The Precure movies are certainly of highly varying quality, but the [Heartcatch movie](https://anilist.co/anime/9288/Heartcatch-Precure-Hana-no-Miyako-de-Fashion-Show-Desu-ka) is definitely one of the better ones in my mind. I ended up enjoying it more than the show it's based on.
THE TRAIN WILL GO TO THE NEXT STATION WITHOUT FAIL.
IF THE STAGE AND THE AUDIENCE WISH FOR IT, I AM ALREADY ON THE STAGE.
The show that got me memorizing every line of every Revue is back. The series that gets my adult ass squealing like a teen at the sight of a RevStar fan in public is back. I used to pray for times like this.
And this announcement hype is way bigger than I expected. 1 million views, 2000 quote tweets in just two hours, all from a fanbase with a cult following and an IP that’s been kept alive through stage plays.
The big question is, how they are even going to make a new character who can top Daiba Nana. Banana already hoarded all the aura points from every other strong girl in anime.
I'm looking forwards to the new cast they're gonna bring for this. I wonder if it's gonna have anyone from ReLIVE too, or if it's gonna be a whole fresh start.
[](#sadholo)
I wonder if its possible/allowed to have a pseudo-rewatch style discussion threads set up in its place or if anyone would be interested in something like that being done. Has that been done before?
I'd be down but the show is probably already pretty niche so not sure this would gain much momentum.
Alternatively, can whoever is interested in this, just agree to watch and post weekly in the existing episode threads that will get posted by the bot? Saves the effort of making an actual rewatch especially if only a few of us are interested in it anyway.
Paris is the city of ~~fashion~~ flowers.
Did you know Toei dubbed that film into French, screened it exactly once and [some TV show covered the event](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nu4pHSVvK5U). A goodie bag with that has a two sided poster and the other side was Yes! Precure 5. There was dubbing for that as two French voice actors have that show on their CV (one is for a "Naomi", a presumably localised name for Nozomi) but I guess Toei couldn't get any broadcasters interested. I speculate that is probably why they became part of Project Miraculous (ft. a transforming heroine) being credited as co-producers even if as far as Japanese animation goes there's only [a short concept animation](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FlwV3scCgAM) [0:49 - Kokoro Kyun-Kyun **(ep 46 of Idolcure does that ahoge thing)**](#seasonalsmug).

So, food for thought: [according to this article](https://cineuropa.org/en/newsdetail/484667/) on the “anime-fication” of Europe's animation industry, animation orders in North America and Europe fell by 39% and 25% respectively from 2022 to 2024, amidst a global contraction of the TV industry. Meanwhile Asia recorded a 26% increase, with Japan driving a 12% rise in animation output.
A pretty obvious conclusion from this data is that a lot of the recent growth of anime internationally has been not just from its own merits, but also from the contraction of American animation. If you think the current state of the anime industry isn't ideal, well, at least Japanese animators are *still employed*. I'm pretty sure at this point even storyboarding jobs in the American industry are being lost to Ireland & other places with tax credits. There is essentially nothing coming out of the west right now to compete with young people's attention- the only ongoing show that seems to have a chance at that is *Invincible*.
Bring back Saturday morning cartoons!
Hanakimi was eh. I like the blond guy and what's going on with him but that ML is such a bore and his actions aren't making a whole lot of sense (this could be on my half-dead brain tbf). I'll give it another episode but this one's on thin ice given how crowded Sundays are already.
Case Book of Arne took me by surprise. Went into it blind except for Sky's tip off that Uchiyama Kouki is in it. I was somewhat interested in it but the twist has me questioning what this one is really going to be like. I'll give it another episode or two. The amount of Uchi we get will be a big factor I'm thinking. I'm not too crazy about them being actual kids for the most part.
*Journal with Witch* and *Shiboyugi* are looking to be my favorites and I kinda expected that with *Journal with Witch* but not with *Shiboyugi*, that came out of nowhere.
I also unlocked a memory which was when I was watching *An Adventurer’s Daily Grind at Age 29* and I realized halfway that, "Wait I've read this manga but I've completely forgotten about it". I short of vaguely remember that [Daily grind at age 29 first episode twist]>!the succubus thing was handled okayish. I do remember that Hajime took Lilui to a brothel to consult a succubus and I want to say that it wasn't creepy but there is a possibility that I'm misremembering so don't blame me.!<
- **Hana-Kimi** — Heard one comparison to Vampire Dormitory and yep, I'm on board with that. But also what's going on with her to make that decision in the first place?
