Hajime no Ippo

ZVXC_2026-01-11 09:10

I’ve been ignoring it because it’s old and people saying it’s unfinished

It's worth the watch, especially the Takamura fights. The anime is all self contained arcs.

Much like Berserk, the manga is there if you enjoy it.

I usually just watch recaps and then continue where I left off.

If you like martial arts check out Kenichi the mightiest disciple. Seeing the mc gradually learn and integrate different martial arts into his own fighting style was great. A recent zero to hero with good animation is "I got a cheat skill in another world and became unparalleled". The premise isn't groundbreaking but it's one of the few that allows the mc to interact with both a fantasy world and reality. Seeing how he uses his abilities in the real world was fun to watch.

Try Mushoku Tensei. Gurren Laggan. Mob psycho 100.

Competitive-Milk17202026-01-11 11:08

Mushoku Tensei can be a really shitty and disgusting anime to some sensitive people. So if you don't mind some extreme fanservice at times I would recommend.

ZDB8882026-01-11 18:58

Yeah for sure. But to be fair if it bothers them they’d know pretty much by episode 1 and can turn it off.

If you're interested in the main character proving everyone wrong, then you should check out wistoria wand and sword. It's like black clover where the mc can't use magic. It has 12 episodes, and season 2 releases in April.

ZVXC_2026-01-11 13:16

I’m looking for stuff like this dudeeeee if u got a list of them I’d appreciate it I started liking isekais that are like that

BurningFence2026-01-11 13:42

I got four for you.

Aoashi. Bit different because it's sports based, soccer. But the main character is really good at it, but just doesn't understand the basics. Which has him slowly learn how to play properly. But there are many times throughout the season where characters are amazed and it's worth it. If that's something you're interested in.

Haikyu!!. Another sports based anime, volleyball. The main character and another character develop this strategy for beating their opponents. And a lot of characters are in shock after seeing it for the first time. It's a really good anime.

Hero without a class: who even needs skills?!. If i remember correctly, the main character has the weakest class. But he can copy other people's skills and they're constantly amazed by it. I only made it up to episode 3 because it wasn't for me, but it might be for you.

Mashle: Magic and muscles. In this one, the main character can't use magic. Instead, he gets really strong and uses his muscles to get ahead. It's not like wistoria or black clover. The main character hides his lack of magic.

I know i went off-road with some of these suggestions, but these were all I could think of.

ZVXC_2026-01-11 13:44

Ngl I’m not into the sports part even though I love sports irl but the bottom two seem cool and mashle im keeping an eye on for a while

BurningFence2026-01-11 13:45

ZVXC_2026-01-11 13:56

Bleach
Mha I’m on s4 or 5 idk but imma rewatch since I forgot everything
One piece rn on ep 1100
Demon slayer
Jujustu Kaisen
Fire force

Isekai or zero to hero
Solo leveling this is a big one since it had me in a spiral looking for smth close to it
Lookism it was stupid ngl but I liked how he just glowed up and became stronger
Mushoku tensei this is a 10/10 for me
Oshi no ko is way different than the others but the reincarnation revenge stuff is so cool
I got a cheat skill
Am I actually the strongest

Slow-Management68502026-01-11 15:55

Zero to Hero:
* Initial D
* Fighting Spirit
* Haikyu!!

One-Knowledge-70722026-01-11 23:30

Two on the top of my head are Dororo and The Elusive Samurai. Both lean towards historical fiction, but they have beautiful fight scenes and are about the MC gradually uncovering their own strengths and fighting for their goals.

Uma-apreciator2026-01-16 02:33

Needs to have fighting scenes? Can be a sports anime?
