good romantic but action packed animes?
as much as i LOVEEE a cutsy romantic anime that makes me wish i had something like it in real life, i feel like the animes that REALLY catch my attention are those that have a romantic sub-plot because its so refreshing seeing character development and world building along with a mysterious, action packed, seat gripping story line in an anime and i feel like a lot of romance centered animes don't always have that (not all ofc but some)
ive watched both yona of the dawn (SO EXCITED FOR S2) and apothecary diaries and LOVEDDDD them so much but im struggling finding more good animes like yona of the dawn lol

Chivalry of a Failed Knight sadly only got one season, but the light novels continue to a conclusion. Over ten years later there are still a lot of us out there who love the Stella x Ikki pairing, and like SAO the couple actually gets together for realsies without 200 episodes to get to them holding hands. And the fights are legit.
Another show some people love to hate, Solo Leveling, should be getting into some romance really nicely in the next season. The action in this show is some of the best there is.
Obligatory Re:Zero plug because it has action and romance and it's fucking awesome. It's just that it's kind of more of a psychological thriller than anything else. Some people might dispute the romance point but the love story(s) are kind of the crux of the whole franchise.
World's finest Assassin kind of leans into both to an extent, but it's a wee bit harem-driven as well, even though there's a clear main girl in the story.
Same goes for High School DxD, kind of the king of all pervy shows IMO. Boundless amounts of boob shots and the MC has a large harem of women who want to have his babies, but like the previous mention there is one clear main girl and the show's plot is kind of famous for being the gold standard among ecchi shows.
Mushoku Tensei is incredible. It's just that the MC is an awful (pedo) scumbag for a good deal of the early part of the story before he starts to change into an actual tolerable human being. But the animation and storytelling are S-tier, and the relationships with his ladies (yes plural) are actually pretty heartwarming once you think about what each of them have done to help each other get past some terrible difficulties they've gone through.
I'm sure I'll get yelled at for mentioning a few 'cool to hate' shows but whatever, I didn't write them. Though I did enjoy them.
Godannar marriage of god and soul
Otherwise you have Grancest war/Lodoss war which are pretty good but romance subplots vary
Mobuseka/evil Lord of a galactic empire have romance, are low budget animes. But I'd say they're pretty fun
Berserk 96 version has a romance sub plot, but it's berserk
Castlevania has romance throughout it to varying degrees
Cyberpunk if you haven't checked it out yet is definitely worth the watch too
One of the best couples
Spy x family
The Vision of Escaflowne
Undead unluck
Magi, Re:zero, SAO, Danmachi