- **There was a Cute Girl in the Hero's Party, so I Tried Confessing to Her** — Similar kind of idea as MaoYuu but with a more generic isekai angle to start. The character faces regularly look off and it looks like they're applying a texture as a filter that's distracting to me. [Also] >!she couldn't hire an *S* rank adventurer but what about a D rank one since that's what he is currently? And if I was him I'd at least consider something like that as an angle to get closer to her, but nope stereotypical adventurer's life it is.!<
- **You Can't Be In a Rom-Com with Your Childhood Friends!** — [](#kyonfacepalm) This is the kind of show that would be five minutes long if the characters communicated with each other honestly instead of lampshading every stock romcom harem trope the author can think of while building the entire show out of them.
- **The Villainess Is Adored by the Prince of the Neighbor Kingdom** — Turns out I *will* inhale nearly any Narou-kei show out there no matter how bad the premise is as long as it's a villainess one, and this one's about as generic as it gets to start. I'd be curious to see how this subgenre came to be if anyone's done a deep dive on it.
- **The Holy Grail of Eris** — Another villainess setup, this one looks like it could be pretty fun with a contrast in the lead duo.
Same here. I actually cleared other shows off my Sunday schedule so I could keep it. It's so clichéd and done, but I'm so seated.
The people on TV Tropes say the villainess genre comes from the VN game Angelique, which always feature villainesses competing against the protagonist. (Villainesses are quite rare in VN games.) I'm not sure when someone first wrote a story starring the villainess, though.
In this case I meant ones that actually started as web novels there, since there are a good number that are manga first these days like *From Bureaucrat to Villainess*.
And yeah I have a general idea of how it started but would love to see someone do an examination of the evolution from otome games like Angelique to villainess leads and why we have a glut of those compared to series where the lead is the stereotypical heroine.
I guess the gender-flipped equivalent these days is "kicked out of the hero's party" (in terms of starting the story with the lead character's denouncement) but I'm also curious if that largely evolved from the villainess side or was done in parallel. All of that's the kind of thing that you could probably do an academic paper on.

Like, it's wild that she met her ex for dinner, and it wasn't all blushy or blatantly a setup for them to get back together. That's just so grown up for anime.
Sawashiro is also giving a far more naturalistic performance. She’s really good at voicing intense characters, but her Makio is so naturally awkward, she doesn’t seem like an anime character but like an actual person.
> That's just so grown up for anime.
Yea, what a breath of fresh air in the usual anime landscape. And not only is the story and dialogue fucking exquisit, the visuals, the voice acting, the music, every single piece of the puzzle is basically the very best we could have gotten. The stars truly aligned for this one.
I doubt anything else this year is going to challenge it for AOTY. It's the whole package.
It's not normal for anime in the least. I've seen a lot of anime, and I honestly can't think of a single other anime with such an adult female perspective. The medium basically never speaks to me this directly.
I recently watched this movie since Rie Matsumoto is the GOAT. It’s more like an extended episode, so the plot is familiar, but the direction makes it pop and Heartcatch overall is very enjoyable anyway so a solid film overall.
its not my usual type of song but god damn does it fit the vibe of torture princess so well. the dance is so cute. and I love how they manage to fit everyone into it
only downside is the song is called sunday morning but it airs on a monday night lol
The Polar Opposites and Ikoku Nikki OPs are absolutely wonderful.
i think it ended up being kind of catchy, but it is a shrill and discombobulating experience
Raise Your Flag from Iron Blooded Orphans has mediocre visuals and I hate the song.
Yuusha from Frieren also has mediocre visuals and I hate the song plus it doesn’t fit the series musically at all. Probably the OP I hate the most because it immediately follows Anytime Anywhere, which is absolute perfection. It kills the vibe, so it’s one of the very few OPs that makes me angry at its existence.
[](#cup6)
Another one is The Apothecary Diaries Season 1 OP. The song is fine if you hear it once in a while, but if you binge the show, you can’t help but hear the Hawaii Five O theme song and it becomes impossible to get out of your head. "Hana ni Natte" "Hana ni Natte" "Hana ni Natte."
