Should I watch frieren or jujutsu kaisen?

I've been looking to start a new series lately and have chosen to either watch frieren (bc peak) or jujutsu kaisen, people in my local area are all watching jujutsu.

Frieren has higher ratings, but I want to know which is more peak

my favourites are: death note vinland saga and fullmetell alchemist brotherhood.

Considering the way you are talking, jujutsu probably suits you better. Frieren is a slow and melancholic show. Not the "more peak" style of stuff.

They are both excellent anime, based on your comment about people in your area watching JJK, you could watch JJK so you can join the hype train.

I'd say Frieren. JK is kinda esoteric and also there are many more episodes of it so getting through the anime is the investment. Frieren can be knocked out over a few days.

Frieren is a tale of the existential dread of someone who is functionally immortal watching all of those around her grow old and die, interspersed with great fight scenes.

JJK is a series of *legendary* fight scenes with the story being just servicable, taking a back seat to the action. This isn't a bad thing by any means.

They're both definitely worth watching, but it comes down to if youre looking for an emotional time or a bombastic time.

Frieren is only one season (second season coming out) and there's no underlying story so it's quicker to finish. JJK is just starting Season 3 so I'd recommend waiting till it's over to binge the whole thing.

Oh man I wish I could watch them both again for the first time. They're both good. JJK is really fun and entertaining but Frieren is a masterpiece. IMO best anime released of the last 10 years.

I highly recommend both!

JJK has more typical shonen vibes, lots of fights with great choreography, animation and a cool power system. The narrative is one of the strongest in shonen atm, so it’s not just a slug fest. It’s morally grey framing and how it uses that to develop its characters is a particular highlight imo. Low 9/10.

Frieren is fantasy adventure vibes. Tight cohesive themes. Great characters (Frieren in particular stands out. Her theme of time and how it can slip away is FANTASTIC) and every couple episodes you’ll get some of the most beautifully animated action scenes you’ve ever layed eyes on. High 9/10.

Both are good. YK Code Geass and Hunter Hunter are also good. Bleach takes the vintage cake.

Both? Frieren is pretty slow but hood quality stuff. Kaisen is faster paced and also good. It depends on what you like. For me Frieren at the start was too slow, but I kept going and liked it pretty well in the end.

Seeing as "peak" is a word that unintentionally describes being both enthusiastic and incredibly vague when communicating, you'd probably like JJK more.

That said, if you want to get high on feeling superior to others, lots of "Frieren" fans love putting others down and labelling them as being too young to appreciate "fine art" (as if Frieren were either Picasso or some avant garde indie film).

I'm a big Frieren fan because I really like the comic relief in Frieren, so I'd recommend Frieren.

If you want an honest impression of JJK. It caters to young teenagers while offering no meaningful characterization, just edgy rule of cool, a dull power system, and nobody talks about the comic relief (because it's pretty lukewarm). If you like flamboyant action without substance, JJk is your go-to.

I'm still procrastinating on watching the most recent JJK season/movie.

Frieren is a jack of all trades and very enjoyable, but the 4-episode prologue can deflect skeptical newcomers.

I opened my mouth and all that came out was poison. I must be so bored right now.
