I want an anime that changes the way I see life
.. because I’m not just looking for entertainment. I want a story that makes me think deeply about human nature, choices, consequences, and the meaning of life. I want something that challenges my current way of thinking, shows different perspectives, and leaves a lasting impact on me even after it ends.

It's this childish world view that I hate stories for the most.
S1 as the title said at the end is literally just the prologue to the story. The real Vinland Saga and the themes it want to explore start from s2 onwards.
The movie _Colorful_ (2011), not talked enough, yet it hit me like a truck. About a teenager who commit suicide and gets a chance to be reincarnated in his own body.
Edit: _Colorful_ came out in 2010, not 2011. Thanks to the Redditor in the replies for correcting me.
Land of the lustrous, to learn about regret
It covers a lot of themes: love, betrayal, redemption, vergence, guilt, sacrifice.. it'll get you feeling everything: anger, emptiness, happiness, frustration, disgust, fear, relief, satisfaction
It's just a raw, unfiltered anime that depicts the absolute worst of humanity challenged by the peak of humanity's resolve & perseverance.
Legend of The Galactic Heroes - The idea of looking at things through different perspectives is the key theme throughout this anime. Lots of other areas covered too, literally dozens of phenomenally well-written characters with great development.
It's narrated in the style of a history documentary so there's lots of deep factual lore thrown in. 110 densely packed Philosophical & political eps is a serious commitment, but it's definitely a fun ride