Dungeon Meshi OP2 sucks because I hate the poppy Sumika. Bring back indie Sumika.
The *One Piece* Pirate Rap is fairly notorious for being… well let’s say “charming” in its own way, but is by any reasonable assertion, pretty bad. The German *Naruto* OP is somehow worse though, and if you can’t believe it, BELIEVE IT!
*So I’m a Spider, So What?* has not 1, but 2 OPs that are so bafflingly awful. It takes a lot to assault one’s senses as these OPs do, with some of the worst credit placement I have ever seen in any OP.
*Tower of God* OP 1 also royally fucks this up, by erratically editing in jump cuts to white text on a black screen throughout its animation. The actually animated bits are fine, but the way everything is stitched together is the kind of thing I can edit together in iMovie if you give me five minutes.
Now I get that’s kind of a controversial take, but I’ll do you one better. *Fire Force* OP 1 sucks ass. I think people see Mrs. GREEN APPLE and get giddy, but beyond that the OP just feels remarkably incompetent. The animation is solid, but doesn’t sync with the music at all, the editing is weird, and the whole tone of the piece is just off. It’s like they animated the whole thing for a different song or no song and then decided at the last minute to slap “Inferno” over it. It’s a textbook case of more production not necessarily meaning better production.
[](#sideeyes)
[](#takeoutthetrash)
[Niea_7](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B6zM_jcnkWA) intentionally bad maybe.
[](#annoyedkiki)
It starts out amazing. For like 4 seconds. Then it's just a montage of people running and looking concerned. All while this generic-cop show style ambient music plays. If they ended it after 4 seconds, it would be perfect.
The Dark History of the Reincarnated Villainess has an opening where I can follow what the logic must have been for it creatively but it totally doesn’t work at all.
Farmagia is a reportedly quite atrocious anime that appropriately has an abysmal OP that tells you exactly the quality level you can expect. Bonus demerits for possibly the worst anisong Asian Kung Fu Generation has ever done. They can in fact miss, I guess.
One older one that really sticks with me is the second opening of The Ancient Magus’ Bride. I don’t know if it’s even that bad but it is the only one of the four openings not done by JUNNA and the quality gap is insane. Skipped it every time after the first.
Similarly, the second Witch Watch OP is a massive downgrade but that being said it is definitely not bad in isolation, it just has the total misfortune of being compared to an OP with a YOASOBI song and direction by Megumi Ishitani. Coughing baby vs nuclear bomb situation
Re:Monster is unambiguously one of the worst OPs ever, without reservation
[](#notlistening)
(I think the first part is 10/10)
[](#schemingsaten)
[The OP](https://youtu.be/YcRYX8hwQ8Y) got a banger of a song, but [that ED](https://youtu.be/SrmET-l5P_4)… just wow! I already want to nominate it for next year’s Anime Awards.
I sure can’t wait for them to revisit Enel and [One Piece]>!his journey to the moon!<. They’d never *not* adapt the material related to that given that otherwise it’s kind of just a big cliffhanger, right? I mean this isn’t another GS Ball or Gen 5 Team Rocket situation… RIGHT?!

Anyway, I just finished Road to Berlin. I would say it’s the best World Witches series so far. It did a lot of the things I liked about previous seasons, but a bit better. Trude has always been one of the characters I like, but she really shone even more in this season. Unfortunately, it had the least funny E7, even though on paper it sounded even more ridiculous than the previous ones. \[Strike Witches: Road to Berlin\]>!The first OP of Strike Witches is very fitting for this season's final arc. Take a shot every time a character says something along the lines of “I want to do what I can”. This has always kinda been a recurring thing in the World Witches series, but it stood out even more here. And tbh, I hope the new season focuses more on discovering what the deal is with the Neuroi, and lets Yoshika’s desire not to kill a Neuroi that doesn’t attack her immediately play a bigger role. It is one of the most unique things about her, but it hasn’t really been relevant since the final arc of S1. !<
*Dududududududunduudu*
Although I agree that the show kinda stumbled its way through the final arc, I really loved it overall. It's such a consistently bittersweet show that has the best kind of teenage angst. Plus the jazz absolutely rules. Nothing cooler than jazz.
Say no more.

WATCH BOTH!
[](#slightoverreaction)
\- Shikimori's Not Just A Cutie (12 eps)
\- Insomniacs After School (13 eps)
\- Horimiya (main series + Missing Pieces, 26 eps)
If there's enough interest, I may do one series for Valentine's and another for White's Day in March.
