is gachiakuta worth watching?

i started getting a lot of clips of this anime on my feed and it looks very well written. i also really like the style. is the story compelling? and also, are female characters well written? i saw amo’s backstory and it really resonated with me. i wondered if other female characters are the same. thanks!

well, it wasnt exactly the same as her but i was raped as a child. from the clip ive seen the way she processes her trauma is very realistic to the real experience.

Every single character in this show is an absolute clusterfuck of trauma and horrible shit. 'Resonating' with any one of them is a BIG fucking red flag.

If you are the type to watch battle shonen I would say it’s above average, but nothing special. If battle shonen isn’t really your thing you will enjoy it less

It’s got an Interesting premise and power system, and good animation, but I don’t think it does anything exceptional. A great watch if you’ve enjoyed other battle shonen, looking forward to season 2 personally

The mangaka is a woman, so she should be decent at writing women, and the female characters that are shown are written pretty well. That said, outside of Amo there hasn't been any deep dives into the female cast in the 1st season.

I finished the first season, and I don't think it's a noteworthy anime. That said, if you're so interested in it then why don't you try it and see whether or not you like it?

I don't think it's well written. It has some decent female characters, including Amo I like one more of them more than most of the rest of the cast.

I think it fell flat for me on the whole. It had a few decent eps with Amo, one pretty amusing episode early on, and a solid first episode, but the rest didn't land and that's most of its two cour run.

It’s a show that mainly focuses on fights and has a great visual style. I definitely recommend it. And it has a great theme song by Mori Calliope too.

I hope that Amo is alright.

the visuals are definitely a very important part of any anime for me so im glad that its staffed in that department. i enjoy fights too

It’s good fun. Interesting art direction and the characters are pretty fun and colourful. Not much else you can ask from a Shonen tbh

Out of the women characters, Amo is the only one who gets much depth, but the rest of the women seem pretty cool on first impressions.

I’d at least recommend giving it 3 episodes worth of your time before deciding for yourself!
