Legend of Crimson movie was fine, but I honestly prefer anime episodes instead of a movie. Because episodes are released on a schedule and english translations follow quickly. But if it was a movie, if it doesn't show in your area, then you have to wait a while for BD/DVD release with subsequent TLs.
Iirc Season 3 covered LN volumes 6 and 7? Then hopefully S4 covers at least LN volumes 8 and 9, though honestly I look forward to LN vol 10.
This series is completed at 17 LN volumes, so there's probably content for 4 more seasons (if 2 LN/sesson), or about 3 (if 3 LN/season).
*I have not mentioned what goes on in those volumes, so i believe there's no spoiler for anime-onlies here.

Yeah, the build up was very meaningful in the LN, with Kazuma failing after failing.
He died like a clown in the battle while the girls became war heroes. All the nobles were calling him a fraud and a joke. Claire shat on him, told him the girls would leave him to join Mitusrugi because he was useless and a fraud, before telling him to piss off.
He goes to cry in his room and is legitimately depressed, reflecting on all of this, doubting himself and scared that his party would leave him.
Chris then invites him to so the raid and he performs incredibly well, showing his full potential in a fun thriller sort of action scene that ends with him almost assassinating Mitsurugi with an epic savage combo.
Meanwhile in the LN there was no drama for Kazuma, everything was played as a joke or cut, and the raid was lackluster, with a much less serious tone. Kazuma suddenly became Vanir for whatever reason, the fight with Mitsurugi was censored and played for laughs, and that was it. Truly sad.

I'm kind of baffled by some of the other responses to this comment to be honest; do you people not realize that the author of Konosuba is close friends with many other isekai authors and that the point of the series isn't to mock a genre that the author hates but to endearingly parody one he enjoys? If you are watching Konosuba because "ha, this series is really sticking it to that genre I dislike!" then you are literally watching it incorrectly and fundamentally misunderstand what it is.
Despite how unserious and comedic it is and how it parodies genre staples, Konosuba is completely 100% sincere in depicting its world and characters and is very clearly created by someone who unironically loves isekai 'slop.' It isn't a spite-driven series.

True. At the cost of animators schedules, obviously worse animation and overall less quality anime as the result. Because I don't think this IP as much as I love it is the highest priority for everyone participating on it. Same people also work all the time on other projects. Hell, studio Bind was made firstly for Mushoku Tensei and they still "take detours", they don't just pump out the same thing till it's done. It never works like that in this industry I think.

Meanwhile in the LN there was no drama for Kazuma, everything was played as a joke or cut, and the raid was lackluster, with a much less serious tone. Kazuma suddenly became Vanir for whatever reason, the fight with Mitsurugi was censored and played for laughs, and that was it. Truly sad.
Tbh other comedy isekai is "slop" Looking. Meanwhile konosuba despite not grand looking like mushoku or re zero its having charm and passionate project looking.
Also they're know how to spend budget for important timing.
Season 1 is always be the biggest budget tho since they got time and everything.
I'm gonna disagree with that. Since the very first season animators know what they're doing, you've got sakuga moments all the time and artstyle is great. I don't remember any bad CG too. Unless you're one of these clowns who took screenshots in middle of animations and say the stills looks bad lol (think "infamous" Pain stills from Naruto)
Despite how unserious and comedic it is and how it parodies genre staples, Konosuba is completely 100% sincere in depicting its world and characters and is very clearly created by someone who unironically loves isekai 'slop.' It isn't a spite-driven series.
There are many things they don't understand about Konosuba, and they have a wrong, and very shallow understanding of some of their characters, especially Aqua.
It's very hard to find anime fans who understand her character, which is surprising because it isn't like she's a deep character or Konosuba is a deep anime.

We still have a long way to go, but I hope we can get a complete adaptation someday.

Season 4: volume 8-9 (speculation based on trend)
So with 17 volumes of the main story, we'd have enough content for another 4 seasons after season 4.
Nah, I'm good. I would rather wait. It's not like we don't have great (isekai) anime airing all the time.
Though this will cover what I consider the best volume, 9, out of all volumes.
