot more than I’d expected to going in. Really excited that season 2 has been confirmed for later this year!
Strichnine2026-01-11 12:59
I was the opposite, it was hyped up, even won romance anime of the year. It was not as good as the hype and it was no where near as good as Dangers in my Heart (which season 2 was the same year)
Oleleplop2026-01-11 19:06
i agree that dangers in my heart is way better.
Blue box drags too much at times. It's a slow burn and it's kind of its thing so i get it and i like that the characters passion for their sport is not thrown away.
dangdanchuwaifu2026-01-11 05:30
LETS GOOOOOOO!!! Season 2 confirmed! 🔥🔥
MillyMan1052026-01-11 05:35
"Winter is coming" has a whole new meaning. I'm genuinely excited loved the 1st season and I'm excited to see Taiki's and Chinatsu again in season 2. Rom Com fans will be eating good when this drops!
bandannadann2026-01-11 05:40
We need justice for Hina
hifumeme2026-01-11 07:06
For real 😭
DrStein10102026-01-11 07:42
What justice? She [BB]>!is the winner by dodging bland-ass whitebread Taiki.!<
tripleaamin2026-01-11 16:04
I mean, Taiki isn't the most notable personality-wise. But I feel like he is plain, but in a good way. Tbh I like him much more than Natsu, who I have issues with her character.
StaryWolf2026-01-11 07:46
Hina numba one!
maliwanag07122026-01-11 10:30
Well, [Hina Manga spoilers. Don't read if you are not updated with the manga.]>!the latest chapters are just bad for Hina with what she did.!<
tripleaamin2026-01-11 16:02
Man, I was speechless reading those chapters.
ClemFire2026-01-11 19:49
Hina stole the show and to me she was the MC
Fuzzy_Coat2092026-01-11 05:44
RRRRRAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!
GtrsRE2026-01-11 05:55
Man Katorei's art is pure vibes
Raddish30302026-01-11 06:03
I wonder if I'll still like S2 after seeing what happened to my favorite character in S1
Prestigious-Sleep1392026-01-11 06:04
Cannot wait for season 2 been waiting too longggg T-T
AwesomeNino2026-01-11 06:45
I read the manga in the summer of last year, so I'm glad I don't have wait too long for the anime.
AwesomeNino2026-01-11 06:44
The person who made this did a great job in making such a great reference without spoiling anything for anime only folks. I can't wait for S2 it was from here Blue box became one of my favourite manga
duncandun2026-01-11 06:48
i'll never understand why it wasn't called green box
runevault2026-01-11 06:53
Adored season 1. Handled the mix of sports and romance well, allowed the characters to fail so they could grow, and generally just enjoy how the core group all interact with each other.
Also Haryu + Karen == winning.
Background_Fly7912026-01-11 06:53
This is a cool anime! To be honest, I can only count on my fingers a good romance (like Toradora or Kaguya-sama wa Kokurasetai)
runevault2026-01-11 06:57
If you like Blue Box you owe it to yourself to watch Fragrant Flower.
Background_Fly7912026-01-11 08:17
The Fragrant Flower Blooms with Dignity?
runevault2026-01-11 08:34
Yup that's the one.
LoveMeSomeBerserk2026-01-11 12:38
I didn’t like Blue Box or Fragrant Flower. They apologize every other line in that show which is a writing sin in my opinion. Sucks for me! I’m more of a Dangers in my Heart kinda guy. Loved that show.
AscendingRs2026-01-11 07:00
Please watch Dangers in My Heart. Cannot stress enough how great that series is
youravgindian2026-01-11 07:08
No matter what anyone says that how repetitive high school romance anime like these are, but for some reason, Blue Box stands out for me. It's on the same vein as Kaguya-sama, I will like the characters no matter what. They are just.. well written, even though the plot is sometimes predictable. Season 2 will blow everyone's mind because it gets better with genuine character progression
frezz2026-01-11 08:21
Just like shonen action anime, the plot beats are all usually very predictable. If the characters are solid that's usually enough
youravgindian2026-01-12 06:21
It's ironic because I can't enjoy shonen anymore. They all feel the same to me, lmao. I hope its just a burnout phase. I haven't watched a romcom in a while too. Last I watched was Dangers in my heart and it was good but I haven't watched since then.
ColdSteel1442026-01-11 08:23
I think people often overrate novelty and defying expectations and underrate simply executing a "standard" plot brilliantly. So many writers these days are always trying so hard to tell a new story with twists that they forget you actually **have to tell the story well**.
It doesn't really matter if we know generally how things are going to turn out if it's a fantastic ride along the way. ^^^^^^Life ^^^^^^before ^^^^^^death Journey before destination.
Fools_Requiem2026-01-11 15:58
When going through retro games, I've abandoned purely the idea of "originality" when looking at games with similar concepts or games in a series that made little changes from entry to entry. Instead of thinking "They made almost no changes from the previous entry" or "they did nothing to differentiate it from other games" like critics did, I think "How good is the game and does it play comparable or better than the others?"
Novelty is still fun to find, though. Always like finding random games that have novel concepts or visual styles or find interesting ways around system limitations.
Same goes with anime. I don't care if something is the 100th Isekai or 50th romcom in the past year, I care if the show is any good. If the characters are interesting does it *really* matter if it follows all the same beats as most other shows in its genre? I think not.
Xx420EdgeLord69xX2026-01-11 07:32
Anyone who's up to date on the source want to spoiler tag me an answer to whether or not there is any hope of a happy romantic pairing between Hina and someone else?
koteshima2nd2026-01-11 08:17
Christmas in romance always entails a major event. I'm hyped
JohanLiebheart2026-01-11 09:24
after what happened with Hina, i lost some interest in the show, but ill still watch it
zekken9082026-01-11 09:52
Nice , one of the few romance anime I actually enjoyed and managed to finish
No-Pen14892026-01-11 09:56
What anime is this again?
nakorurukami2026-01-12 00:19
The romance one, not to be confused with Blue Lock.
olo_maedos2026-01-11 09:59
The two trash cans looking like a cute couple (I see cuteness everywhere, okay?)
MakeMeCry_C2026-01-11 11:40
Lets goooo i just finished this the other day
Future_Meaning11092026-01-11 12:54
Has someone checked on Hina? Is she okay??
Fast-Loquat29672026-01-11 12:56
Can't wait to watch this soon ✨ season 2 is going to be peak considering that the next arc have many memorable scenes ❤️ the last time I was invested in a romance manga/anime was during the Skip and Loafer & Insomniacs After School days.
Fools_Requiem2026-01-11 16:02
Me: I wonder why/how I missed the first season of this show. It's highly rated in MAL.
[Goes to LiveChart to see where it streamed.]
Me: Oh... Netflix...
kumarharshit192026-01-11 19:36
I m very excited for this ..
Sea-Rhubarb-78632026-01-12 00:06
Fall 2026 feels so far away, but for this series, it's worth the wait. The winter vibe in the new visual is absolutely stunning
Illustrious_Arm_7322026-01-14 02:00
Can't wait to watch it
vexorian22026-01-16 14:26
For a second I misread it as Blue Period and I was so fucking excited. I think I am going to go be depressed now.
Infinite-Dark-43212026-01-17 23:58
One of the most visually pleasant animes there is.
