Any anime recommendations that are like the TV show 'Lost'?

So, Lost is one of my favorite TV shows of all time, and I'm always trying to find other shows that can fill the void it left after I finished it. So, is there an anime out there that has a similar blend of an ensemble cast, great character development, an overarching mystery over what's going on, and (this part's just a personal preference) protagonists who don't have superhuman strengths or abilities?

Aside from that last bit, Shadows House is a good option

Sonny Boy is kind of a reality bender but it's a good option

Shinsekai Yori is excellent but also has powers, but for a good reason

Summertime rendering for some reason

Hard agree

This is the one

Sonny Boy but it does have some super power type stuff in it. Crazy ass show though.

There's also Hell's Paradise but it's more standard shounen with powers and stuff

Dr Stone uses science to tackle all their problems, but it gets kinda ridiculous so it feels like super powers sometimes. It's not a super serious show in general but it gets better as it goes on imo

Made in Abyss is a trip. I can't really explain this one but it's very much worth watching

- Haibane Renmei
- Shuumatsu Train Doko e Iku?
- Mujin Wakusei Survive

Take all these with a big grain of salt, as I never finished Lost, and most of them involve at least one character with super abilities:

The summer Hikaru died

Made in abyss

Orb: On the Movements of the earth

Summertime Rendering

I feel like Parasyte: The Maxim and Hell's Paradise also fit that sense of mystery, wonder and discovery early Lost had.

Kokkoku... Characters get powers but it's still a grounded show about a group of people separated from the rest of the world and with strange entities about.

Maybe not quite it but try Baccano!

Steins;Gate for sure. Lost was actually my favorite TV show when I discovered Steins;Gate. Just be warned, some people don't get hooked until a certain thing happens halfway through and shit gets real. Then they get double super hooked. And upon rewatch, the first half is different because of the shit that happens later.

Sonny Boy, it is much more psicodelical and metaphoric but is about people lost in a strange island.
You have also Kanata no Astra, this one is about space travels but it's alsl about being lost and solving a mistery.
Summertime Render is about an isolated town in an island in which happens strange things, not exactly the same but pretty good anyways.
Mayoiga is about a group of people lost in a paranormal mountain, the ending was a bit dissapointing but is the most Lost-like one i'd say.

Durarara is layers of mysteries, with dozens of unique and interesting characters with their own plot lines that intersect in cool and surprising ways

One Piece has been filling that hole for me since Lost ended, but it obviously doesn't fit your last point.

Fruits Basket is the anime that most gave me the emotions that I had while watching LOST. The plots are very different, there is no crashing on an island but there is a slight supernatural bent to it (certain characters are cursed to transform into an animal when embraced by a member of the opposite sex). Both are ultimately stories that are about getting you to really emotionally connect with a group of characters. I can't think of any other anime I've seen (being nearly at 400 now) that gave me such similar feelings to what I had when I watched LOST.
