Shout out to Gekijouban Idol Bu Show for the 5.00.
Durinthal2026-01-13 19:21
I wonder if anyone saw both One Punch Man S3 and Forget That Night, Your Majesty and gave the latter a higher score.
[](#harukathonk)
Gaporigo2026-01-14 16:59
Tbf the latter was always announced as a "light anime"
cppn022026-01-13 19:40
Average age over 32 now. Yikes.
Emi_Ibarazakiii2026-01-13 19:46
The young'uns don't answer surveys and stuff anymore, they just watch tik tok and comment '67' everywhere.

FatherDotComical2026-01-13 19:54
I remember when this sub was having a stroke when the average was going down, times change. 🥲
Then again, all those younger people might have just aged too, it's been that long.
PraetorIt2026-01-13 21:31
We're all ageing, unfortunately.
Melbuf2026-01-13 20:22
i wish i was still only 32, those were simpler times
ClemFire2026-01-13 20:33
That’s still young right
cppn022026-01-13 21:08
It is to me lol. I'm older than that.
dododomo2026-01-13 21:49
Well my country (Italy) would kill to have an average age of 32 (it's over 48 for now 💀).
So, it's definitely young lol
Lopsided-Spare-18312026-01-14 12:33
italy mention 🇮🇹
Zeallfnonex2026-01-13 21:32
I'M YOUNGER THAN AVERAGE AGAIN LETS GOOOOO
xbolt902026-01-13 22:58
Git off my lawn!
KageBijuu2026-01-13 23:34
I remember being a year or so older than the average age back in January 2015 when it was 21 or so. Today I am still a year older than the average age.
It's interesting that nearly every year, we get 2 years older.
entelechtual2026-01-14 12:56

I probably shouldn't be, but I kinda am surprised about Spy x Family being #1...
I almost never heard anything about it all season long, and the rare few times I've seen anyone talk about it, it was mostly talking about dropping it/how it's not as good as it was/etc!
I'm also surprised that Sanda is way more popular with the girls; I wonder why that is! (assuming it's not just lusting for Santa hah).
Lots of *best girl* on this show, and character aside a lot of the scenes are action-shonen-y, so..!
Bit sad for Kaguya, the timing probably hurts its popularity a lot!
-----
All in all, it was a very average season for me; Sanda, Gnosia and Kaguya were great. Everything else was somewhat forgettable.
cppn022026-01-13 19:56
>I probably shouldn't be, but I kinda am surprised about Spy x Family being #1...
It did rank 2nd in karma for most of the season so it perfectly makes sense. What's odd is MHA so low. Guess the people who watch MHA and upvote its episodes don't answer the survey.
FatherDotComical2026-01-13 19:59
I think Spy Family has comfortably settled. Those who love it, love it and those who didn't, moved on to other shows or complain. By season 3 there's not much difference to sell it if you didn't already love 1 and 2.
Then again I think Spy Family is way more popular in other spaces than reddit.
ClemFire2026-01-13 20:43
It is a comfortably consistent show for me. Never my favorite of its season (Off the top of my head Summertime Rendering, Bocchi the Rock, Frieren, and Watatabe took the corresponding top spots for me) but I really respect how I know Wit x CloverWorks is delivering quality time and time again. Most shows don’t get sequels and even the ones that do that have a fortune of them being given as much love as S1.
If anything Spy x Family has been getting even better for me with each outing, so I won’t be surprised if a future season becomes my top show
Zeallfnonex2026-01-13 23:36
With each ooting*
ClemFire2026-01-13 23:50
Anya approved spelling
manquistador2026-01-15 22:01
It is the most baseline "good" show that I can think of. Never a bad watch, good animation, but entirely forgettable. It exists to be an enjoyable 20-30 minutes and nothing beyond that.
duo99dusk2026-01-14 03:29
I think it is also an easy show to check out some episode and then never the rest, the formula is pretty well established. Similar to Detective Conan or something, but with the mainstream appeal thanks to how season 1 performed on streaming.
qwertyqwerty45672026-01-13 20:36
I kind of noticed this too late (literally less than an hour before the survey concluded), but Noble Farmer has fansubs available, but wasnt in the survey.