Basically, count me in whichever one you finally choose.
Shikimori is a super sweet romcom with the main characters already being a couple from the start. It wasn't too popular around here when it was airing, but I saw a lot of people comparing it to Yano-kun last season (which I haven't seen).
I just realized Horimiya (the first season) is having its 5th anniversary this season too.
[](#kannathumbs)
And for Culling Games, I like it and wouldn't call it bad. But I also think the ending of the manga retroactively makes it worse.
* Polar Opposites - Premise seemed unassuming, this gyaru likes a typical nerdy quiet guy because…reasons, who would have guessed. First minutes weren’t doing a lot but the second half? Ok, now I’m totally sold on this, this was really fun. I can see the first half being intentionally awkward but once Chadrick Basedman guy went for it I was like ‘oooooooooooooh’. Then Suzuki becoming a whole mess just thinking of interacting with Tani, absolutely pathetic, she’s fucking stupid, I love her. [And ofc,]>!holy shit, first episode confession let’s gooooo. I was already surprised Suzuki admitted to it to her friends but confession really took me off guard.!< With this in consideration and what I picked from the OP, it seems to be a multi-ship show? Either way, I’m in. And talking of OP, both OP and ED cooked hard with their visuals. And visuals all throughout were really good, fun expressivity and generally nice aesthetic. Another top contender to the list.
* Moonlit Dusk - You have a girl that feels unwanted, finds that the hottest guy of all time loves her, you got the rose filters, corny dialogue, the constant invasion of the woman’s personal space. Yeah boys, it's shoujo in its classical form. The FMC is a ‘girl prince’ that feels tired of her reputation but here comes Itsuomi from Yubisaki to Renren who feels attracted to who she is. It's a perfectly decent shoujo, good duo and neat directing, I will keep it.
* Kaya-chan - Man that has only seen one episode of Dark Gathering getting Dark Gathering vibes from this. Kindergarten girl can see ghosts and kill them but she’s scawy to literally everyone else. Inoffensive but tad boring, looks unlikely to be a keep.
I will give Golden Wind a chance but it is gonna be on a pretty short leash. Way too many episodes to give something with so much lazy filler level writing.
1. **Polar Opposites** (10/10) - Not sure if this will be my actual show of the season, but first episode in a vacuum is a perfect first anime episode that subverts the some of the typical romcom formula stuff, whilst also keeping intact the things that make shonen romance lovable. The character animation is really good and stylized and the production overall is just top notch.
2. **Journal with Witch** (10/10) - This isn't flashy like my #1, but it feels like there's a lot of space for deeper themes here as it takes a more nuanced approach to loss of family members. Visuals and soundtrack are really good.
3. **Tamon's B Side** (9/10) - This one was a huge shocker. Usually, even JC Staff's *solid* shows still feel like they are missing a certain level of fluidity (best way I can describe it), but this one had genuinely fantastic production. Some people were comparing it to Bocchi, but really, it is its own completely different thing, and I really loved the characters. Only thing is that the pacing was a bit fast for my preferences.
4. **The Invisible Man and His Soon-to-Be Wife** (9/10) - This one is pretty simple and basic, but I really like the premise, the world, and the character archetypes. Imo it looks really good too so even though it's not going to be super memorable, it's really fun to watch. Really perfect fluff.
5. **Sentenced to be a Hero** (9/10) - Production was obviously incredible and the music is so good. Not as memorable in terms of story since it's basically just all action but we love that. (when it's done well)
For a season where all the hype is on the sequels mostly, this is a great batch of new shows.

Don’t act like they won’t. They already did it to magical girls after *Madoka*.
She’d rather sleep instead.
Like, I do like the story, but you do at some point have to ask if maybe the story is better suited for live-action dramas when the adaptation doesn’t seem to really leverage any of the unique traits to animation that would justify animating it.
The ultimate issue is that it doesn’t visually do anything that I couldn’t also get from a live-action adaptation. The character and color design is fairly plain and the animation itself is minimal at best. There’s very little to any moments where it feels it is using its visuals to enhance the story instead of just telling it.
