Hi SEAf_Girl, it seems like you might be looking for new anime to watch!

The users of this subreddit came up with [a chart of anime recommendations for newcomers and veterans](https://i.redd.it/0w1v880jtq661.png) and [an awesome longer flowchart](https://i.redd.it/vdzlkodz19c71.png). Maybe you can find something there that you'll like \^.\^

You might also find our [Recommendation Wiki](https://www.reddit.com/r/anime/wiki/recommendations) or [daily thread](/r/anime/search?q=flair%3Adaily&restrict_sr=on&sort=new&t=week) helpful.

Local_Pickle_47172026-01-12 21:10

Replace it with the original Macross series followed by Do You Remember Love? then

SliderGamer552026-01-12 21:04

Props to having interesting taste and/or largely avoiding the most obvious anime possible to watch.

SEAf_Girl2026-01-12 21:08

I always try to sway away from popular animes, but some like Death Note really peaked my interest and I had to watch it

The_Best_Man1242026-01-12 21:09

I’ll give a few recommendations.

Vinland Saga: My personal favorite anime, but also one that doesn’t require much anime knowledge to love.

Beastars: Maybe not everyone’s cup of tea, but I adore this anime.

FMAB: I personally found the ending bad, but it’s a crowd pleaser. Also just has plenty of excellent moments.

One Punch Man: The ultimate gateway anime. Season 1’s animation is truly next level.

Solo Leveling: Kind of like JJK in the sense that it’s carried by animation. Still, the story is pretty good.

JJK: The animation is obviously next level, but JJK’s power system is really great. Story can be kind of generic, but there are genuinely great story beats and characters.

Saiki K: One of the best comedy anime I’ve seen.

One Piece: If you have a lot of time on your hands and can push through a fair bit of trash, you’ll get to one of the richest stories ever told. Marineford is in the conversation for best arc of all time.

Your Name: I don’t want to spoil even a single thing. If you like romance and you like to cry, watch Your Name.

SEAf_Girl2026-01-12 21:15

Thanks for the recommendations mate! Im not sure about one piece, it's too long for my taste, I rather have a anime be done in one season than stretch out far too long

The_Best_Man1242026-01-12 21:16

Totally fair. I’m bad at starting new shows, so I love a good 12 episode season.

MildCorneaDamage2026-01-13 00:13

Saiki k is one ive rewatched a few times, always a fun and ridiculous time

-Reflex-142026-01-12 21:13

Rascal does not dream series, Alya sometimes hides her feelings in Russian, solo leveling, attack on titan, jujutsu kaisen, more than a married couple but not lovers.

Feeling-Echo-44542026-01-12 21:15

Cowboy bebop, samurai champloo, Gurren Laggan, terror in resonance added bonus all of these are under 26 episodes and one of them is only 11

SEAf_Girl2026-01-12 21:16

Thanks for the names mate! I forgot terror in resonance, I loved it, I need to rewatch it again

Karki_Roshan2026-01-12 21:27

You should try Frieren,

Season 2 will be starting soon so it's the best time to watch it.
