My Thooughts on The Banished Court Magician Aims To Become The Strongest

Welcome to another episode of giving us somewhat interesting ideas to trick us into thinking that the series will be better than it is but doing absolutely nothing substantial with them. The main plot isn't that unique idea by the way, it's just a generic, boring dude being exiled from his party because they think he's useless but he's actually really storng. NEVER heard that one before! The slight intrigue comes with the leader of the party he was kicked out of was the Prince of their kingdom,a nd while there is cliche aspects about him he does have an actual character arc, albeit not the best executed one but it's better than nothing. But that's it. And once the series gets passed the first half there's literally no more unique or interesting aspects of the plot. Every character is riddled with bad cliches and are uninteresting.

I hear you. Sometimes it makes me actually angry when a show doesnt even try to be anything other than pandering. Im not talking great and unique, but its like they dont even read the scripts theyre writing sometimes.

We have like 5 or 7 banished trope animes and they're all mediocre to garbage, what were you expecting?

The title is literally the most generic title I have ever seen. I watched until ep5 or 6 which was mildly interesting and had some standout characters like Loki. Ornest is also cool for being straightforwards and telling the MC to tell them about his past and trauma. The female characters were... eh. Even without watching the later episodes I knew that it wouldn't be any good. Most generic anime follow a pattern: a click-baity title that draws you in; then the first couple of not so bad episodes to keep you there; followed by all the generic crap that never changes. At that point the sunk cost fallacy clicks in and you watch the whole season. This anime is probably one of the better ones in that category tho.

So its another casual watch while we wait for another couple of good ones whenever they come, like all the isekai that mirror plots
