Please help me find an Anime I watched 21 years ago
I know this one will be difficult but I'm hoping for some swarm intelligence.
For context: We visited my aunt in Italy (2005) and she had this VHS laying around, she put on for me. The VHS was obviously in italian, (I don't speak italian) but my 5 year old self didn't mind.
I remember it being some sort of Mecha Anime and the teaser for a next episode were some dogs (maybe mecha-dogs?) trying to get through a door into a room or cockpit. I think there also was some fire, could also be red light flashing.
Sadly I don't remember anything about the plot, I didn't even understand what they were saying.
For me this is that one memory, way back in the depths of my mind. Projecting to my inner eye, every couple of months, getting blurrier each time. I really am interested, what I watched and would love to rewatch this literal core-memory I don't even fully recall.
TLDR; Mecha-Anime pre 2006, published on VHS in italy. (Mecha?)-Dogs trying to get through a door into a room or cockpit. Red light (might be fire) in this scene.
