Which genre do you consider to be the easiest to access for beginners and which one is the worst?
I was thinking about series that are usually recommended for beginners and thought which genre could be summarised to be the best beginners friendly and the worst. In my opinion the best is action/adventure because many of the most recommended series are either action or adventure or mix of both. And for the least I would say comedy because Japanese humour is a little different and don't land if you are not accustomed to it I made that mistake where at the beginning of my journey with anime I watched huge amount of comedic Anime that I didn't like and only after rewatching them years later I find them funny. Which genre is the best and the worst in your opinion?

(Ik shounen isn't a genre but a demographic, i guess battle shounen would be the genre)

And that's how a lot of people feel about battle shounen. If I thought most anime were like DBZ and Naruto I wouldn't have gotten into the medium as an adult.
Worst: Ecchi
Worst for beginners is probably psychological, especially slow burns.
the series, I would never recommend it to a newbie
Worst: probably heavily philosophical anime like haibane renmei and monogatari series
So yeah it depends on person to person.
You better ask that person what kind genre they like, be it horror, action, romance, sport, comedy, etc
Someone who doesn’t like action stuff but enjoys cute and feel good stuff probably wouldn’t be interested strictly in battle shonen. They might like romance, romcom, and slice of life.
If someone doesn’t like horror or thriller then I wouldn’t recommend things like Another or Dark Gathering, or Kaya-chan isn’t scary.
I don’t like sports irl, so if I ever asked for recommendations, giving me sports anime suggestions isn’t the way to go. I don’t like mecha anything irl. So nothing mecha heavy like Gundam would be an appropriate recommendation.
However if I were to guesstimate:
Usually battle shonen is considered to be the easiest to get into for an average western person by most people.
Isekai sits more in the middle, because it is a very broad genre. Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear and Slime 300 are in the same genre as Overlord, Mushoku Tensei, Shield Hero and Konosuba for example, with large varying levels of accessibility to beginners.
Worst has a variety of contenders. Comedy (of the Japanese variety) and CGDCT definitely are pretty bad to start with, ecchi is a cointoss if they like fanservice or not.