[](#yuishrug)
Infodump_Ibis2026-01-14 00:04
I'm not sure fansubs were required as Chou Futsuu Mahou Shoujo Asumi Toruverse was still listed (least popular anime this survey^(*), with 300 respondents and 0.3% it was just me).
I now just realised The Lenticulars was another absence.
^(*)-Actually no, Ninjala and Kagaku x Bouken Survival! 2nd Season had 0 responses so N/A and thus bottom of sorting by highest or lowest popularity.
Nick_BOI2026-01-13 21:14
Holy fuck we are old.
PraetorIt2026-01-13 21:29
Uh, is this difference between men and women common in the sub, compared to previous surveys? I mean, it's a significant gap.
Tehbeefer2026-01-13 21:51
it used to be worse, if that's any consolation
eightcheesepizza2026-01-13 21:35
**Tojima Wants to Be a Kamen Rider** is one of only two debuting shows in the Impressions top 10.
You should give this show a try, you'll piss yourself laughing. No Kamen Rider knowledge needed.
Awful_At_Math2026-01-14 00:25
I'm just happy Watatabe got some well deserved love. It's a really interesting story, imo.
Usodearu0072026-01-14 00:27
Nice to see "let this grieving soul retire" in the top 10 ! i hope we get S2 announcement soon.
Infodump_Ibis2026-01-14 00:32
I noticed both OPM S3 and Dusk at ~5% underwatched (lowest by far) and ~78.5% disappointment (highest by far) even if it was rather predictable as their failings are well commented on.
I didn't foresee (probably because I didn't notice any impressions whatsoever) Kakuriyo -Bed & Breakfast for Spirits- Season 2 ending the season with a 2.89 (anticipation was a 3.61) and the MAL power levels also slumped between seasons.
Time_Fracture2026-01-14 02:38
Surprised Sanda is that popular.
The real surprise is Tojima and Yano-kun are a surprise to many, higher than Gnosia.
Did Chitose's disappointment came from the delay? Towa no Yuugure also has a high disappointment as well.
tiny_nova2026-01-14 06:03
Tojima shocked me. I thought that was gonna be insta-drop. It's easy top 10. Maybe 5 if I start culling.
I thought it was gonna be wannabe heroes trying to talk-no-jutsu common thugs as they ride around town on bicycles in hockey pads. Like if Deku was in a world without powers.
Instead it's 4x Todo living their best delulu life and beat the shit out of true evil, all to a banger soundtrack. I could not be more pleased.
Frostbitten_Moose2026-01-15 01:20
I'm still happy with the fact that it somehow, with that premise, had a tournament arc and that it was appropriately batshit insane.
tiny_nova2026-01-15 01:28
Tojima/Yuriko up there next to Rock Lee/Gaara
duo99dusk2026-01-14 03:29
So glad Gnosia is there
bandannadann2026-01-14 07:28
It's a shame Sanda didn't penetrate the mainstream -- in fact, it really never even escaped the seasonal anime watcher bubble at all, despite boasting an impressive production from Science SARU in a season that desperately needed a breakout hit. I guess it just didn't bring enough to the table to interest battle shonen fans, and the mystery/thriller audience didn't show up either. Word of mouth just wasn't circulating. Shame, since I really enjoyed it!
Everyones_Dead_Dave2026-01-14 11:34
For a different perspective, I thought the show was visually fantastic but that's all it had, I actually found it a chore to finish, also with it being a Christmas theme, It's not going to get watched throughout the year like a typical backlog show might.
bandannadann2026-01-14 16:28
Really? The mystery had me hooked the whole way through, and I thought the setting was very eerie and thought-provoking. For me it was a nail-biter until the very end, although I will say that it ends sort of abruptly, which is a bummer considering they didn't immediately announce a season 2
manquistador2026-01-15 22:03
I don't think the ending did it any favors. If it had been more interesting I could see it gaining a bit more traction, but the soft reset was a big downer for me.
xXxHawkEyeyxXx2026-01-14 13:37
Didn't even see that the survey was up. Was it pinned?
Gaporigo2026-01-14 17:02
Yes
Timedy0092026-01-14 18:28
I've only watched sanda from this season is there anything else worth watching
