Good on them for not botching it. That *shouldn't* be praise-worthy, but I've seen awful examples in the past :P
I wonder why they made it Neuntöte instead of Neuntöter. I think it might be deliberate, as this word is very specific. There might be even a lot of Germans who don't know what a Neuntöter is. That change is odd, but not unseen in real German family names.
My guess for why they made it Neuntöte instead of Neuntöter is that r is harder to pronounce for native Japanese speakers. In One Piece for example the main character is named Luffy all over the world, exept in Germany, where they probably got the sound version of the name before the script and named im Ruffy.
The katakana is as you would spell Neuntöter, not Neuntöte, and so is the pronunciation of the Japanese voice actors.
I do appreciate CR's German subs for correcting this obvious mistake.
Wonder if he's been killing people and taking their body parts, to make some sorta like homunculus / zombie replacement of his late wife?
Makes me wonder what that monster was prowling the streets earlier. Maybe Mr. Reinweiß is like Dr. Frankenstein?
Making monsters in hopes of reviving his wife?

> Aw, her dad did not take her mom’s death well…
So bad in fact that he aged twice as fast as everyone else since then looking at the short flashback that we got,.
Supernatural detectives is a good enough draw. This should fill the gap left by the lack of a second season of Undead Murder Farce.
Crunchyroll needs to change their summary and promotional image. Louis should NOT be front and center.
Edit: Dad is attempting necromancy. We were introduced to a stitched up woman capable of necromancy. I wonder if the person the dad is attempting to revive becomes her. The rose colored hair, and her seemingly undying love for Lynn, and the fact that Lynn's mother is named "Rose" kinda suggests this.
Spoiling the protagonist fake out by changing summary and promotional images doesn't remotely make sense.
I especially don't understand the point you made in another comment that it's confusing because Louis ≠ Arne. Why would that ever be confusing?
Show: "This character is actually called Louis Hartmann"
Me: "Oh now I wonder who this Arne will be"
Where is the confusion here?
I liked the twist, as did many others in the first Episode discussion thread. Saying crunchyroll should change it and rob others of that because you thought the twist was stupid is almost petty in its egotism.
God forbid a show does something different for once and the creators have some fun messing with first time viewers who don't know the game.
Edit: They spoil it in the OP and the restaurant scene right after. There was no surprise.
Lynn is surprisingly deranged.
For some reason this shows gives me Disgaea vibes
huh, i didn't even think of that, i guess it would explain why they show her so attached to Lynn in the first episode
Potentially, Lynn’s dad is collecting parts to bring back her mother and also potentially the stitched up lady from last time (whose name escapes me) is the “failed” attempt of that. Which is definitely an interesting angle to explore for me.
Anyway, not a bad follow up at all and I’m curious to see how this wraps up.
I have to be honest, episode 0 feels a bit redundant. Maybe they wanted a self-contained case to start things. Tbh you could treat this as episode 1 and not much would be lost.
Seeing Lynn in a tracksuit with penlights was so jarring lol, she even did the wota cheer.
I did not expect Lynn to be a vampire fangirl OR go that hard with it *at all* and it was a much welcome surprise lol
Lol L human detective boy? Couldn't have followed him just a bit faster so he didn't have to die eh. Sucks to suck ig
Ok episode 2
Damn her father used to be hot
Girl is SO down bad for vampires. I mean yea ig that makes sense from a young girl.
Damn, he wants to try and bring her back to life huh? Don't think it's going to go as well as zombie girl's work in episode 1, and I wouldn't particularly describe that as 'going well' anyway.
...I mean, unless zombie girl somehow *is* the mother he's trying to revive but I don't think so?
I like this gap between her personality as like this comedic MC into vampires that's disconnected from the world in a way MCs usually are, and a girl that's fit within this medieval world with a tragic family
When everyone is supernatural no one is, it's just boring and generic including the girl.
How am I suppose to believe the vampire kid who is the APEX vampire of all vampires is some amazing detective when he can't even save Louis from being impaled because the writers needed him to die for the fake-out.
They just cut to him being there already without them and instantly dying it's such lazy writing, I do like fake-outs when they're not just straight up plot holes as they wouldn't even know he's there in the first place but they just show up meaning they could've easily saved him by being faster something very much possible for the most powerful vampire.
Then they revive him as a zombie to get his revenge yeah ok sure that's nice I guess. It just falls flat though because of how easily they could've saved him. Not to mention at the end of the last episode they take credit for him solving the case? Am I suppose to like these trio of people? I think they're assholes LOL.
I'm just pissed I got baited with a good detective anime and instead got some supernatural thriller slop.
I'll keep tabs on this show just incase Louis comes back, but in the meantime, I am agreeing with u/Typical_Papaya_5712

Always respect to another girlie who's into monsters like that,
I know I'm not supposed to think too seriously about a potential time period this vaguely takes place in especially with a magic esque fantasy setting, it's just, zippers feel like a Tiffany situation,
I enjoyed that ED quite a bit!
Hah...When I read that the character of Louis was anime only I figured the studio was trolling us and Louis wouldn't be coming back. He got edited out I think of the OP I think too? Not sure to applaud the excellent trolling or be annoyed that the got me invested in a throwaway character
This setting is very confusing. It's not another world because they reference Japan, Everyone dress like its Victorian times and the city mostly has that feel, while the camera and movies are late 20th century, and the comfy tracksuits and glowsticks are pretty modern.
I like that the real human protagonist is a vampire fangirl, which makes sense given the tomato juice scene from last week. Her reactions were arne were great, especially when Arne taking her blood was the old-fashioned way and not the sexy neck biting.
Dad seems to be building a Frankenstein, to maybe put his wife's soul into? I assume this is the origin of the nun from last week.
Anyway despite the bait and switch, I'll keep following it. Curious how they resolve next week, but I am guessing dad ain't making it out alive.
Lynn is adorable, but it's also somewhat questionable to provide a vampire to someone who is such a vampire fangirl. Good thing Arne isn't actually down to suck her blood the vampire way and just does a respectfully clinical blood draw.
I wonder if it's Lynn's mom that Arne knew or an ancestor. Mom was in the loop on the amulet being special and able to help her daughter in a pinch so the right knowledge did get passed down.
One thing so confusing is that what's the era of it. I thought the modern outfit and the projector was just like add-on au before this episode released, but the camera in Dad's hand of the dream is so confusing.
The way she threw off even Arne was so funny. I wonder if she has any powers of her own though to enable her to contribute to their detective agency. Arne has his OP vampire thing going and the necromancer girl had her bring people back from the dead power. Lynn has to have something of her own, possibly tied to that pendant of hers.
Excited to find out more in time. This promises to be fun. I'm enjoying the vibes. Not too serious or too silly. Just right.
Lynn went from “I miss my mom. Dad needs help.” to “vampires!!! Weeeeee!” lol. Arne thought he’d scare her and instead she’s like “drain me pleeeeease” lmao.
Looks like Lynn’s pops has been dabbling in some dark magic shit.
The dad is definitely pulling some Frankenstein type shenanigans given that only "one" person was murdered. I question if this flashback is also Amy's origin story.
Lynn is definitely down to get Sucked hard.
Enjoying the show quite a bit.