And that’s perfectly serviceable, I am enjoying the show after all. However, much like any number of other shows I’ve pointed to having similar issues, I ask what was the point of animating it then? If you’re gonna have a story whose core appeal is the strength of the characters, dialogue, and acting, why would you adapt it into a medium notorious for how difficult it is to get across the kind of subtle acting that would better enhance the story? Why make it anime?
The first two examples that come to mind (*Doukyuusei* and *The Colors Within*) are maybe not the best example as they're movies, but I'd offer the counterpoint that there's a reason they're movies and its to enable the kind of production these works almost require. On TV, you pick on any number of KyoAni or Naoko Yamada works for this. There's not a lot, but I think that has a lot to do with producers seeing this as a genre that is easy to make for cheap. TV tends to be a little more "expressive" in other ways, and depending on the level you're willing to let into your work you can easily find your way over to *Do It Yourself* or *Skip and Loafer* that are a little (lot) different in the stories they're telling, but get the general idea across.
>What about Josei and Shojo series make you single them out in particular as opposed raising this point about drama anime or even anime in general?
I mean in all fairness, I have criticized a ton of other productions for having similar issues, and usually only bring it up when I do like the story behind it and want it to be better. I've said similar things about series like *Vinland Saga* and *Orb.* I'm an equal opportunity critic.
I singled out those two mostly because those are the two where the conversation of "why aren't these animated more often" is most prevalent. I also think they're uniquely posed to run into this issue more often than others as they tend to cover material that would be easy to cover in live-action. You'd have a tough time arguing that *Demon Slayer* or many other Shounen anime would more easily translate to live-action, and even a lot of Shounen drama and romances tend to be a little more bombastic and energized in such a way that doesn't translate as well to live-action without some... corny results. In all fairness, Shojo and Josei can also do these things, and they work fairly well when they do. *Natsume's Book of Friends* and *Polar Bear Cafe* lean more into the fantastical and *Kimi ni Todoke* takes a little more expressive approach, but I can also recognize that not every series does or should go in that direction.
Now let's take Doukyuusei as a comparison, what were some scenes we could take a look at as examples of the kind of expressive cinematography and animation that realized its artistic vision? And if we were to compare those to Ikoku Nikki could we identify what the latter lacked?
>I singled out those two mostly because those are the two where the conversation of "why aren't these animated more often" is most prevalent. I also think they're uniquely posed to run into this issue more often than others as they tend to cover material that would be easy to cover in live-action. There's a slight implication here that there's a degree of mutual exclusivity in live-action versus animated adaptations and decisions on adaptations are made with consideration to which genres suit which medium more. I think there are more than enough examples of shounen, shoujo, seinen, and josei titles getting both live action and animated adaptations to call this into question. Furthermore, in the context of the "why aren't these animated more often" discussion, these are decisions made by publishing companies and various large corporate sponsors. How much these decision makers weigh the artistic merits of different mediums isn't something we can surmise with certainty, but I think we can posit that profitability and marketing are among their top priorities. So while I don't think there's an issue in examining how adaptations can fail to bring out the best of its medium in general, singling out shojosei via this context is the wrong avenue to approach from.
There is also the presumption of shojo and josei series being less fantastical and more easily translated to live action, but as you've already named a couple of counterexamples and I and others could name countless more it's better we avoid falling back on old stereotypes. What is a more interesting discussion is how more realistic, down to earth stories can still be presented with visual expressiveness that make use of the strengths of its medium, and I think comparing and contrasting specific examples from Ikoku Nikki, Doukyuusei, DIY, and other shows you've mentioned would be a good way of doing so.
Not really. Like, Marvel movies are the same as many battle shounen on a lot of levels. There are differences, of course, but it's the same sort of bombastic and cheesy superpower filled world. They clearly demonstrate that these sorts of stories can be adapted into a massively successful live action franchise.
The easy answer to this is that it's too long for a satisfying movie adaptation, but Asa's imagination segments would look like ass with TV budget CGI or physical effects.
You've seen K-On, right? Its core appeal is the strength of the characters, dialogue, and acting. They draw you in; they make you feel the characters and their relationships with each other. It's full of interesting shots that help us understand the girls' internal state, both their individual emotions and how they feel about their bond. Some of these shots are metaphor, sure, but many—I'd easily say the majority—are shots of the girls themselves going about their life. It's told through their faces, their arms, their legs, how they lean, &c.
Eh, I'll take them being licensed, simulsubbed and hence watchable as seasonal anime over the live action treatment, thanks.
Don't know how live-action is treated? There's a film version of Ikoku Nikki (wonder how they handled Asa's imagination), justwatch tells me to head to Japan or South Korea (and idk if that has English subs, doubt it). Let's go to last season and Plus-sized Misadventures in Love the live action version is watchable on Viki (so volunteer translated under a creative commons license, basically legal fansubs, consumable but wasn't on the "an hour after Japan" timescale but as it was a 2022 show it was done before the anime was out). Did you see what I did there, having a live action version doesn't rule out an anime (and vice versa if anyone remembers Princess Jellyfish).
For me anyway, I kinda stopped differentiating as much. Setting budget aside, you could in theory just make anything into different mediums - be it live action, 3DCG animation, maybe Western style vs Japanese style etc. etc.
Maybe these aren't reasons that might satisfy you, but manga and anime being closely related is often enough to justify a manga having an anime adaptation instead of a live action one. Though in this case it does have a live action one. An anime like this without the need for complicated shots might also be cheaper to produce than an anime. It does have a live action film adaptation though.
Sometimes people might just prefer watching something animated, even if the subject matter ends up being the same. I'm definitely leaning towards here, I don't quite like watching real people as much.
Also as someone who has consumed anime/manga as my main source of entertainment for over two decades, I'd go mad if all anime had to be 'anime-like'. Shojosei stuff, drama-like stuff, I can find a place for them in my life. I've watched and enjoyed plenty of un-anime animes, like The Great Passage and Bartender - which I believe also have live-action adaptations. Watching something more down to earth can be a nice pace from like flashy battles and stuff.
Between the vampire show looking like a mid 2000s Q-TEC BD and Chitose getting delayed - where did it all go so wrong for studio feel. last season?
[](#ama)
- Q-tec is a company that promised an extremely advanced upscaling algorithm for SD anime back in the day, but it ended up looking like ass in a lot of ways.
Due to this, "Q-tec'd" is somewhat of a meme in the community for when a show is mastered terribly for whatever reason. This does not apply when a show looks like ass because the streaming company's encode looks terrible (usually because they want to lower the bitrate and thus bandwidth required to stream it).
---
Anyway, back on vampire-chan
This show has some extremely bad aliasing issues, hence -> q-tec'd.

This is sort of where I landed after my feelings for the series cooled down a bit: a by the numbers adaptation for an average light novel of the time.
The difference in S1 imo is mostly down to Brain's Base having a bit of a fire in their belly in the late 2000s/early 2010s.
Not at risk of being dropped for now.

She is by far the biggest dumbass of the cast so far and you kinda just have to force yourself to roll with it
Mizuki: Wait, I was supposed to plan ahead? I honestly didn't think I'd make it this far.
Doctor: Alright, I will allow you to keep failgirling because honestly LMAO.
[](#mugistronk)
Which is for the best because Mizuki would not survive that comparison.

I wouldn't say you have to outright avoid it, but it's definitely not high priority if you have other things you want to do or watch.
So maybe the anime having low budget is just going back to its roots.
Finished A Star Brighter Than the Sun. The main couple were cute, but so fucking frustrating. This show should've been wrapped up in 3-4 episodes, but the leads just kept talking past each other when it was clear what they were saying. Sui and Mio are top-tier friends, but [poor] >!Ayukawa!<. Unrequited and he knew it, which just made it hit harder. I'm glad they didn't try an unnecessary "misunderstanding" situation at the end, and just let the characters be.
...but it spends like 50% of the runtime in shojo hyper insecurity monologues and that's not good storytelling. There's no drama.
It especially compares poorly next to We are Polar Opposites which worked through that whole season of TV in 22 minutes lol
A credible leaker *did* say a second season is planned, but as always it's better to just take those kind of things with a grain of salt no matter the leaker's track record
Anyway the anime isn't a complete adaptation of the manga... yet. And I believe there will be more anime.
The manga recently ended though.

I’m more talking about the mysteries tone and setting. I am not asking for bl reccomendations (clarifying because last time I asked something like this people were reccomending stuff like link clink and yuri on ice. It’s fine if it’s a BL but I’m not usually interested in romances unless they are on the quality level of something like the ancient magus bride or heavens offical blessing.)

But I'm not one for conspiracy theories.
